Persistant cough and runny nose

Nick has had a cough and runny nose for 2 months now. I've seen the doctor 4 times and he's taken 2 courses of antibiotics but it just keeps coming back. Anyone got any advise? Should I take him to a specialist?

My DS has had the same but only for about 2 weeks. He got it as soon as he started daycare - My daughter had the same when she started too so I was expecting it. I haven't been given antibiotics though because his nose isn't green. I just give him some demazin to clear the nose but there doesn't seem to be anything to get rid of that horrible cough.
