Engin Question

Hello

We have used engin before, and had some issues so I have some questions.

1)Why does Engin not work when they upgrade their site etc (e.g. we could not make or receive phone calls in this time)

2) Why can you not call emergency numbers?

The engin website plays no part with the engin network.
Over the last 2 months we have just implemented very large upgrades to our network and servers that will allow us to provide an excellent network to Australia. Around the same time as doing this we also implemented a complete new operating and billing system that will allow us to provide Naked DSL Broadband that we are releasing this year and TIVO that we are releasing early 2008.
All these upgrades did make an impact on some of our customers and the service they have. All these things are now fixed and you should not experience this again.

In regards to calling emergency numbers the answer is YES you can call emergency numbers from your engin phone if you have a 2 way service. We are one of the only Voip providers in Australia that does support emergency service numbers if you have a 2 way service.
A 2 way service means that we would have supplied you with an engin phone number to allow you to receive engin voip calls.

Thanks for the info. When we signed up late 2006, we had a 2 way system, but could not call emergency numbers. We cancelled in July, after having problems since May, so I guess it looks like Engin have done alot of work!
