View Full Version : One weetbix or two??

Hi there!

For over two weeks now I have been giving Ryan 1 weetbix (with cows milk) for breakfast followed by a bottle (approx an hour later) but lately he seems to start crying when he has finished his weetbix, sort of like he is wanting more - could this be it? Should I give him 1-1/2 weetbix maybe?? Or should i maybe just give him a bottle straight after? I don't want to overload his poor little tummy....

I would try him on 1 1/2. If he his full he won't eat any more. My DS has been eating 1 1/2 weetbix since about 8mths.

Maybe try him with some toast fingers after his weetbix?.....................

The toast idea never really ccurred to me... he normally has a rusk/biscuit around 10ish - but might give it a go! Thanks!

My piggy ds was eating 2 weet-bix by his 1st birthday!! :eek:

Yes, maybe he wants a little more!!

As the others have said i would try him on 1 1/2 & see how he goes & if he doesn't want anymore he wont eat it.

My DD was on one weetbix for a couple of weeks. I now give her one and half weetbix with chopped up banana with milk, she just loves it.

They really do know when they are full:) If he is still hungry then I say let him eat until he isnt interested anymore:)

I agree. they will let you know when they are full and dont want any more. My dd loved her vegimite on toast and would eat nearly a whole peice at the age of 6months! Its not going to hurt him having 2 week bix - make it up and if he doesnt eat it all then you know to only do one and a half.

Thanks heaps for your opinions! I have over the last two mornings started making up 1 & 1/2 and he is eating the lot! I do like the idea of adding the banana... Do you finely chop (nearly mashed) the banana or just really small pieces?
