Hi guys,
I need a bit of help here. Im not sure if my milks running out. DD (3 1/2 mths old) has been very cranky past week. she's even upset after a feed. I dont think she is teething.
She has been sleeping through the night but past week has been waking up through the night for a feed. She's cranky of an afternoon after a feed. I think i have enough milk, even of a night i have to wear nursing pads cos it runs everywhere.
What should i do?

Awww lovey you sound like you're stressed out (((hugs))) to you (I just gave you a cyber hug on another thread, too ;) )
More likely to be a growth-spurt than your milk running out. At the age she is, she just needs more food at the moment (which doesn't make you feel any better, I know) and the more she sucks, the more milk you'll make. If you de-stress yourself you might find the whole thing a lot easier too (but I know, it's much easier said than done to relax!)
Somebody will be along soon with some great advice, there's lots of breastfeeding mums on here who are absolute fonts of wisdom :D and I haven't breastfed for quite a few years now. But when I was feeding Vallerie, we had some issues and when I was trying to keep my milk supply up, it actually dropped away to nothing because of stress, stress and more stress.
:) Keep your chin up hun!!
She might be going through a growth spurt and just needing more food. Just feed her when she is hungry and it should pass soon enough.
i agree with The Queen,,,, what a good reply.

Sounds like a growth spurt, lochie was doing this last week, we had a hell of a week! I just fed him when he wanted it (always!!)
The other thing is has she really finished her feed? Is she cranky straight after? If so it maybe that she is still hungry, try her on the other boob. (Lochie has days where he likes one side rather than the other)
Good luck
I agree witht he other girls - sounds like a grwoth spurt. My ECHN told me they usually last around 7 days, sometimes up to 10. I wouldn't think it was your supply, but maybe just take it easy for a couple of days. One of the ways to boost supply is to not do anything, except feed bubs as required. Get DP, if possible, to look after the chores for a day or two. (Good excuse anyway!!!:D )
