Constantly sick while pregnant - HELP ME

I have been sick so often this pregnancy, and I don’t know why. Has anyone else been constantly sick while pregnant?

I have had Meningitis and so many colds that I have lost count. For the past 12 weeks or so I feel as if I have had a week off here and there and the rest of the time I have had a cold. At the moment I have a shocking cough that is making me vomit, it’s a really painful cough. My chest, throat and neck muscles are all sore from coughing all night. I just don’t know what is wrong with me.

I am beginning to wonder if the baby is the reason? Is seems like my immune system isn’t working to well.

I have been sick 7 weeks now! I took antibiotics and that didnt seem to help. My problem is sinuses, so I have a cough and runny/stuffy nose everyday! I cant wait until it goes away

Hey Mel,

I was like this when I was pregnant with DD.
With both of my DS's I was exceptionally healthy-not even a sniffle. A little bit of nausea early on but apart from that, fit as a fiddle.
I often wondered if it was because I was carrying a DD.

Pop yourself off to the DR and just get a check up.

I was always sick with DD and didn't go to the DR once thought "No I will leave it run its course". Well I ended up with an infection and was put on antibiotics. Made me feel much better.

Hope you feel better soon. Nothing worse to have a bad cough when you are pregnant, maybe it's just me but it doesn't help the bladder isssues I had while pregnant. There were so many bugs going around this winter, it's not fair.

Oh god, don't get me started on the bladder issues. I had no problems with DS, but now with this cough I sometimes have a leak. :o

I was continually sick when I was pg with DS - it was horrible. If it wasn't tummy bugs (which I never usually get) it was cold after cold after cold, all interspersed with general nausea and feeling disgusting.

Apparently your immune system isn't at its best when you're pregnant, so that your body doesn't attack the baby. That's what I heard anyway.
