I would like to know.... i have some quick cook porridge in the cupboard and woundering if this would be ok to give my 7 mnth old buba? He is mastering textures quite well and with the quick cook porridge it is a smaller size then normal porridge.
Love to know.....Ta

I gave Andrew porridge when he was around 8 or 9 months. He didn't really like it though. Weetbix was a more successful cereal! :)

I think if he is fine with a bit of texture in his food, then go for it. When you say 'quick cook porridge' do you mean the sachets? If it is the flavoured porridge I would suggest checking the sugar content as they are quite sweet. I think the plain would be better for bubs. That's just my opinion though.

It was recommended by the CHN for Zak that I start him on porridge, then progress to weetbix. (between six and seven months)
She seems to think it was fine as long as they were the raw rolled oat variety. But as mentioned above, yes, I'd check the sugar contents in what you have.

My MIL sent us some porridge sachets which I tried MJ on at about 7months & she loved them. She prefers it with some grated apple :D
