Hi, I have just moved to Narre Warren and need to choose where to have my baby. I was going to go to Casey but they won't take me as I had a c-section at Box Hill with my first child and am now concidered med-high risk. I am so confussed and know nothing about the hospitals in a 20 min radius.
PLEASE HELP??
Frankston/Clayton/Dandenong/Angliss????:detective:

I find monash pretty good, very big though and pretty impersonal but they do have everything there to cater for bubs, prems etc, cs etc etc, you could also try sandringham as well, the only thing i found with them were they left you alone if you already had a child they assumed you didnt need any help LOL but the care during birth was great

 I live in Narre Warren and I was too high risk to have my babies at Casey as well wich sucks as they really are the best hospital for maternity.
I went to Dandenong I had a really bad experience with dd1, a great experience with ds and a not as bad as dd1 but bad with my dd2 who is now nearly 6 weeks.
Midwifes have been fantastic it's the doctors:thumbsdown: Both dd's were born at a flat out time and the need for beds, tired staff etc all contributed to my time. The day I had dd1 there was 15births that day. Once birth is over in the ward they are all fantastic
Monash would be great but I wouldn't want to drive there in peak hour:no: With the way the traffic gets in that area the sth east was bad enough at 7am just to get to dandy.
Good luck with your decision I have heard Angliss is fantastic but again too far for me and my dh to travel with kids everyday.
Id highly recommend Monash at Clayton to you. They are fantastic. I had my DD there and the care was great. The midwives were really easy to get along with and didnt force their opinions on me which i appreciated. I had an emergency c section there.
As for traffic and things in the area. I live in Somerville on the Mornington Peninsula and never found it an issue. It took me 30 mins to drive there even in peak time.
Otherwise i would recommend Frankston Hospital, havent been there myself but my DPs nephew was born there and the facilities are good.
