Woops forgot to say were moving house to a different suburb and won't be close to the school that they go to at the moment.

Personally, I would wait. It does make things easier. They don't miss any school work. They can use the school holidays to get use to the idea of going to a new school.

depends how far out of the way the current school is.

How old are they?

I would wait. There is not that much longer for the school year.

We moved and I changed my DD school for the new year.

Yep I would wait too

There is not that much of the school year left and they will make friend with the other kidlets in you're new neighbourhood. And they may go to the school you are going to send you girls.

I personally would wait, i have changed schools half way through, quarter of the way through and would never do it to my kids. Not that there was anything wrong with it as such.
New school year, kids normally all have a change of teacher and kids get swapped around. She may not feel so only new student if you know what i mean. :rain:

Thanks,
Were moving about 10 km's away i guess its not much but it adds up over the weeks and i'm sure its better to keep them in the school they are in now until the end of the year.

the only reason I can think of to move sooner is that they may make friends in the new area that they can play with over the Christmas holidays.
