Hi everyone,
Thought we could post here about meeting up in this thread and leave the other ones for news or questions.
The lastest is meeting at Chaddies in New Lambtom next Tuesday 12th at 11:30am.
Unfortunately Harry and I can't make it my parents are coming down from QLD on the weekend and I want to spend as much time as we can with them before they go back on Wednesday. Have a good time.

Hi Everyone

Sorry it has taken me a couple of days to get back on. I had a chuckle when I saw how many posts had gone up since I last checked- we must be caffeine starved!

Just to complicate things a bit more - I have an OB appointment on Wednesday 13th at 11:30. On the brighter side, seeings as bub is still "incubating", I am flexible and can make it any other time, any other place. However, in saying that, I am more than happy to fit in around what the majority can do, so if that means Wednesday 13th, I'll drop by Chaddies after my appointment and catch up with anyone that may still be there.

Really looking forward to meeting you all (either next week or at the next gathering).

So glad we've finally decided on a date! I'll make a booking so we are guanteed a table for Wed 13th at 11.30. I'll ask them to put a note on the table "Bub Hub Mums" so we can find each other. There always seems to be groups of mums with prams there.

Hi all,

I've made a booking at Chaddies for Wed 13th @ 11.30 for outside under the umbrellas. The only problem being that if it is raining, they can't accomodate us all and our prams. I have to call in the morning around 9 and cancel if it's raining on the day. What do you want to do in that event? Postpone to another day or we could go somewhere else? There is a pub in Regent St called The Duke of Wellington. I've never been in there but it looks nice and it's quite roomy. I had a read of the menu from the street and if you were to eat a full meal there it would probably be a bit pricey, but to have coffees etc should be ok... what do you all think? Any other suggestions? Let's just hope it doesn't rain and we'll meet as planned at Chaddies.

Yesterday was our first coffee meeting and there was five of us and we had coffee at Muffin Break and chatted. At this stage I think it might be a weekly thing but nothing is set in concrete!!! I think next week we're meeting at Lambton park or Warners Bay depends what people would like to do.

Leroy and I can't make it this week, as he has come down with a bad cold. he's got really bad nappy rash too (which he never gets) so he's not a happy boy. hope he gets better soon, it's so heartbreaking seeing him so uncomfortable and in so much pain when I change his nappy.

hope all the other bubs (and mums!) are well. hopefully we can come next week.

I think theres meant to be rain coming, so we could meet at Charlestown Square in the Food Hall. Up the back behind where KFC & Mcdonalds is, there is a play area for kids under 4. Its really good.

I went to Mega Mania last week with some friends and we had an absolute ball. We were there for about 3 hours and just gossiped while the kids played. Food was pretty good too.

It was Leroy's birthday yesterday and a fun day was had by all... so tiring though isn't it? For him and me! We are having a combined naming/party on Sunday. Geez I hope the rain stays away otherwise 30 odd people are going to be squashed in our little house instead of speading out in the sun at King Edward Park. I went a few weeks ago and it was fantastic. Ella is 14 months and had a ball. She didn't sleep all day 'cause we were there for so long. The toddler area at the front is great for the littlies but she also loved playing out the back with the big kids. I just had to climb up everything and go down the slippery dips with her. And of course Connor had a ball........I didn't see him for ages as he made some new friends there with other kids his age.

I probably won't be able to make it to Mega Mania due to work..........hope you all have fun.

Seems like everyone has been busy lately???I know I have call me silly but I have gone back to work, only 3 days a fortnight. Have to keep my hand in the pie as one would say!! It's not too bad as I have a great boss who allows me to bring Abi to work with me which is fun. But the day I have Abi my boss isn't actually in the office so it's fine, on the other day my DH has taken the day off to be the daddy which is a relief as I really don't want to put Abi in care as yet. I did get a place near my work on the central coast which is fantastic centre and new. I am crossing my fingers that I can still get a place one day a week in Mayfield, not holding my breath though.
Well we should met up .........how many times have we all said that I work on Mondays and Fridays and free any other days. Yet again we're off to Melbourne for Abi's baptism, I could have chosen a better month due to the cold but she'll be rugged up.

I've only lived here a year or so myself (lived in Sydney for 10 years before). I think the biggest adjustment is the lack of public transport (esp as I don't drive, and in Syd you can get a bus or train just about anywhere!) Is it your family or your husbands that are here? the visit from Leroy's grandma was lovely, they hit it off right away. Except when he first saw her he didn't take his eyes off her for about half an hour - thought she looked like his daddy I think; he doesn't see many black people (except for his dad of course!) and I think when he does he thinks they all look like his daddy! It must be confusing for him at that age.

Sounds good guys......I promise I will make sure the car is running this time, it was a bore waiting for NRMA places to go people to met I told them. Little Abi has her first head cold so our household is a tad down at the moment, hopefully be up and running next week though.
Hiya leis-Sorry to hear about poor little elliot, I hate seeing little people sick not nice at all specially in hospital. My bestfriends 8 week old has been in hospital with a chest infection and it tore me to pieces to see her like that.

I'm so sorry I have to do this again, but I can't come tomorrow (wed 13th) I've double booked - it's my friends birthday and we are going out for lunch. evidently Wednesday isn't a good day for me. Don't take it personally! Hope I can be there next time! What about Thursday in two weeks time (28th)? The park or Westfield?? Let me know what you decide.

Sorry to hear about Elli, it's so horrible, I've had it too. Leroy didn't get it though, thank goodness. I had it last winter too and ended up in JHH for a night. Yuck.

Leroy is keeping me on my toes! He's starting to want less sleep in the day now, he still has two sleeps currently, but he's up till all hours at night (usually goes to bed about 9pm) Yesterday he didn't have an arvo sleep so I tried putting him to bed about 8 and he cried and cried, he was so over tired. I was thinking "OMG - 6 months of sleep training out the door in one night" Bit stressful. It'll be a slow process I think.

My golly gosh how long can a head cold last in a baby???? When I think she is better her noses just runs and runs and then the coughing starts. Very sick of being at home but I just don't want to take her out in this weather :-(
