View Full Version : Undecided with immunisation...

I know it is a bit early , but i have been thinking lots about not immunising DD3.
I immunised DD1 and DD2, only because i thought well you have to have it done. Being scared something will kill them and not knowing any better.

But, with DD3 i have read lots on Bubhub to support NOT vaccinating her.
I did get the Hep B shot in hospital ( was not going to), but with all that was going on, my mouth blurted out yes and not no.

Where else can i find supportive info on NOT immunising babies...

Have you had a look through the BH threads??...some of them have huge lists of links and articles from both sides of the argument.

Its really important to look at both sides, you dont just want to go along with what non-vaxers (me being one of them) say either. You really need to make the decision for yourself and with your husband/partner.

ETA: This is a good thread...

You should also check out the aust gov immunisation site, there is lots of information there, this site explains what a vaccine contains, and other stuff including allergy's which i was interested in because my son has a severe egg allergy, i haven;t experienced any probs with him.

Jodie  Just on a FYI thing.
I read this site as my son also had a severe egg allergy. It advised that the live vaccines did not contain any egg at all but the producers of the vaccine clearly state in their side effects info that it does. It is however considered to be only a small amount. When I enquired about the inconsistancy of the information they admitted that there is a chance but it is subject to discussion with a health professional. They also bear no responsibility for anything going wrong based on the information on the website.

I guess it will depend upon how severe your allergies as to whether it affects you or not but thought it might be worth reading a little more into or asking a few other questions for you...
For us it was too much of a risk and we are selective vaxers. When I started doing more research I was shocked at all the things they dont tell us.

Hi missie_mack, as far as i am aware the chicken pox vax does contain egg, the immunisation site does say this in the myths and realities section, but if you are still unsure check with your doctor.
