I have broadband with AAPT $29.95 line rental, $29 homechat which gives me $50 free calls,$29.95 broadband 255k when used up just slows down no extra charge.....

What plan do you suggest for me?:idea:

Hi Sonya,

I think the National plan would be great for you. $14.95 per month gives you FREE local and national calls to any land line in Australia. 22 cent per min to any mobile in Australia (no flag fall or connection fee) from 3.5 cents to international and engin to engin free.

You will need to keep your broadband connection current as you require broadband to use VoIP. You will also need to have a speed of 512/128. If it slows down to 256/64 you will lose quality.

Andrew what is the lines like? I am in Tasmania does that make much difference and is there a joining fee? or set up fee?

Hello,

It does not matter where in Aus you are located. Tas is fine. As long as you have a good internet connection with a min 512/128 speed and a compatible modem then you should be fine.
There is no joining fee or Admin charges. You will require an engin voice box of some kind. To work out what engin box you need i will need to know make and model of your modem please.
