Obs in Eastern Suburbs of Melbourne

Hi

Coudl anyone gve me recommendations of obs that deliver at mitcham or Knox??

Also just rough idea of out of pockets if they don;t mind??

I have just spoken with one but the fee structures are so confusing and with my preggie brain it is making it worse!!

Cant help you with mitcham or know but have a wonderful Ob who works out of Mt waverly private.

He is absoloutely fantastic:)

I DO NOT, in any way, shape or form, recommend Dr Peter Tang.

I do however, recommend the one Candyn is speaking about...worth the travel to Waverley in my opinion.

If you don't want to go to Waverly private and have my awesome obs i know of one that delivers at knox and that is Dr Rasiah.

Thanks Candyn - have you heard anything about them? If I could I would travel to waverley and go back to my first ob but just isn;t possible this time around!

Dr Rasiah was a good Obs i had him for prenatal care (as i went public)He was such a sweet guy that he came whilst i was in labour just to check up on me (he didn't have)

Check out Dr Colin Orchard, he is very good too (don't know if he does knox need to check that out)

3 of my close friends including my SIL had Dr Peter Tang and all of them loved him (and Mitcham Private). Depends on what type of bedside manner you prefer I guess?

Another friend had Dr Stephen Cohn (Mitcham) and he delivered all four of her children and she travelled all the way from Bendigo to see him - so she obviously liked him! :D

Dr Jacques Lam is fantastic but delivers at SJOG, Berwick and South Eastern PH. I've had him for all my pregnancies and he's been excellent. Most of my friends have been to him too and keep going back.

We had our 1st child in January this year and Dr Chester Yeoh was my ob. He was absolutely fantastic and guided me through a really long, difficult labour - to a sensational result - happy, healthy Mum, Dad and Daughter. Mitcham private was excellent as well, the midwives are just gorgeous. Hope this helps.

I recommend Peter Tang! He works for both Knox Private & Mitcham. We find him very friendly, caring and helpful! Have had no probs and he has come highly recommended to me by many people! :thumbsup:

His fees are $700 at week 15 and $700 at week 25. All routine visits are bulk billed.

And then you just have the ultrasound costs which you can claim some back on medicare.

I had Dr Peter Tang for both my boys.
I really liked him first time around and would NEVER EVER go see him again!!!!!!!!

One thing i will put up in here though is that when i went for my 6 week check up after having bubs he told me my pap smear was due and to go to the Gp and get it done!!

I didnt like the thought of him touching me again anyway so i didnt care,but just the nerve of him..

I also wouldnt mind knowing this Ob thats at Waverly:yes: ..

Mumma2jack - I will shout it too. DENNIS PRICE, he is so beautiful and mamaduke is right by seeing him, you want to get pregnant just to have him as you obs he just makes you feel special and he LISTENS.

Thanks guys - I just had a feeling about an after my something mr dr said so I have now changed to Sophie Leong - I have only spoken to a coupl of people that have had her but all feedback has been excellent - I will let you know how I end up going with her.

he is my OB and I think he is fantastic also! I have heard so many great things about and recommendations and only a handful of negative experiences...but you are not always going to get on with everyone huh!

But I have had no probs and am happy to have him as my OB! :thumbsup:
