I've recently been drying my terry flats in the sun,and there's a bit of wee stink on them  .This wasn't there before, when I tumble dried them in winter....any tips on getting the smell out?
Thanks in advance!
I'd probably try a hot wash followed by line drying.
If that doesn't work try again but add 1/4 cup of vinegar to the rinse.

I have the same problem. I have been using Aware no fragrance, rinsing before washing and hanging out in the sun. They still smell like pee. The only way that I can sort of combat it is to pre-rinse AND wash in hot water. It sux really. I dont really want to use vinegar as I heard it can deteriorate mcn if used too much. But I am sure it would be fine for flats

I use a fragrance free powder (planet ark aware sensitive), and hot wash on the heavy duty cycle which has an extra rinse

I don't use any laundry detergents, hot wash and line dry...never had anything come off the line smelling like wee! Go the sun :D
As for what you could do, i'm not too sure, try a hot wash with no detergent to give them a bit of a strip incase there is any kind of residue build up and see if that helps :)

Yep, you're right. Not for MCN but fine for terry flats. Vinegar can be detrimental to pul and elastic if used for extended periods of time, although once in a while is fine.
