Bridget Rose... (Bridget is the name DH has always liked and Rose is short form Rosemary which is my mums first name DD has her middle name and we wanted part of mum in this next one too)

Charlie BJ...(BJ stands of Ben John after my brother Ben and John cause on both Dh and my side of the family have John as a first or middle name and we want to keep tradition going and Charlie after my fav grandpa that past away)

loooovely names ladies!!

I wish we could pick some that easily!

I love uncommon but not weird names
DH loves common common names

It doesnt make it easy to name our children!! lol

LilTandMe, DH wants Brock if its a boy, but its too close to Brayden, my poor brain will get confused when they are older, Bray...uhhh...brock, bray, brock.... its all too much lol

But it is a very nice name! and Peter Brock was a legend!

QTB - I have a Braden (spelt differently) as well. Funny thing is his name was Brock for first 5 days, went through a few, Kyle, Dylan, Aidan and Brock until we decided on Braden when he was about 7 days old. He's 16 now and I love his name - totally suits him. I also have a Keagan, Zane and Mia. Anyone feel free to use them if you like!

For this baby, I love the name Harper for a boy or a girl

We have a girl's name picked, it will be:
Layla Julie Anne

(We want two middle names as DF and I both have two middle names)

But for a boy we have no idea!! We can't agree at all. I like Spencer James but he likes Magnus. I'm not calling my son Magnus! (No offence intended to people who like the name)

You are probably having a girl! I could only chose a girls name with DD and stuck with it until DP changed it at 23 weeks. Couldn't think of 1 boys name I liked For this one I am thinking of Summer or Sienna. Can't chose a boys since DP told me I can't have Nicholas because they would have the same initials

DP and I have finally settled on names for now. If it's a boy it will be Jacob Alexander and if it's a girl it will be Elianna May. Let's see how long they stick for:laughing:

In my DHs' Family anyone born with the last name Ewbank seems to follow a pattern.
Boys on odd years and
girls on even years.

Its been like that for over 40 births.
There where only 2 exceptions and that was girls born in odd years.

LOL because I already have 2 boys whats a bet ill be the exception and have another boy.

Not that Ill love em any less but a girl would be nice.

DP and I were talking about names just last night.

For a girl, I like

Jade - because we both have green(ish) eyes and I have a feeling she would too :)

I loved the name Caitlyn but my cousin took that a few years ago!

For a boy, I like

Lachlan
Xander - but apparently that's too Buffy for DP

But I don't think I will make a decision until much later on.

How do you go about having middle names after someone (like my mum) without offending someone else (like my MIL)?

Bex

We've got a girls name picked out but we're completely stuck for a boys name.
Though I did just find a really good australian website: aussiethings and there's a link for baby names.
you can scroll down through all the names of one letter, with meanings, other spellings and origins beside it without the hassle of clicking on a "Next 10" button

This isn't my baby name, but i'll tell you some I love but won't be using:

Matilda
Jem
Scout
Atticus

Can you tell I love the book To Kill A Mockingbird? haha

It was my dream to name my child Scout (big fan too) but then I married into the name King, and Scout King just doesn't work  Might as well be Scout Master!

Last names suck! our last name is Shorten

so nothing we like seems to go...

we liked Talen (pron Taylen) but Talen Shorten looks to me like tallen shorten... sooooo bad!

we are having that sort of trouble with allll names

Brayden ended up rhyming.. i think this bub may end up rhyming too!!

DH and I are thinking Rowan for a boy and Olivia or Audrey for a girl. Haven't any middle names yet - any suggestions to go with this might be helpful.
Bubba #1 is Peter Jeffrey - named after DH's father and my father. I think it works perfectly! Naming bub doesn't seem as easy this time around though. PJ was picked out within a week of the positive pregnancy test! :)

KristyD - My high school teacher was a Daw, Rowland Daw (Roley Daw) how mean! Haha

OK, I think I have chosen a couple that I like and who cares what DP thinks for now, right?

Maddison Jade
Hadyn Jack

And both DP and I have awful last names so the kid is going to be picked on regardless. Poor thing :(

Hi girls

When I was growing up I loved the name Natasha and was so sure that I would name my girl that...

Well we ended up naming DD Leilani Joan (leilani: heavenly flower, Joan: my grandma's name).
For the up and coming, I have fallen in love with the name Stella.

Don't have a boy's name that I love, DH wants Griffen (no way, that was our dog's name.) And the middle name if its a boy to be Danger...he is totally serious! Men, haha!

I love reading all the names, I must admit most of the names you are all suggesting I have never heard of. The names in europe are much more safe, sort of plain names, I notice people here used really romantic or soap opera type names. They are so lovely. Well these are the name I like so far;

William,
Edward,
Noah (though that is way out for people at home they all laugh when I say it but its actually my total favourite, I love it)

Mia
Ella
Olivia

I love names that aren't so common and you girls have just got some beauties! luv them.

So far our thoughts of names are:-

Girl
Charlotte (Charli) Jade
Imogen Nicol
Poppy Jade

Boys
Logan Paul (Sounds a bit like Paul Hogan!!)
Ethan Paul

It's so hard though as i would love Poppy but I have a girl that I've just met at school and her daughters name is poppy!! I love the name Ella too and her other daughters name is Ella! :banghead: it's really hard but we want to get 3 solid yes's of each sex and then choose when the baby is born!!!
Keep the names coming, love reading them all!!

We're just getting into the naming game. I refused to start until I was past 12 weeks. We have a Caitlin and an Olivia and I'm sure this will be another girl DH is from a Dutch background and the name Jacobia (pronoucned Jack o b a) is used a lot in their family. I love it - but unfortunately DH hates it - so no go. I've also been thinking about Georgie but I'm not sure if that works - I guess she'd have to be Georgia. It's going to be fun trying to agree on girls names - we've always struggled to find ones we both like. On the other hand if we do have a boy it's easy. He will be Jack or Harry - we've had these two picked out for years.

I also like (but can't have)

Maddison Kate
Jordan (girl)
Taylah (girl)
Noah (boy)
Eva Lilly
Ella rose
