Bood in Discharge

Hi there,

I hope someone can shed some light for me and hopefully put my mind at rest.....

I am 18 weeks pregnant and have been having a bit of "love" in the last few days.

I am experiencing the usual discharge after this form of excercise but I have noticed that it is slightly tainted with red blood (the discharge itself) when I have gone to the loo the last few times today.

Is it normal or should I be concerned?

I will call my ob in the morning but for now, should I be more worried?????

I quiet often bleed during sex, personally if its only a tiny amount try not to worry, i found i had like a quick bleed, maybe half an hour of little bits when i wiped etc then it passed.

Have you got any pain or anything? my gp told me it was just grazing or could be from something on my cervix etc or the placenta could be low etc...

chat to your gp in the morning though for your own peace of mind just from what your telling me it doesnt sound too serious :)

my 'guess' ... and it IS a guess .. would be that it is just blood from the sex... the whole area is more sensitive - and swollen from the hormones (and there is always more discharge from the 12 ish stage of pregnancy anyway) .. ???

definitely ring the OB in the morning .. and fess up to the activity :laughing: - but unless the bleeding gets heavy - or continues for a long time I would try to sleep well ..
