HAPPY BIRTHDAY GIN happybirthday HAVE A GREAT DAY TODAY!!!!! Any cards as yet :detective: hehe
Mel HAPPY 6 MONTHS ELLERY  Hope all goes well today with E needles. Have a nice day otherwise.
Well i went and did the food shopping tonight... ALONE!! I had a great time too. When i got home though Amity was still in her high chair with food all over her face and on the floor and when i called to DP i got no answer. I asked Amity where he was and she said "Daddy in bed". I went and had a look for him and he was fast asleep on the lounge!! Needless to say he got a serving from me.
Lana OMG I would have been so p###ed off, If any thing like my DH he was probably tired yes, BUT he had to make a concious decision to lay down and therefor fall asleep Naughty Naughty!!!:shame: hehe
Well my Noah is still sick so we are of to the doctors today. I hope he hasn't got a chest infection or bronchititis(sp) ahhhh So no movies with E today,Sorry Elijah honey, maybe Sunday with Dad & Mum.
Have a nice day everyone  :D

Kellie - sorry to hear that Noah isn't too well. Hoping it isn't a chest infection but definately best to go to the Dr. and get onto it. Poor little thing - I am sure he is really grizzley and out of sorts. Hope he improves real soon and you're able to take Elijah to the movies soon.
Just went for a walk to the local. had a coffee. E's being good so far. I am wishing 9.30am would be here so I can get these damn needles over and done with....:(

happybirthday HAPPY BIRTHDAY GIN! happybirthday
I hope you have a fantastic day today!
Kel - Poor Noah being sick, hopefully it isnt a chest infection as they are horrible.
Mel - How did Ellery go with her needles? Was she a brave little mite? I wish the weather was nice and sunny over here :(
Yep i was really annoyed at DP. I know he works very long hours and he gets really tired but thats no excuse. As you said Kel, he made the conscious choice to lay down knowing d@mn well that he would probably fall asleep.
Mel-thank you for the positivity, it made me laugh to get a compliment on my mistake in shrinking the pants! :D :hugs:
Happy 6monthbirthday Ellery!
Lana-your friend looks beautiful in that shot, makes me feel a bit of a slob that I never wear anything but jeans and a t-shirt...:o A bit no-no from Sam, does he realise just how silly it was? Hope so
Kel- hopefully it's just a bug or a bit too much pollen around or something, not a chest infection!
And yes, a lovely card this morning! It is so sweet, it says "MUM" on the front, then inside has his foot and hand print, a heart, and 'happy birthday!' painted on. A lot of work from them. I admit, having it say "Mum" gave me a teary moment :o
Also, pancakes in bed, yummo!

Oh and Carrie back to you being shot down, i received a warning for expressing my opinion, it would seem just when i logged on now in my private msgs... so just goes to prove you cant have an opinion on this forum!
For the life of me i cant see in the post where i have insulted or verbally attacked someone, not compared to other peoples posts. So as of now this is only place i will be chatting.
Hope everyone is well, will read/catch up on posts when i don;'t feel like sh!T.

Ok we are back from the docs and poor little Noah has Bronchiolitis which is different to bronchitis. He still coughing a lot gosh this morning he coughed so much in one go he brought back up 1/2 his morning bottle ewww all over mummy's jarme coat. For those who are not sure what bronchiolitis is here's an info page http://www.rch.org.au/kidsinfo/factsheets.cfm?doc_id=3717
his symptoms are exactly the same.
Thanks ladies for all your well wishes for Noah.
Mel Noah isn't at all grizzly which is a little bit deceiving cause he has such a nasty cough but is as happy as larry.:D You were off to the local shops early and I thought gee she must be organised this morning, then I remembered ahhh she gets up so bl##dy early
Lana Just being curious (and nosey), what does DP do for a job?
Gin Glad you had a special moment this morning for your b'day.:babydust2:
Vicki Hope you are feeling better soon:hugs: , not fair about the warning hey:thumbsdown:

Carrie, I don't think I willbe able to make it...I won't really know until the day before.
Had a bit of an interesting few days. My Sister Donna went to the Treasure Casino wednesday night with our BIL Cameron. While he was playing the tables Donna went outside for a smoke. Outside there were quite a few people men & woman out there and they started to talk to Donna and that was okay. 2 men in particular were really nice to here. Donna went back inside and one of the men followed her. they got on really well, and so they played the pokies abit and then Donna had to go to the toilet. So she headed off to the ladies and didn't realised the guy was following her. she went into the toilet and he followed her in there to and then into the cubicle. He then attacked her. I'm not sure what heppened after that but the manager at the casino called the police and she was taken to hospital. I have know Idea what happened to Cameron, but my other sister didn't bother to tell me till lunch time the next day. She actually didn't even know where Donna was. So I rang the hospital and asked if she was there and they put me through to some rude man, And he said she's not wanting to talk to anyone and hung up on me. So there wasn't much else i could do. An hour later a Doctor rang me and told me told me that she's wanting to come home and that some one would ring me to let me pick her up. About 5pm Donna rings me and said 'are you going to pick me up?' and I said someone was suppose to ring me. So Dh drove me straight up. Donna hadn't had anything to eat all day so on the way home we made a detour into Hungry Jack. Thankfully she's okay. Sorry that was so long.
Anyway I better feed Cooper.
Back soon.
Emma omg that is so scary re your sis!! i hope she is ok, what a horrible thing to experience...
Gin happybirthday and i'm so pleased you got your lovely card. Al would never do that, he hates cards for some reason. i cried on mothers day and my bday coz no card from Harper - the one he got the day after my bday doesnt make up for it!! sighhhh...
oh and i didnt make the quiche, itwas from the playcentre cafe and was totally flavourless.
Kel poor little Noah! my friends 18mo girl had that same thing last week...
Lana naughty Sam! oh i would've cracked it!! and your friend looks gorgeous in her sari too.
Mel happy half-birthday to Ellery. how were her shots? Harper was ok til later then his legs felt warm and he was grumpy.
well, i was giong to visit a friend today but her bub is sick so we're staying home. i am thinking about starting to sort out the junk room but i am SCARED  its a major job...

Emma Holy Sh#t!!!!!! gosh how terrible for your sister. She's so lucky it didn't go any further. I can't believe that happened in the casino especially with all those security cameras. Didn't anyone see him follow her in there? What's the go with the hospital? Shame on the that rude man, did you find out who he was? I bet she was glad when she was you.....:hugs: for your sister Em.
Kel, Hope Noah gets better soon. Poor little bubba.
I'm not sure if my sister new who he was or not. she really won't tell me the whole story which is understandable. But the police advised her not to press any charges as she was all happy and everything with him on the cameras, as it would be hard to charge him with anything. So that really sucks.
Emma - hope your sister is doing alright. It's so true - you just can't trust anyone, which is awful - especially if they were being nice etc... Just awful - there are so many creeps and nasties out there hey. Hope she gets better soon.
Kellie - sorry to hear that Noah isn't too good - but at least you know exactly what it is. I read the information sheet - handy to know. Ellery had a bad cold when she was about 3 months old - i took her to the Dr. and thankfully it didn't develop into anything worse. Hope he gets better real soon.
Gin - hope your birthday's been great.... The card would be super special too.
As for the pants - didn't want to laugh, as you'd put so much effort into them. They look cutsy regardless...... Good on you.....
Vicki - hope you're feeling well soon... You've been ill for a little while now haven't you? (or am i getting confused with someone else?) Hope you're on top of things real soon.
Shame about the warning as well - especially because you don't actually know where or how you've offended someone? BIZARRE.... We like you heaps here anyway.;)
Ellery was super brave with her needles. She let out one almightly CRY at first - loudest I've ever heard her.... The Dr was even impressed with it (must take after her mum... aagghh)... But, it only last a minute or 2. Then she pouted with the lip down around her chin for 5 mins - then it was all over red rover. Got home, had bottle - had lie down. Then DP got home and she's been a happy camper ever since. So, thankfully NO DRAMAs..... :smiliedance:
Been warm here today. They predicted storms but there is nothing on the bureau except some rain way out west. So, might not be getting the thunder and lightening after all.
No plans for tonight - very quiet. Might have a glass of wine, but no champagne - after my last effort I will stay clear for a while. I get completely stupid after 2 glasses....
Emma, I hope your sis is OK! I am guessing that she must have been at least seriously upset, if not hurt, to be taken to hospital so shame on the police for telling her that! Apart from anything else, the guy could now feel like he got away with it
The important thing is that she gets better though, so :hugs: to her.
Mel-do you find that the day seems long after such an early start? I sometimes feel that when I get up early that the afternoon stretches on forever! (You know those days when you miss your DH and just want them to hurry up and get home! LOL)
Ellery sounds like a little champ with the shots, how cute are the bottom lip dramas! I feel mean but I just melt when Kes does that, heartbreaking but adorable!
We have lots of wind here, and every so often torrents of rain! Dad called earlier, he was saying it is nothing like the day I was born, which was apparently sunny and warm! Mum's room looked out to tall gumtrees, and down to the ocean... and there was a little green caterpiller which came from the flowers my brothers brought her which she watched crawl from one wall to the other across the roof! LOL, she loved that hospital!
Michaela-I totally know what you mean, I kind of pretend I don't remember missing out on Mother's Day as I get a bit sad... hence my not-so-subtle hints about the card. Not to worry though, little Harps will have so much fun making you cards for all your future birthdays (even if Aunty Lana has to 'help' ;) )... :D
Are you doing OK with the junk room? You're brave, I'll give you that, LOL
Kes took me out for coffee and cake for my birthday, and then relaxed in front of a DVD long enough for me to whip him up some babylegs! They're a tad short, but very cute anyway, and perfect for lazy days at home when I don't bother with a cover for his nappy so his legs are bare.
he is actually napping now, I think this might officially now be called his 'routine!' Very exciting thought that he may actually keep up with an arvo nap (it has been 30 minutes! Yay!)
**EDIT: 30 minutes seems to bit 'it'... damn! LOL

But the police advised her not to press any charges as she was all happy and everything with him on the cameras, as it would be hard to charge him with anything. So that really sucks.
Emma This doesn't make sense to me?? Of course she was happy with him, she had just met someone she thought was nice but isn't that what they call Date Rape (not that she was raped) when u r with someone you know and something like that happens. I do not understand the police saying not to press charges, couldn't he be charged with assult or attempted rape??? But of course she might not want too.
Ellery was super brave with her needles.
Mel glad to hear all went well with Ellery's needles. Noah and Harper both had warm legs fom the needles so just be aware :) Enjoy that wine, good idea!!!!
Thanks everyone, re my sister.
I do not understand the police saying not to press charges, couldn't he be charged with assult or attempted rape??? But of course she might not want too.
Yes I think it's more that she doen't want to deal with it. We've had problems with our dad in the past IYKWIM. she had also had a few drinks so that might be another reason why the police didn't want to do anything.

Lana Just being curious (and nosey), what does DP do for a job?
Lol he is an electrician. Sorry to hear that Noah is so sick, poor little love.
Emma - OMG! Your poor sister! She must have been absolutely terrified. I hope she is ok now.
Bad news, my poor sister has miscarried again. She cant seem to get past 7 weeks. She has made an appt to see a specialist through her private health and after her D&C on Monday the specialist wants to check that her uterus is ok and do some blood work etc. She wants kids so badly... in her words "I dont care if it costs me $5,000 to have a kid!"
Oh Lana, hugs for your sister. Hope the specialist can find out whats wrong.
Lana that's so sad! The poor girl, I hope she can get some answers soon :fingerscrossed:
I just uploaded today's photos, so here are the homemade babylegs (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v671/Edmund1/babylegs.jpg) I mentioned making. I have just finished a grey/grey striped pair as well, and have 2 more sitting at the machine, LOL, that's what happens when people sell socks for $0.99 when I'm on the hunt! :o

Thanks for the well wishes re my sister girls. Im hoping whatever the problem is that its only minor and easy to manage.
This was her 3rd miscarriage in less than 2 years and 2 of the 3 were twins. In a way i hope that the reason for them is because twins are high risk and sometimes dont "stick" as well.
Gin - WOW!! Those babylegs leg warmers are gorgeous!! Are they just made from big adult socks?? You are a very creative and talented woman!
Amity woke about 1 hour ago screaming out "NO! NO! NO!" and when i went in to console her she was sitting in the corner of her bed near the wall. She wouldnt let me hug her or go anywhere near her and she just kept crying and screaming out. She was also thrashing about and trying to get away from me and trying to hurt me. I carried her out to the study where it was light to try and wake her up but she just kept going... her eyes were open but were glassy and she looked absolutely terrified! I finally managed to get her to calm down after about 40 mins and she is now asleep with her head on my lap. She refused to go back to bed and got really scared and started t o cry again when i mentioned it...Im thinking that maybe she is having night terrors. Have any of you had them before of know of anyone that has?? It might explain why she is soo tired all the time and why she wakes so often with screams.
Lana your poor sis, that must be heartbreaking.
and poor Amity!! i don't know anything about night terrors sorry, hope you can find out. it must have been really worrying for you too :hugs:
Gin great babylegs! i bought two pairs of knee-high socks for $2 each. the 1st pair were girly so i used them for a tester, i tried using fold-over elastic and stuffed it right up so i will sew casings for the elastic instead... one of these days...
well i am bored but not all that tired. a cruddy movie is on. just surfing the net but my arms are getting sore so i really should stop it.
bummer about the eagles, hey perthies?

:hair: OMG why wont he just go to sleep????
Sorry ladies - I have been trying since 11:41 to get this little guy to go to sleep.
Matthew is going thru an awful stage of not settling. This is the 3rd night of hardly any sleep. I now refuse to pick him up as each time I put him down he would start screaming. I went to the doc this morning to make sure nothing is wrong with him (eg ear infection etc) but he couldn't find anything - said he looked great. :( Now I am trying the whole controlled crying thing.... if I go in he will settle then as soon as I leave he starts screaming again. DH is away and this is driving me insane!!!! Even when he does eventually fall asleep it only lasts for 40mins ot an hour max. Day or Night, although the nights seem harder to handle. !!!!
Ok - better go back in to try settle again.....
Have just skimmed the posts as not been on for a while..... Sorry for the me post :crying:
Lana - sorry to hear about your sister. Must be so heartbreaking. I am not aware of actually miscarrying - but i had alot of trouble falling pregnant. I had a laporoscopy to check out everything - and it appeared fine (complications afterward, ruptured my muscle and took 3 months to reouperate - but that is a fluke problem)... Then, we went to talk about other options and then SURPRISE - pregus in 6 weeks... So, i hope your sister has luck like i did.
RE: Amity. When i was young - i suffered terribly with nightmare/tremors. Back then, there wasn't as much info on such things - but mine were terrible. Couldn't really remember alot of it - and I still to this day do wierd things. I have slept walked a little bit (more as a child) and I would have a glassy look on my face. Always try to not frighten her if you think she is still asleep - what you did was exactly right. It is best, if sleep walking to just gently encourage them back to bed - if they wake, they get a fright. When i've done this as an adult or oler teenager - it would scare me out of my mind, as I didn't know why or how I got to where I was. I still have moments of doing wierd things to DP - often I think the bed is caving in and I tell him to get out of the bed and I wake him up worried about Ellery. For months (haven't done this for a few weeks) I must have been dreaming and thought E was in the bed. I would jump up - rip the covers off as I thought she had rolled down to the bottom and suffocating. This went on - sometimes each night of the week. We laugh about it, and I don't know why it happens. I hope you're able to get more answers regarding Amity, as it does usually mean she isn't getting her proper sleep.
Sharon - sorry you're having some trouble with Matthew's sleeping. Especially hard when on your own. I hope you're able to work out if something is troubling him. I don't know what I would do either... Hope you're able to catch up on some ZZZ's too. You must be worn out!
Gin - love the babylegs... Very clever. They look great....
Sometimes the days get a bit long - but I am use to it. Have been getting up at 5.30am or earlier for years (apart from when preg - then i'd get through to 6-6.30am) I think it is just the body clock. Some days are shocking and i am watching the clock for DP to get home - but as I am use to it, I seem to be able to get through most of the time.
Ellery didn't settle as quickly last night - but she was still pretty good. We are having trouble with her wraps and also, with the warmer weather coming fast - they get too hot for her... I think she's in there playing right now, but i leave her in the morning until after 6am - don't pick her up straight away... Her legs were a little warm where the needles went - but she has continued to be fine, which is a relief. not sure what we're doing today - nothing major planned.
I am going to pick up DP's glasses - so that'll fill in the morning a bit i suppose.
Chat later ladies.. have a good weekend.
Had a spare moment so uploaded some pics of Miss Ellery during her usual day! Hope they work alright.....

Emma and lana.. horrible situatons for both your sisters.
Gin. super baby legs! Kes is so cute and he can actually fit in his bumbo. Toadlet grew out of his the day I bought it. It's now in the garage waiting for his little brother/siste "Baby Bzzz".
Sharon, with Matthew, if he's not sleeping if you settle him or if you leave him, wy dont you just go to bed and have some sleep yourself. if he's going to cry there isn't much you can do. He might learn soon enough that mummy isn't going to come running when he wants and just go back to sleep. (I'm such a hard mummy).
Having fun with my Dad. I left Monty with him on Thursday, the first time I've left him with anyone other than DP. I guess I didn't have to worry as my dad is a doctor, so if he dropped onty on his head he could fix it up. They had heaps of fun togeter and Dad wore him out!
I'm now trying to cut out his early morning nap so he only has 3 sleeps in the day and not 4. He was awake for 2hours 30 just then. Quite a long time for a rodent.
Guess what!! I won 2 Gucci watches worth $2500!!!
I stuck my business card in the Bank West bowl at the conference I went to and it was drawn out. Luckily someone new me and called to let me know I had to come collect it or they would have given it to someone else.
They are actualy quite ugly watches so I'm going to take them into one of the branches of the store it was brought from and ask if I can exchange them. Neither Frog or I have a watch.
better clean up now the toadlet is asleep.

Bad news, my poor sister has miscarried again. She cant seem to get past 7 weeks.
Gosh Lana Big hugs to your sis, I know how she feels to some extent. I had a miscarriage last January (06) I was 13 weeks, It was absolutely heartbreaking, probably the worst experience of my life :crying: I can't imagine how she must feel to have had 3 miscarriages omg and 2 being twins. I really hope the specialist can find out the reason why and find a solution.
Night terrors ahhhh how scary for you both. My nephew had them when he was younger til about 14, he used to always end up his mum's bed. The weird thing is they seemed to start around the time his parents got divorced??? It makes me wonder if they it might be related..Has Amity had any sort of trauma or bad experience lately (u don't have to answer on here it's just something to think about)
GIN love the cute baby legs, clever girl!! I was at target yesterday and found some cute legs socky things, they were even marked down from $4.99 to $2.15 bargin. If I don't use them for legs I will make some alterations and turn them into knee cover thingys for crawling...
Hope you ended up having a great day yesterday for your birthday!!!
:hair: OMG why wont he just go to sleep????
SHARON how did your night go? did Matthew end up getting some sleep and you tooooo? Keep perservering with the cc, they say it may take a few nights to work. It's hard when you don't know why they are unsettled and have tried everything and nothing works....Hope you get through this - sending you good vibes :babydust2:
MEL i was actually going to ask everyone if they still wrap bubs, I see that you do...I stopped last week but am finding that he has his arms out everywhere and squirms around much more but I suppose with the warmer weather quickly coming up on us, its probably I good idea to do it, I suppose......
HOLLIE congrats again on winning the watches wooohooo you lucky girl!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ok gtg, going to a hand & foot massage party this arvo (with no kiddies) hehe. :smiliedance:
Ryan&MatthewsMum

Thanks Mel. It is slowly wearing me down thats for sure.
Hollie - you are probably right but I find it just so hard to go to sleep when I know he is screaming his lungs out! Maybe I need to do your trick and put some soundproofing on the door? BTW Congrats on the watches - great score. Also re the bumbo - it sounds like there is a good chance of a sibling for rodent... yay!
Kel, thanks for the vibes. Enjoy your thingo this arvo - hand and foot massage, divine! How is NOah going? Thanks for the link on the bronchiolitis, I think my doc was worried matty had that which is why he referred us to a paediatrician. Couldn't get in until Oct 12 so I will have plenty to ask him then when we go see him.
Matthew took until 2:30 but finally fell asleep. He then woke twice more (I think, maybe it was 3.. i lose track how often I get up) before waking at 7am happy.
I put him back down at 8:20 for his morning nap and he barely protested before putting himself to sleep until 10. Not bad heh! He's now been fed, tried some apple&blackcurrent gel (didn't think much of that) and sitting in his highchair watching some singing dvd with Ryan and I can hear him having a whale of a time. Cross fingers I can stick out the tough mumma role and keep it going.
Emma - your poor sis. Hope shes okay.
Lana - night terrors: my niece (now 4) used to get these and sometimes still does. Usually there was something triggering it although finding out what was the trick. At one stage it was the kitchen clock that she could see through her door - apparently it was coming to get her when she slept. Moved the clock and the terrors went away, at least for a little while. Also sending thoughts for your sis. Must be so hard for her.
Well Ryan is now taking Matthew for a ride in the highchair around the house. Matt just loves it and Ryan mucks about like a loon and Matty laughs and laughs.
Best thing about the second kid - the first is there for entertainment! Worst thing about second kid - you can't sleep when they do coz the first is there.
Long post sorry but I'll keep going while kids are happy...
Gin - love the baby legs and OMG - is that an old ELNA sewing machine in the background?
How DH & I Met: DH was actually my brother's best friend in high school. They were in the year above me. When I was in grade 10 I had a major crush on him but he just didn't seem to notice so I got over it... then he noticed me and asked me to his Year 12 formal. We've been together ever since. It was a little difficult with my brother for a while but we are all great friends now.
Well Matthew is now asleep - another successful put down. Hope its a big one!
AD - hope you are feeling better soon!
I've probably missed heaps of personals and sorry for the long post but thanks for your support with Matthew's settling.
Cheers all,
Sharon.

Kel - Re the night terrors, nup Amity hasnt had any trauma or anything... makes me worry though
Sharon - Hmm hearing what you said about your niece and the clock makes me think if maybe the red light from her stereo is causing them...
You poor thing, i hope Matty sleeps better for you tonight!
Hollie - Woohoo!! Lucky ting winning the watches! For that price you should be able to exchange them for some really nice ones for you and Frog
Mel - Thanks hun, i hope my sister gets your luck as well. She is taking it really hard and blaming herself.
I love the pic of Ellery with the pumpkin around her face. Hehehe its v. cute!
Im off to the shops today so i had better get my bum into gear! Ciao xox

great pics of Ellery mel.
Sharon.. do you want me to get Frog to tell you where we got the soundproofing?? I wasn't happy when he got it at first but it makes a huge difference when toadlet is having a turdlet wail and I need to work or de stress.
Plus it stops the washing machine noice going into his room too.
We went for a walk into the city and looked at other watches. The perth store said we could exchange them.
This is the one I got, a dior watch (http://ec1.images-amazon.com/images/I/41X661APW5L.jpg) and not sure what brand Frog got.
They were $2700 but let us have them for $2500 which is great.
Just saw on another web site it comes with a black strap as well as the CD bracelet chain.
We walked back home from the rocks all along the Operah house, and lady McQuaries chair, took over an hour but it is lovely and sunny today too.
Toadlet was really well behaved, he was laughing at the seaguls when we were sitting on the grass.

Lana: Sorry to hear about your sister & the 3 miscarriages. I had 2 miscarriages before I had Ta-leah. I had 1 miscarriage at 8-9wks & the 2nd one at 5-6wks preg. I know it is hard not to blame yourself & think what you could have done differently to have prevented them as I too had these feelings. If you don't mind me asking does she work? & what kind of work?
I was quite stressed at work When I fell pregnant the 2 times I miscarried. Also I feel that the job as a vet Nurse may have contributed to the miscarriages a well as I was doing X-rays & assisting in surgery with anaesthetic gases etc. Before I fell preg with Ta-leah I had quit work one month previously and I had no probs with her. So I hope it all works out well for your sis. I also had surgery to remove 2 X 5cm diam ovarian cysts in Feb then fell preg with Ta-leah in late May.
I hope they can find the cause of her heartbreaking probs. Do twins run on your side of the family or her DH?

Wow everyone has been chatting lots, since I last checked. I am sorry to hear that a few baby's have been sick. happybirthday Gin. I read so much looking back through everyones posts that my brain has gone all foggy now, & I am having a memory lapse of what you all wrote. So I won't do individual posts as I can't remember who said what. I'm so sorry!!!
I'm still in Perth until probably next Weds catching up on all the appoints I never get to make. Having a family lunch with some relatives on Sunday, Then Monday booked in for a facial & Tuesday the dentist. Weds I caught up with My Grandma & Thurs Me, Ta-leah, my mum & her mum all went shopping to Big W as Ta-leah's Great grandma wanted to buy a few things. So we all spoilt Ta-leah buying her some outfits. She got skirts & tops, dresses & shorts etc for summer. Check out the photos of her modelling her new outfits at the link under my signature. We kept changing her lots of times into all the clothes & had her posing on lounge, bed etc. & she loved it & was laughing away, not minding at all.

If you don't mind me asking does she work? & what kind of work?
I hope they can find the cause of her heartbreaking probs. Do twins run on your side of the family or her DH?
MY Sister is a Horticulturalist so she is working with soils and plants all day long. I told her to make sure she wear gloves when working because the fertilisers and stuff they use can get into any cuts she has.
Twins run on my side of the family.. there are HEAPS of them lol. I was always worried that i would end up with twins.
Hollie - Ooh i like your new watch. I think i like it with the bracelet chain better.
Tennille - I hope you are having a good time up in Perth. Too bad the weather is so crappy hey!
Sarah - Woohoo! Gotta love tax returns! You will feel like a new woman when you are in your own little place.
Hollie - YEEHA for the prize - not a bad thing to win hey... Hope you find something you like better, I like the one with the chain though (is that the one you won, or the one you like?)
Glad you were able to have a nice walk around the sights of sydney... Was a warm day here to. A few storms around and a bit of lightening her tonight, but don't think it'll eventuate to anything. It was pretty steamy though.
Sarah - great about the tax return, wish mine would be around that - but i doubt it. That's something i have to organise - an appointment with the accountant. Will write it on the list to do next week.
Tenille - sounds like you are having a great time in perth. Good On You - and some MUMMY time too. I lurve facials.... hope you have a good time with your family tomorrow.
R&Ms MUM - Well, i certainly hope you have a better night tonight with M.... Sounds like the day was ok.... You would be completely worn out..... Wish there was something more than words at times we could do on here - but hope our chatter helps you a little bit.... You take care now.
Kellie - yeah, I still have to wrap ellery - her arms are just out of control at times and she pulls her dummy out then cries...:banghead: As its warmer - I now fold a really thin cotton rug into a diamond, put it under her back, then over her arms - and under back (does that make sense)... She just gets too hot with the actual wraps - and also, they've all lost their stickiness (which is annoying) and she gets out of them. She is still a wrap baby and i was hoping she'd be out of it for summer - but not yet. Nearly there. Just keep trying i guess.
We had a pretty good day. Went out about 9am (after a mini-sleep) to pick up DP's glasses, then went to Nappy Palace and got wipes and nappy bags etc... It's alot cheaper - but I have to be in the mood to drive there... so, I stocked up big time. It got really warm around lunchtime - and i was starving - so went for a walk (about 2 km) and got some yummy lunch. Then home, fed E - she had a sleep (about 1 hour) after lunch, then it was play, shower, bottle - bed... YEAH. She is now happily asleep in her bed.
DP cleaned up the spare rooms (good man) he worked all day the poor thing. Had to move the bigpond cable also (in the roof) so he was rather hot and dirty after that... Looks and feels great though.
Well, off for dinner now....

Well done Sarah on your tax... fantastic way to spend it too. What suburb /area are you loking at?
Beany pm'd me thanks, I'll get her to drop it off to the QVB concierge and go pick them up.
I'm pretty sure I'm going to owe $6k this year as my income was more than the quaterly paments from last year. Plus extra cause I dont have private health care, plus about $4k of hecs left too...
Frog is going diving tonight, toadlet has had a wonderfully behaved day hardly any sleep either and lots to eat tonight. perfect ingredients (greedy ants) for a long toadlet sleep.
Also I'll have the bed to myself and I plan to be in it by 8pm.
Frog, Grandpa Toad and I put $50 in each for the $25 mil lotto tonight. Is it greedy to want to win two prizes in one week?
Frog took more pictures today and I absolutely love this one (http://www.flickr.com/photos/7918637@N06/1385795704/)

Ohhh so you were lucky that you didn't have twins then. Not saying that twins are a bad thing though, just alot more work.
You shouldn't inhale alot of the soils & fertiliers either but I'm sure your sister knows that already. I'm sure she will go on to have a happy healthy family just like all of us.
:rain:The weather has turned pretty horrible here in Perth but no different to what it would be like at home. I got all of the shopping done i needed to in the first couple of days the car got serviced today. So just a few appoints over the next couple of days.
I brought one of those mesh dummies & Ta-leah loves banana in it. She loves all fruit & veges. I'm lucky there isn't anything she doesn't like yet. If she spits it out I shove it back in she trys it again then decides it isn't too bad & eats it all. Very rarely does she not finish whats in her bowl.
I also got a nice tax return well DH did, but I'm doing a good job of spending it in Perth. I Love shopping!!!:smiliedance:

MEL: Yes I'm having a great day. I'm going to enjoy the facial. I also have a pedicure voucher both at Ella Bache I am saving the pedicure one until summer, then I can have nice painted toes for summer etc. Yes Mummy time is good. I like coming to Perth every now & then as it gives me a chance to have a break & Mum & Dad enjoy having the chance to babysit. Plus I get spoilt & so does Ta-leah. Plus I don't have to cook either so no complaints here.:smiliedance: :yelclap:

I can feel for you, as I'm a bit bored at the moment too. Ta-leah & her pop are watching the footy. As she just loves watching the football. I & my dad were playing with Ta-leah a minut ago & she was giggling so much & blowing raspberries, saying dad dad & bub too I think.
I checked out Monty's photo's too & they are so good. I have to take hundereds of photos just to fluke 1 good one. He looks so cute & innocent in the photo Frog took.
I don't wrap Ta-leah she stopped that as soon as she was out of the bassinet & into the cot at about 2-3mths. I just tuck her in once she falls asleep & she stays there. If she takes her dummy out she works out where it is & can put it back in herself. Her dummy is one her favourite toys.

Hello everyone
Hope eveyone had a great day today! I enjoyed my afternoon at the hand & foot massage party, it was for Mary Kay products. The products are just devine, so smmmoooth were my hand and feet after. I ordered $100 worth of creams and a gorgeous lipgloss, naughty naughty, oh well my little treat!!!
DH and Elijah are going to the movies to see Surf's up tomorrow and Noah and I are going to the Natural Baby Expo (dh not keen on going) and then we are going to meet up at Southbank for lunch...Looking foward to it!
Noah is getting better today not nearly as much coughing, the other day he was coughing about every 5 mins, poor little possum. Looking foward to having my healthy little man back.
ok gtg, have to pay some attention to Hubby lol :D ;)

Hollie you look a lot like your dad! and what a score with the watches. sell them on ebay  j
Kel hope the expo is good, i have heard about it on mcn threads. i love the 'aromababy' products too. all YOUR products sound great! i love having nice creams etc but i am slack and hardly use them!
Sarah thats great news about the flat! bet you can't wait...
Sharon hope you get some sleep. i swear they save their worst times for when Daddy is away!!
my grouchy-pants is grizzling on the sofa next to me but he's easy to distract with toys short-term. he's HOPEFULLY going to bed soon...
Hollie-you look so much like your Dad in his 'younger' photos! He is quite the handsome man, you must be very proud showing him off around town :D
I love that cheeky shot of Monty, he has such cute features! Very nice score on the watches, did Frog end up minding Monty? Great that you could go.
Howdy Sharon! I hope Matthew has settled quickly for you so you can get a good sleep in tonight! Gave me a laugh what you said about your Dad's pic, I totally expected a 70's blonde on his arm...:p
LL-your Dad looks like a bit of a hippy hey? Gorgeous eyes!
Sarah, fantastic news about the tax, and the apartment plan! There are some lovely parts to St George, and awesome parks!
Speaking of photos, I'm a bit sad tonight. We store Kestrel's millions of photos in various spots, and just recently got an external hard drive to protect from anything that might happen to our computers, but also to be self powered so we could access from any of the computers. Well, in the storm on my birthday we had a power surge and it blew up! We had a fancy surge protector and all. *sigh* DH did a back up a while ago so that is fantastic (we still have the tiny baby photos), but sad to lose any, and the sweet little videos I made of him just gazing at me and smiling :crying:
Not to worry, he's still here, and still cute! LOL
Had a lovely 2nd birthday dinner tonight, salt and pepper squid, scallops, and prawns... served in a lettuce cup with tartare sauce, and the prawns hanging around the rim of the lettuce! Very impressive, he's a pretty awesome chef when he gets the time!
Sorry I've missed a few, been skimming!

Gin - I havent backed any of my pics up for well over a year!!After reading that though, I think im going to do it tomorrow. Lucky you having 2 birthday dinners!
Hollie - Wowee! Your dad sure was a looker! (you can still see it now) Monty looks so cheeky in that pic, love it.
Michaela - Your dads eyes are beautiful! especially against his dark, dark hair!
Here is a pic of my Mum on her wedding day (http://i102.photobucket.com/albums/m111/Amitys_mum/scan0002.jpg) (so back in 1979)
and here is one of my Mum and Dad together (http://i102.photobucket.com/albums/m111/Amitys_mum/scan0001.jpg) at their reception
Sounds like everyone had a good saturday.... DP spent the day tidying the family room and moving bigpond etc.. poor thing, it was really hot and it took all - so the computer is now in the smaller study, but fits in fine... all neat and tidy... Ellery went down fine last night - thankfully. She's been a really good girl lately - which is great. The first 5 months were pretty hard going with reflux etc... but things are coming together now. She can amuse herself a bit which is a big thing.
Hollie - your dads a looker hey! And younger - well, MMMMM.... You look alot like your dad too. The photos of Monty are just fantastic. Obviously DH can do a bit of photography - not like us in this household.. ha ha.. very plain and quick.... Hold the camera and shoot - but we do have the professionals of when she was younger and they're great...
LibLaska- your dad has the real 'hippy' look but super dreamy eyes too. Not bad at all in the hey day!!!
Lana - how lovely does your mum look on her wedding day!
My mum and dad had the big wedding thing too. I'll have to scan in some pics and show you all.... My Dad passed away when i was young (near 10 yrs old) of a massive h'attack.. It is wierd to think hes been gone for over 24 years. I can't think of 1 day that has passed that i don't think of him. He was a kind, quiet man. He was 16 years older than my mum and would be 74 now. Some of DP's mannerisms and his quiet nature remind me of my Dad alot (and he reminds my mum of him in ways too). I think it is also due to him having dark hair, and not alot of it (neither did my dad.. ha ha) So it has been mum, me and my sister for many years - and we're REALLY close... Mum did a good job with us two girls and now (although tedious at times) we try and do as much for mum as we can....
It is a little sad for Ellery, as she doesn't have a grandad. Bry's Father passed away about 2 years ago also - but there are plenty of uncles and alike around, so they're always keen to take part which is nice.
Gin - sorry to hear you've lost some of your photos... I have backed up the earlier ones, but not the last 2-3 months... I should get onto that as I am always concerned that the computer will blow up....
Sharon - hope Matthew settled better for you last night.... Nights would be terribly looooong. Hope it was a better one for you.
We got a storm here around 12.30am this morning. Some major thunder but only about 4 - then it rained really heavy and that was it... E woke up, but thankfully went back to sleep.

How funky.
My Dad has never even had a stubble so forget the beard!
Bluegin. You may be able to try a data recovery place to retrieve your pics, or did the whole thing melt or something?
I'm backing up my pics now. I guess one good thing about putting them online is they are always safe.
You could go through your email sent folder and save abny from there that you may have sent people too.
Thanks for all the compliments on my Daddy, I'm sure it will make him feel very good. Not bad for a 63 yr old.
Glad you think I look like him. I am a mixture of both my mum and Dad, there are some pics where I look exactly like my mother , expressions and colourings.
lana, your mum is very pretty, she got married in a totally different era to mine, I'll have to find the one of my mm and dads wedding.
Also i have one scanned in of Adrians Mum and Dad.. his dad was HOT!!! A dark haired version of Frog.
Almost identical, so Im not surprised toadlet came out looking like him. (although I was surprised).
Sharon, How did Matthew sleep last night?
Tired toadlet did 11 hours.
He likes sitting in the high chair when I am at the computer.
Oh.. since we are doing photos, we should dig out pics of us when we were babies and little.
I've got heaps the Goose gave me.
Going to read stories to toadlet.- need to buy more Mr Men books.

ok girls need some help
i have decided to search for a flat close to work (within walking distance as this will be easier for me when i start back)
Its a bit pricey where i need to live so I cant afford much
I have two options I can get a two bedder unit with no security and a shared laundry
OR for the same price I can get a one bedder unit in a security building, modern with internal laundry
I would feel safer in a security unit but dont know how it would work with only one bedroom
I could get one of those double beds and bunk thingys and use the cot also BUT how would we go in a one bedder???
any advice much appreciated:thumbsup:

I know the smart thing would be to stay at mums till christmas and save more money and then move once Ive started back at work
BUT to be honest Im not coping well with her and either is O
A friend of mine was going to let us house sit her flat but she has three indoor cats and the kids (and i) wouldnt go well with them (allergies) so I had to say no thankyou...it would have been perfect otherwise

Hi everyone
happybirthday Happy 6 mths to Ella & Madison for yesterday! Can't believe how fast it has flown by!
Haven't had a chance to read the several pages of posts but thought I'd check in & let u know how we are.
My wrist is still REALLY sore. I bought a support thing with a metal splint in it but it's so hot to wear. It makes a huge difference though.
On Friday Ella had her first swimming lesson. She absolutely loved it & the water was perfect. Her instructor asked if she'd been swimming before as she was so confidant but no she hasn't. I am glad she liked it anyway. She kept trying to put her own face under when on her belly even though she wasnt going to do that as only her first lesson lol.
She had her 6mth needles that arvo. Because she reacted so badly last time I gave her 1/2 ml of panadol beforehand then put 1ml in her bottle for afterwards & it was much better!
The chemist gave us childrens panadol instead of baby the other day when dh bought it because they had none left but he said just give her 1/2 a ml, following the weight chart thing. Do you think this is ok? Haven't given her any yet.
Yesterday I went to the Natural Baby Expo & bought 2 gorgeous nappies (frangipani one & a classic Pooh one) and a wool soaker which is white/cream with red around tummy & legs and red cherries or strawberries on the bum! So cute. And some stuff for lanolising. Also bought 2 pack of these massive bibs. I entered a comp at nearly every stand so let's hope I win something! :fingerscrossed:
We are at mum's waiting to go to a friend's 21st bbq lunch which started at 12pm but Ella hadn't slept all morning & only fell asleep just before 12 so waiting on her to wake up.
I don't have internet at home at the moment as I didn't top it up because I spend too much time on there & it is really effecting my hand so I thought I'd remove the temptation!
Next time I'll be on is prob Thurs or Friday.
Hope everyone has a good weekend (what's left of it!) & a great week.
PS Target are having a great sale! I got a skirt that was about $20 off, a top which was $3 off and a pair of long denim shorts which were like $15 off (& I got into trouble as we are so broke it's not funny). But if ya need clothes ... ;)

Well done Ella! Does she have a dream feed at all?
HOORAY!!! Secret Santa!! I coudn't be happier with my recipient. I got who I wanted!!!
Well done Sam and Lana.
Lana - just pm'd you. Love to take part....
Hope everyone had a good weekend. Ours was pretty good. Went for a walk along the seaway this morning and had breakfast there. It's lovely to walk out and look back at surfers paradise. Will post some pics when organised. Then we had to do the groceries (boring) but E needed a bottle, so i sat and did that and DP went and did the shopping (good man!)... So it wasn't too hard. Then I was super industrious and made up a whole lot of puree for Ellery.
Did mixture of pear and apple, and then pot/pumpkin and also did up some puree of zucchini and carrot.. She hasn't tried that yet - so will let you know if she spits it back or not.
When we got home, I was lazy and it was rather hot, so i chopped up some apple and put a slice of mandarin in the her net/sucker thing. I assumed she would spit it back at me (as mandarin can be tart and sour) but NOPE - she loved it.... What a laugh.....
Then we had a lie down, but tonight E's been a bit out of sorts. Her teeth are bothering her again. No sign of them poking through either. Poor little Poppet - she gets so over it all. Hope she sleeps ok during the night.
Carrie - sorry to hear that your wrist is still bothering you. I got one of those exact wrist things - and it helped me heaps. It is hot, but I put up with it as the relief was worth it. Can get in the way at times, but I guess it is there to stop you from using it in ways that make it hurt.... Hope it continues to help you out.
Glad Ella enjoyed swimming lessons. E has started to dislike water going on her face in the shower.... We don't stop wetting it though, don't want her to be scared.
I have the electrician coming early in the morning to fix our electronic gate. Not sure how long he'll be here for, but we know him quite well - so i don't need to hang around if I get cabin fever....
Chat to you all in the morning. Getting organised to bed soon. have a bit of washing to fold and tidy up before snooze time.

Hey all,
Hade a great day today! Went to the Natural Baby expo today...I went especially to see the cheeky butts stall but she couldn't make it so I searched around for some other Mcn sellers and manage to find a couple, bubblebubs, sunshine tots and swaddlebees. So I bought 2
bb's and 1 each of the other two. All AIO's. There's so much to learn about all the diff sorts so I asked lots of question and I pretty much got their web addresses so I can have a look at home.....
here's the bubblebubs ones (http://s239.photobucket.com/albums/ff84/Kellie_77/?action=view¤t=MCNS024.jpg)
these are the sunshine tots and the swaddlebees (plain blue one) (http://s239.photobucket.com/albums/ff84/Kellie_77/?action=view¤t=MCNS025.jpg)
Noah trying swaddlebees on (http://s239.photobucket.com/albums/ff84/Kellie_77/?action=view¤t=MCNS026.jpg)
Is this a good start??? They are all for day, next I will look at night time ones.
SECRET SANTA OH YEHHHHH! :smiliedance:
Kel great nappies! i have a bubblebubs and a swaddlebees. i've actually heard some not-great reviews of the cb ones so might be a good thing you missed them hehe. which stores had stands? i am looking at doing demos, then i could :ecomcity: about mcns and get paid for it!
Carrie omg, i couldnt live without my net! i know what you mean about the temptation tho, my arms are killing but i can't resist...
all you mummies with good sleepers make me so jealous lol. Harper woke 3x last night and he really cried. usually he just wakes twice - quick feed then back to sleep. but today i found a little hard white bit breaking thru his top gum! so no wonder he's been crying, my poor bubba.
OMG i am watching a doc about elephants reproduction and this guy was just getting sperm from an elephant!!! EWWWWWWWW
oh! now they are inseminating the female, its 1.5 metres in. they just said "not for the faint-hearted"   you reckon??!!
on that lovely note... night ladies
Thanks LL :barf: LOL
Poor Harper, I hope the rest of the tooth just follows quickly and doesn't give him grief. Kes was up early wanting to play this morning (way too early!) and by the time I finally gave in a went to dress, he screamed when I started to put a top on. Apparently he only wanted a feed once he saw the milkbar disapearing! He then had a nice sleep though so that was handy.
Great to hear the buzz about secret santa, I am so looking forward to Christmas this year!!!
Still haven't caught up properly yet, just got home from my parents house but did skim...
Hollie-there was a suspiciously smokey smell coming out of the drive and we're getting nowhere with it putting it in to a tower so  We could get pro data recovery but it seems $1000 is a pretty standard rate! eek! I had a chuckle picturing Monty being grown out of his Bumbo the first day sorry, lucky his little sis/bro can use it too though! I have to very carefully squish my boy in to his, hehe, poor kid! I also think I need to ge special fat-lady socks for his babylegs... they're a tad tight!
Kellie-I don't know much about MCN, but those ones sure are cute! Noah looks so cute and happy in that one!
Mel-very busy weekend for you, I bet you'll sleep well, LOL. Great idea getting ahead with the babyfood.
I am even more in awe of Gemma's cooking skills now I've got a baby, can't believe how she can get all their food prepped in advance like she does, with three kids, and a business!
Sarah-did you already have a planned gift for your SS in the hope you got them? I kind of did, had plans for a few of the bubs, and luckily got one of them! yay! How about you Hollie?
I keep changing my mind though, LOL, too many options!!!
With the SS, I tabled the idea tonight at dinner of us doing that for Christmas now that there is a baby in the family, and we've all got mortgages... and my bro agreed! Still got another to convince, but should be good!
Going to concentrate on the Grand Prix now, night all!
XG
Gin - love the baby legs and OMG - is that an old ELNA sewing machine in the background?
It's an old school Singer machine! Once when my Grandma had hers in for repair my Grandpa felt bad for her so he went and bought it for a 'spare'! Such a sweet man. Anyhoo, she hardly used it so sent it to me!
Before I forget; Hollie, I'll hunt up a baby photo or two of me (there aren't many, our house burned down when I was little so we lost most of them, poor Mum and Dad were devastated!) and scan it, I wonder if I look like Kes..?

Ok... here are two pics of me when i was little (they are on the same page) The first is of me when i was about 1 year old (im the one with the blue eyes and coloured clothes) and the second is of me at Kindy, so when i was 4 years old http://i102.photobucket.com/albums/m111/Amitys_mum/scan0008.jpg
Gin - Im the same as you re the Secret Santa thing, too many ideas lol!
Kel - Love the mcn's... Noah looks very cute in it
Michaela - Ok, that is disgusting :barf:
Yay for Harper cutting his first tooth! Poor little thing, no wonder he was cranky, and its on the top too!
Well Griff just spewed all over himself. I think he may be coming down with what Amity had last week :( He has been extremely unsettled all day with a very slight temp. And it doesnt help that Amity comes up to us and coughs right in our faces (not on purpose though). She is usually really good at covering her mouth.
I have a really sore throat as well so :fingerscrossed: it doesnt eventuate into something nasty.
I have to sit up and wait until his other sleeping bag is dry now though because his other one is covered in vomit. Do you think i can put a brand new one on him that i havent washed yet??
Morning all. Up usual time today... Electrician arriving early to do the front gate. Hope it works alright. Weather seems ok - so rain shouldn't be a problem thankfully.
Ellery is in her cot playing at the moment. I think she wakes with the sun... Her room is quite dark - but that is when she seems to wake.... She slept right through last night which was nice. Took her a while to settle - teeth bothering her.... See how she is this morning..... But slept nearly 12 hours..
My Aunt (who isn't much older than my sister and I) her son (Jordan) broke and fractured his ankle playing AFL on saturday badly. Poor thing - he has to see an orthopeadeic surgeon! He is nearly 14 years old and really upset because he just starting playing AFL instead of rugby... I am waiting to see what is happening - if he needs surgery or not, then Ellery and I will take a trip up to see him and my Aunt. We're quite close and Jordan and his brother just adore Ellery (bit different to most young boys!).... So, hope the poor little man is ok and it isn't too bad. I think the weekend was looong and painful for him. They initially gave him morphine!!! So, couldn't have been too pleasant. Although he is officially my cousin - the difference in age means he calls me Aunty.... Rather cute. My sis and I didn't ask him too - i think he just found it easier when younger to do so.
Well, E is calling for bottle. Chat later. Have a good one everyone.

Good Morning all
Not much planned for today, Elijah's is off to preschool and I am going in for a weigh in today ahhhh wish me luck, of course luck has nothing to do with it - its what I stick in my gob LOL. Well this morning is the first time Noah has ben grouchy while being sick for the last week or so, he woke up upset and was rubbing his feet against each other like he was in pain???? I checked his gums and he nearly norred (sp) my finger off.lol. He is also a bit of a boogie machine today ewwwwhh, having trouble swallowing his milk which is no good.
Secret Santa - how exciting!!!! I love buying presnts more than receiving (these days I always know what i'm getting from DH cause I pick or buy it)hehe
Carrie - Hey great score on the nappies at the expo, sounds like there might have been more variety on the first day. Shame we didn't go on the same day.....
Sarah - regarding the unit I would say hold off if you can til you find something safe and suitable. You don't wont to move in to the 1 bedder and regret it cause it's too small especially if you need your own space for a bit iykwim.....
CONGRATS for all the bubs sleeping through, such long hours. Not to forget the bubs who are just ABOUT to start sleeping through for their sleepy mummies.
All these old photos are great!!! I'm inspired to go through the old albums (fun) I think I have an older scanner up in the roof from our old desk top that died. I wonder if it will connect up the laptop? anyone know?? You wait til you see my dad, you will have a laugh :D
Michaela - How's Harpers teeth nope sorry tooth hehe? Is he still a bit grizzely? Sounds like you had an interesting evening with the elephants ewwwwwhhh
Gin - gotta luv those old sewing machines!! mum had an antique type singer one. It used to sit on a wrought iron/wooden table thing and it would pop up through the table. You would have to make it go by pushing a long lever with the side of your knee/thigh..weird hey.. but it was the best little machine...Loved it!!!
Lana - Hope little Griffin doesn't get sick hey especially since you know what he's in for being Amity had it last week...:fingerscrossed: :fingerscrossed: That's gross about the vomit, I hate the thought of vomit but when it happens I just go into this auto pilot mode and just do it yuuccckkk!!!speaking more about Elijah's chuck ups...cause obviously they are bigger and grosser and stinkier and chunkier LOLOLOL
Mel - sorry to hear about your cousin/nephew, ouchhhh, such a shame since he has just started to play AFL hey...hope it doesn't effect whether he can play or not in the long term.
gtg go - to much gasbagging not enough getting ready hehe Im yet to post how DH and I met, thats still to come, just waiting til I have enough time and bl##dy remember to type it lol

Ohh I have been feeling terrible today as AF returned for the first time since falling pregnant & having Ta-leah etc. I had to cancel my facial that I had planned for this morning as I was feeling so sick & in pain. I was shivering & cold. So I went back to bed at 9:30am until 11:30am after taking some panadeine & my Dad looked after Ta-leah. He took her for a walk in her pram & she fell asleep also.
I'm having another break now whilst my parents babysit. It sure is great to be able to get a break a bit this week in Perth, with my parents helping out.
Does anyone else suffer with really painful crampy periods & sore back etc. I often vomit & have diarrhoea due to the pain. (sorry TMI). Honestly for me the labour contrations were no where near as bad as what I go through every month with AF. So I sure didn't miss them for the 15mths they were gone.

awww forgot to mention I got one of those mesh things on sunday and iris tried it out today she started shaking with excitement when she tasted the apple LOL
thanks for that tip!
also the photo shoot went really well will get pics weds and show them off then
there was one hiccup though we had a family shot (as mikes back on night shift) so was in attendance
anyway while doing the family pic the photographer said ok cuddle guys and give each other a kiss
well mike went in for a cuddle and a pash
I pushed him off and rather loudly stated "Um we are seperated!!!"
Im fuming:banghead:
Sarah :banghead: MEN!!! way to wreck a family outing, huh? sorry you had to have that experience.
oh and i forgot to reply re the flats. if it was me and there were only those two options then i would take the 1 bedder, security is more important than a 2nd bedroom. i'm sure O would think camping in the lounge is fun. before my dad and stepmum got married, she was on night shift so my stepsis used to sleep in a DOORWAY at our house  we don't use the front door, she had it all set up with toys and pics on the wall... very cute and she loved it.
i think i need to get a mesh dummy thing! all the march bubs are loving them. do they make a lot of mess? Harps tried a milk arrowroot this arvo and now the toys on his walker are feral!

Weeks: 6 months and 3 days

Usual Night sleeps: 11-12 hours
Hope all are well. I started writing this reply about 4 hours ago. We put our house on the market only 3 days ago - and already had 1 person through today another booked for tomorrow. So have been rushing around like an idiot getting the place super clean. It wasn't too bad - but I wanted to clean the shower and the floors and tidy up bits and pieces... Thankfully Ellery went down about 6.45pm.... I haven't stopped... So, needless to say, I am rather tired. Haven't stopped cleaning, hanging out washing, folding, ironing, tidying.... AAAGGGGHHH all too much.
Lana - sorry to hear that Griff had a bad night and your throat doesn't sound too good either. Hope tonight's better for you both.
Kellie - sounds like Noah is having times like Ellery. She was super grouchy this morning - nothing i did made her happy. She was better this afternoon but she keeps making these funny faces - pushing her bottom jaw out. i think she is grinding her gums together cause they're sore.... Hope Noah is better soon.
Sorry if i missed heaps of stuff. Will be back on tomorrow.

OK well after that.....
 there everyone. Back from hols so havent caught up.
The kids did very well on the drive down. We left 1pm and arrived 10.30am the next day. Slept through the whole night. It was very hard on me and DH though and we caught up to my parents in their motorhome at 4am in the morning so me and the kids jumped in with them for an hour and a half while DH had a sleep in the car. On the way back we did a day trip and it was terrible. It took SOOOO long and we were forever stopping for nappy changes between the 2 kids. We stopped overnight this time as well as Jacey was too cranky come 5pm. By the time we got home they both hated getting put back into the carseats. So next time it will be night driving again (luckily though it wont be for another year).
Jacey did so well though, just played, slept, poohed and ate the whole time while in the car. Logan watched his DVDs and snacked all day on the food I had packed for him.
So Jacey started sleeping through the night while we were home (as in where we are from) - Gunnedah NSW. I think the cold weather helped with that but she has kept it up since being back I thing because I started her on 3 meals a day. We too have been using the mesh thing for a few weeks now. Her fav is frozen grapes! She is rolling everywhere but no crawling but starting to look like she may get up and start rocking soon.
My bestfriend had a baby boy while we were driving home and it was funny cause we always joked that that would happen and it did. So we drove straight into town and to the hospital!! He was 7lb 11 and gosh soooo tiny. I cant believe how fast they grow up. Hmmm I didnt get clucky surprisingly
OK well very busy here, unpacking etc so dont know if I can catch up on everything but I hope everyone is going well.
too cute... Harper's having bum-free time combined with tummy time and he has shuffled backwards about 1.5 metres. love his little white butt wiggling around. love him! Valentine
he tried carrot tonight, and liked it! the first vegie i havent had trouble getting him to eat. will be mixing carrot into all his veg now hehe. funny, i don't much like carrot myself lol!

Ok just a really quick one cos i still feel gross.
Sarah - Aaaghh :hair: How frustrating for you! I cant wait to see the pics though, i bet the will be fab.
Mel - I must have missed the post where you said you were putting your house up for sale. Hopefully you will get what you want for it! The cleaning side of it all sucks though.
Taryn - Welcome back!! Sounds like you guys had a great time and lucky you having Jacey sleep through the night now. Congrats to your friend.
Michaela - Yay for Harper finding a vegie that he actually likes! Maybe its because carrot can be quite sweet... i love all my vegies...ok, except brussell sprouts!
Poor Griffy has spiked a temp of 39.9 now so i have just given him some neurofen and demazin before his bottle and he is in bed (THANK GOD!). He only had one sleep today and that was on a blanket on the lounge room floor. He had to be near me all day. I managed to get a nap at the same time too because Amity had a sleep too. I think i will be heading to bed early tonight.

i think i need to get a mesh dummy thing! all the march bubs are loving them. do they make a lot of mess? Harps tried a milk arrowroot this arvo and now the toys on his walker are feral!
Michaela - Oops! We (us Mums second or more times around) should probably have warned you first time mums about the ole milk arrowroot mess. They are such great biccies for the kids and all seem to love them but ooooooohhhhhhh the meeeeessssssssss! Disgusting :barf:. And I too think I will get a mesh dummy thing. Can't be any messier than a milk arrowroot. :D
Sarah - I don't blame you! Sorry it ended that way but hopefully you will get some lovely shots of the kids and family anyway.
Kellie - awesome results with sureslim! Well done.
TenAndTa - No my AFs are reasonably mild however I think I do turn into a bit of a super b!tch sometimes when they are due.
Tazzy - welcome back. Sounds like you had a great trip bar the driving. We always found night driving best - hard but better with the kids. Also there is much less traffic to contend with at night. We use to do the Syd-Bris run overnight. Took about 10-11 hrs.
Mel - good luck with the house sale. Best thing about selling is having the house clean and tidy all the time. Worst thing about selling is having to keep the house so clean and tidy all the time :p.
Ok I;m off to get everything ready for work and childcare tomoz... DH is due back in the arvo but the flight is delayed so may not make it back before kids bedtime...
PS YAY All set for Secret Santa..... WoooHooo :smiliedance:. Thanks again lana.

I bought one of those meshy things the other day and 2 refill nets but it's on layby at Target cause they had 20-30% of baby things the other day so I managed to buy $150 worth of goodies...so Im hanging to get my layby out and use my meshy cause everyone is talking about them. Q. What is everyone putting in them? Is it raw or cooked or frozen??? Do you give it to bubs anytime or as part of a meal?
ok its about time I did the How did u meet ur DH question, we are probably all over it but your getting it anyway LOL
The year is 2001. The place is The Victory Hotel in Brisbane. The night is a Saturday night. The drink was a jug of beer shared between myself, my sister and another friend. Halfway through my first drink I see this handsome guy coming my way. He smiles. I say (giggle) How u doing?? (like joey from friends)yes im serious how daggy, i know lol. He smiles, laughs and stays to chat, I chat, he chats. I give him my phone number, he writes it on part of a torn cigarette packet (still has it today) We spend the night talking. He says he will call tomorrow. Im thinking yeah right, heard that before but secretly knew he would. He goes home. I go home. I am anxiously nervously waiting the next day with the huge butterflies in my stomach. He calls. We make a date for the next saturday. The rest is history as they say. Would you believe we talked baby names on the third date:eek: He actually said he loved me on the fourth date.  is what you think I know, whooah too fast but it's an amazing feeling you just can't explain when you know he's the one. I actually loved him very early on aswell but I was too scared to say it. It tooks me a couple of months to say it to him and the night I did, I said I have something to tell you, he said I KNOW... what a night that was Valentine iykwim ;)
The End, no not the end it was the beginning, the beginning of the rest of our lives *stares off into the distance* hehehe, you can throw up now!!!:barf:

Morning All
Up at the usual time - made the bed all pretty and tidied as i went. I will be a little worn out today after my night time effort of cleaning etc... but the house looks good. As always, I am noticing things that could be done - but there is a limit i guess.
I am not sure if i said we had put it on the market. I think i mentioned some time ago that we were getting the place ready for it - then the agent phoned last week and it all happened really fast... I was surprised it only being on for 3 days and we've had this much interest, but in ways it isn't surprising as it is in a really good location and on water... Many people like that appeal.... We are looking to move closer to DP's work (northern coast) but really don't have a plan as such.. ha ha... So wait and see i guess.
E had a good night - but she is in her cot playing at the moment....
Glad everyone likes the meshy/sucky things. Ellery just loves it. I have put in chopped up apple/mandarin/banana. Something juicy. When mango is in season - I've heard that it is great, really messy - but most kids love it.
Sarah - hope the finalisation of things works out alright for you. I am sure it will have moments of wearing you out- but if you strongly believe it is for the best, just go for it. I have been married before (no children at the time) and it was really difficult, but i just knew it was the right thing to do for the both of us. Really hard, but lets you move onto bigger and better things in life.
Kellie - I know the victory hotel. Use to frequent there in my hey day... ha ha... I met DP through friends - and the day we met, never been apart. Just knew it was right.... Haven't been apart more than 2 nights (on one occasion) since and that's been for 5.5 years. We met on the 8th March and E was born on the 14th march - just over 5 days after our 5 year meeting. HOW CUTE...
Tazzy - glad you had a good trip. Sounds like a lot of driving, but I am sure you have heaps of special memories and moments.....
Lana - hope Griff's temp stayed under control during the night... How do you take his temp? I had a thermometre you put under their arms, but not easy. Is there an easier solution for that?
Michaela - glad Harper enjoyed the carrot. Ellery likes carrot too - but she is eating anything to be honest, so she isn't a good gauge that's for sure... lol

happybirthday (Belated) Gin!!!
Not much to report here, i have called my MCHN and she said yep they don't do any more check up's until 1 year of age??? Why i haven't heard anything so i guess i will just go to the Dr's now where i get his needles done. Antonio is fine but i would like to know how much he weighs etc. I'm guessing around 9/9.5 kg as he is a heavy boy. I know he has grown a lot as his feet now touch the floor in his walker.
He say's dada now, and bubba mumma not as much anymore :crying: LOL.
Ooops just saw the stats thing you have all done:
Baby Name: Antonio
Weeks 6.2 months
Weight about My guess around 9/9.5/10kg
Height about 78cm
Rolling: Yep
Talking: Yes (dada, daaada, mmmumma, mum, bub bub, the rest is just babbling.
Sitting: Nope no interest in sitting
Crawling: Not yet, but since yesterday has started getting his knee's under him instead of on the sides, so seems to be starting to get ready. Is also commando crawling.
Feeds per Day: 3 milk 2 solids
Solids: Yes
Usual Night sleeps: 10:30 - 7-9AM, Self settles/resettles, oh and i am slowly putting his bed time back each day with no probs so far, my goal is in bed by 9pm up by 6am.
Teeth: 2 Bottom teeth .
Hey gals check out these! Teeth Bling http://www.ekidnakids.com.au/proddetail.php?prod=TBling&cat=11
What a great idea hey!
Love em!
Went to my Dp's dad's on Saturday, his step brother (dp's dads/gf son) is a *** little turd, picture overweight 8yo with red hair, red face and grotty hands with a mum who sucks at discipline, you get the idea... (btw he is 8 and weighs 60kg!!!!) 5 less than me. Anyway he was being a litttle **** to Antonio throwing balls at his head (little soft ones but still) and kept trying to play with him when i kept telling him he needs a nap as he was tired grumpy... so i let rip as his mum was just like in a soft voice dont do that.. and that was it. Ugh she is a pain in the *** too not just coz of that .. long story. So that was "fun"
Better go someone not happy camper.. will endeavour to catch up more later, sorry for the me post.

Morning Ladies!
Hey Lana, I got my Kris Kringle email, thanks for organising it! Just wanted to let you know I received it and that I am still wanting to participate! Hope Griff is ok with his temp, did he have a good night? Big Hugs for him!
This looks like fun and a great way to let you all know how Madi is going seeing I haven't been on for a while:
Baby Name: Madison
Weeks 6mth
Weight 7.47kg
Height 66cm
Rolling Yes, loves it!
Talking she doesn't shut up! Da da da, mmm mmm mmm, ba ba ba, ma ma ma, yeah, hey and lots of baby talk
Sitting yes finally
Crawling not yet
Feeds per Day four
Solids twice a day, eats everything now, little Miss Piggy
Usual Night sleeps she's changed again! Goes to bed at 5:30pm and up at 5am
Teeth None yet
**** I have to go, Madi's kindy has just phoned, she hasn't stopped screaming since I dropped her off this morning and is refusing the bottle so I have to pick her up. I think she is having a bad reaction to her needles......
I am going to pop on once a day, sneak on from work!
morning lovely march mummies!
i am sooo tired, up every 2 hours last night, i know its his tooth but geez Mummy needs some sleep! Al's home tomorrow so i will be in bed very early.
Nic wow, Madi goes to bed at 5.30? must be nice having all that time to yourself. but you can keep the 5am wake-ups! love my sleep-ins. i do wish Harps would go to bed earlier tho...
i hope she is ok after her needles.
Vickie do you have a local 'drop-in' clinic? we have one on tuesdays where you can weigh bub and have a chat with the nurses.
oh i gotta go, Harps having free-bum time and has wee-ed everywhere!

thanks Mel...what you wrote really hit home for me and i appreciate your sharing that with me:kiss:
Ive seen the pics from yesterday and they are so beautiful it was so very hard to just pick 5!
I didnt choose any of O...is that bad??? I figure his got heaps of pics (um like 3yrs worth lol) and iris doesnt so I picked all the ones of her:o :D
cant wait to get them and show them off!!!!
Sxx
My mum went down to kindy and picked up Madi and she screamed the whole way home in the car, but when they got home she finally settled down and seems to be much happier now. So it looks as though she is recovering from her needles. Did anyone else get the Rotavirus done for their bub? Did anyone notice a reaction to it? I think it caused a massive build up of wind and that seemed to be her main problem.
LL, yeah Madi is asleep at 5:30pm but that's when I load her into the car to go home so she falls straight asleep from her big day at Kindy or mum's house. But at the moment she is waking up heaps, I think she is starting to teeth, it's so annoying. But she's up again at 5am cause we have to leave the house at 5:30am to go to work, I miss my morning nap, but make up for it on the weekends. Do you find it hard looking after H when Al works away? How do you do it, you are a super mum!
So any big news from anyone? I might go read up on the posts now while I have some free time......
Regarding clinics - the one i go through is free, but at a chemist (Healthpoint if that helps.) Not sure if they are anywhere but QLD.... I have been taking Ellery to the Dr's for her needles as she has been getting the ritorvirus syrum - which isn't on the 'free list' yet, so had to pay for a consultation anyway..... She's had all of her injections until 12 months...:smiliedance: Luckily, she didn't have any sort of reaction. Strong little thing - cried really, REALLY LOUD - but only for a minute
Nic - Ellery goes to bed around 5.30pm - 6pm too, and she stirs around 5.30am - I snuggle her back up in bed and persevere until about 6.15am-6.30am... Some mornings she doesn't want a bar of it, but I usually make it until then before bottle time.
Hope Madi's alright with the kindy calling and all..... Might be that she is out of sorts with the needles.
Vicki - glad you're feeling heaps better. I know, there's been alot of chatter going on here... How's that lovely Antonio going - hope he is all well.
Sounds like the step-relatives kid is a turd... Why don't some parents step in - as if you (as being NOT their parent) are going to feel comfortable telling the 'turd' to stop - it urks me that some adults don't seem to care.... DOH!
Those teeth blings look interesting. Ellery's taken to grabbing my chain (hence, I don't weat it much now).... I would just wash it after she had been sucking on it.....
Well, have had 2 lots of people through today. I took ellery for a walk for the first lot - it is really hot out there. And then, the others were coming back 1 hour later. She was so overtired - just wanted to go to sleep. So, I said to the agent would it be a BIG DEAL if i were here - and he said no... E and I just sat in the lounge on the rocking chair watching tv - don't think it mattered. I think the guy is looking for an investment property - so sort of knows what he's looking at. So, wait and see I suppose. I'll call the agent later for feedback.
Not much else going on here. Went to the chiro earlier - then stopped in for a coffee before coming home. E has been pretty good today. Tried zucchini this morning with her pot/pumpkin and carrot. She ate it up no problems. Will probably make for some multi-coloured poos, but I am yet to find a food she doesn't like!!!!
Nic - Ellery had the rotovirus syrum and didn't seem to have any affect - but doesn't mean poor madi hasn't. Hope she continues to be ok during the day. Nice that your mum was able to pick her up.

Lana - hope Griff's temp stayed under control during the night... How do you take his temp? I had a thermometre you put under their arms, but not easy. Is there an easier solution for that?
Mel i use the under the arm style thermometer too BUT you can get ones that u put on their forehead and also in the ear like at the docs and they are super quick but cost around $60 or so. I have really been considering getting one though.
Nic - poor Madi. Whatever it is i hope it goes away soon and she is feeling better.
Michaela - I think I have a spare mesh thingy here so if i can find it you are more than welcome to it. It has never been used or anything, its still in the packaging.
Sam was able to come home 2 hours early yesterday which was really good. Griff was still very unsettled last night so Sam stayed up with him until 1.30am trying to settle him, then he passed the duties over to me. I struggled a bit cos i was so tired so when he woke for the 10th time in 2 hours i bough him into bed with us and he slept like a log!! I think he just wanted to be near his mummy :hugs:
You know what would be really handy for Griff while he is being so clingy towards me?? MY ERGO!!!!

That's great that Ellery didn't have any probs with it. It might be something else, it's so hard guessing what cause them to be upset. Hopefully you get some good feedback about your house this afternoon.
Lana and Mel, I have one of those No Touch Thermometer's which cost $50 from the local chemist and it is fantastic! You just place it about 2cm away from their temple and it takes their temp in 2 sec. I was not sure but so glad a got it, I was running around the house taking everyones temp - bored mummy!

Do you find it hard looking after H when Al works away? How do you do it, you are a super mum!
 i do very little housework! i try to have a rest when he naps the last couple of days coz he has been sleeping so badly. but yeh, by this time of the week i am HANGING for him to get back and take over for a while.
I struggled a bit cos i was so tired so when he woke for the 10th time in 2 hours i bough him into bed with us and he slept like a log!! I think he just wanted to be near his mummy :hugs:
Harper's the same, i can put him back to bed over and over and he'll wake and cry. but bring him in with me and he is out like a light within seconds...
whats happening with the ergo? are they getting it express or do you have to wait? i love mine so much, i put him in it to hang out the nappies yesterday coz he was so grumpy and he dozed off before i even finished. wonderful inventions they are.
we've got Mums Club today :smiliedance: just waiting for H to wake up so i can go get some petrol then go to my friends. one of the mums can't come as her little girl is sick but there will still be four of us. i'm so happy my friends have bubs the same time as me!
oh i nearly forgot - BAD MUMMY CONFESSION...
last night i noticed red spots on two of H's toes, like the top couple of layers of skin had rubbed away. then i realised it must have been coz he had no socks on in the JJ! we have cork so i thought it might be slippery (which is why i took his socks off) but obviously bouncing over and over rubbed his skin raw! :(

Yep i decided to wait for the Retro one otherwise i know i would regret it later. Its a pain though cos i have to wait 4 weeks minimum.
Michaela - Oopsy re Harpers toes. Dont worry though, that is only the beginning! Wait until he starts crawling into things lol

In regards to the thermometer, I just use the under the arm one but I agree it is a little bit fiddly especially during the night to take one sleeve off. I am also on the lookout for something better, more practical. Nic that No touch one sounds genious, i'd be interested to see how it works???? I was at the shops yesterday I bought the things called Temp teddies, you just sick them on their skin (forehead, underarms or between the shoulder blades) and you leave it on for up to 48 hours and it displays their temp. I haven't used them yet so not sure how well they work...
Michaela dont worry about your BMM, sometimes we just overlook things but we obviously learn for the next time :)
Mel Nic whats the rotavirus syrum, not sure I have heard of this before???
Nic hows Madi now? is she any better??
Lana hope little Griff settles better for you tonight so you can get some much needed sleep.....
Sarah can't wait to see your lovely photos, I'm sure Iris looks just gorgeous!!! Did you get shots taken of O aswell or a joint one of the 2 kiddies together? I have to say it would be hard for me not to get photos of both of them..We have some photos due to be taken in Nov at Elijah's preschool, they have a deal where it cost $10 for the sitting and big photo in a frame. It for fundraising for the preschool. I think the way the photographer makes their money is by people opting to buy more than one pose or several photos.

hey Guys
I haven't posted in a while my internet stopped working but we are up and running again!
Owen has had a temp the last couple of days, I took him back to the Dr to check he still didn't have an ear infection but he said they look fine...so I don't know what is causing the fever?? I just wish he would get better the poor thing it feels like he has been sick for ages.
He did the funniest thing this morning, I always put him in his bumbo in front of the chooks cage while I hang up the washing which is 5 metres away. I was watching him trying really hard to get out of the bumbo and I thought to myself Nah there is no way he can get out so I turn away and bent down to pick up some clothes and when I turned back Owen was face planted in the dirt! I ran to pick him up and he was laughing his head off completely covered in dirt, he had leaves in his mouth and two handfuls of dirt he would of only been on the ground a matter of 5 seconds, I couldn't stop laughing!!
Elmo good luck at the Dr's hopefully it's nothing too serious!!
KelI have an ear thermoter I think it was about $50, but well worth it! it is so quick and easy to use.
LL don't feel bad it obviously isn't bothering him, if it it makes you feel any better O was sitting this morning while I was taking some pics I looked away for 1 second and he fell over and banged his head on the ground I think I got a fright more than he did! he was ok didn't take a fizz out of him.

Well i took Griff to the docs and he had a temp of 39.8 degrees, his left ear is a bit red and he has a bit of a red throat. He also had to do a wee sample... Any of you seen the little bag they attach to get wee samples from little boys? Then i had to empty it into the specimen jar at home lol.

Everyone in my house is asleep so i really should have an early night. I think i will give it until 8.30pm though just to make sure Griff is down properly.
Well, can you believe it -
THE HOUSE IS SOLD!!!!! After 3 days of being on the market and very minimal advertising... I guess it is the location. They guy buying is from sydney and moving up this way... Finance should be fine - think he's cashed up. He is off to the UK today as his mum died - so it was all a bit of a rush. Had the agent here at 6pm and then numerous phone calls later - and it was done. We're happy with the outcome - would have been nice to have more $$'s, but we got our aim so can't be greedy. It is currenty a longish settlement (120 days) to get us over xmas, but it could happen earlier on mutual agreement. Now DP and I have to get organised and find another place. ha ha
I am a bit weary this morning - DP and I had a few celebratory wines and didn't eat much - got up with DP at 4.15am and had a shower (felt gross) and needed food...So, i think i'll be lying down with E today....
The thermometres that you just hold near buba's temple sound great. Might have to source one of them i think.
sflower - sounds like owen didn't mind falling out of the bumbo - glad he was laughing makes it much easier on mummy....
Lana - I haven't seen the boy sample bags - but it was hillarious when i had to do it to Ellery. They sort of stuck around her little bits and caught the sample - but it got contaminated - then we had to catch it in a bag... We thought "how are we going to do this" but thankfully she weed quickly and I actually caught some without getting drenched myself... ha ha
Ellery's SO ATTACHED to mummy at the moment. It feels really nice to be so loved, but at times it would be nice to have a bit of a break. If i give her to anybody she doesn't know - the bottom lip pouts instantly and big, fat tears well in her eyes and fall down her cheeks. It is so cute when she chucks that pouty face - but also very sad to see... She's really getting a little personality too.
As usual - when people were here looking at the house, E was sitting in her highchair all nice and cute - then all of a sudden was grunting and going red in the face (POO TIME)... Then when the agent was here last night - she was in the highchair, happy as, with feet in the air just checking him out then all of a sudden - really loud "BBRRRRRRRR" massive bottom burp... We all laughed (so did she, squeeling and all)... It was cute - then she followed it with red faced grunting for the #2... I know the agent has 3 grown boys - so that wouldn't surprise him in the least I suppose... Quite funny though.

I usually put a bib on her but forgot and so a lil bit of food touched her skin well within minutes it was all red and pimply like her last reaction
then she threw up the lil amount of food she had managed to eat (she never throws up)

Ta-leah is doing the whole pout thing as well when you pass her onto people to hold. She used to not mind at all being passed around. She has got really quite clingy over the last week, she constantly looks for me, then cries when she see's me because she wants to be picked up. She holds her hands out now to indicate that she wants to be picked up. Oh so cute!!!, but yet so devillish.

Well I am doing Optifast again & it's sooo hard! At least i know it works (lost 13kg on it pre-preg). I am as heavy as what I was 9mths prg atm! TERRIBLE I know!! At least I know it wil get easier.
New developments - Ok well Ella rolls onto her side then CLAPS! So cute & unco lol. She is also trying to copy me & wave!
6 mth stats (as at Friday) are:
8.7kg
41cm hc (shrunk?)
66cm long
Yay for Secret Santa!! I am very excited with who I have ... we agreed handmade gifts were okay, yeah? (Considering it prob costs a bit more?). Let me know if u have any objections ... Thanks LANA for organising it!!
You can check out one of Ella's pics here: www.littlemasterpiece.com.au, go to Winners on the menu then go to Queensland on the page then Westfield Carindale. Aww ... so proud!
SARAH - I absolutely love your pics! How gorgeous your kidlets are! (& you too of course ;) ). Oh & don't worry, it'll be 1st December before we know it!! Do we have to wait to Chrissy to open??
HOLLIE - No she doesn't have a dream feed. As soon as we took the dummy away she started sleeping through. Although the last couple of nights she has been quite unsettled, waking up & winging a couple of times during the night but she goes back off. I think her teeth are bothering her as she seems to have a 2nd one cutting the surface! She has been such a mummy's girl yesterday & today as well & winging a lot. Poor thing, it must really hurt, hey?!
How is Monty going? Any new developments? I luv the new avy! You must be such a proud mummy toad! How is your climbing going?
KELLIE - The Expo was great wasn't it?! I bought 2 'night time' nappies - Sandmans. I asked if you could use for day time but she kept saying how they're very pop & have ppl coming back for them the next day (I went Saturday) so just made out I was using them for night. I haven't used them at night yet but for day I take out the booster. I got a frangipani one & a classic Pooh one. They are gorgeous! I also got a handmade wool soaker with cherries on the bum. The lady with her (her mum I think) had just made them! And I also got some wool wash. She was very impressed I knew what I was talking about! LOL. The ones I got were Nappy Chappies. I also wanted to get the BubbleBubs ones. The shaggy pink ones! How gorgeous were they?! The ones at the natural stand (can't remember the name) but they were organic ones & seemed good too, doing up at the back. I wish I'd gone back & bought the flushable liners now though.
LANA - I tried on the ERGO!! It is so comfy! Ella loved it at first then got sh!tty lol. I said I'd ask my dh about it first & haven't called her back yet as don't have the $$ atm (she was selling for $141 at the expo and said she would until Tues or Wed for me). Dave seems quite interested. They had a pic up of the Black/Green retro one but it doesn't come out til Oct. I might wait til then. She also said they don't make the critters ones anymore either. I tried the blue with camel lining she had there.
Ok I will post this then continue with the next 5 pages ...

Oh & another thing Ella started doing yesterday in the car on the way to MG is blowing massive rasberries! She did them for about a day at aruond 3 mths old then stopped. It was so random it cracked me up!
Here are Ella's stats:
Baby: Ella Rose
Weeks: Um ... lost count! But she was 6mths on Saturday! So 6mths 4 days
Weight: 8.7kg
Height: 66cm
Rolling: Onto her side, sometimes belly to back ...
Talking: No
Sitting: Sometimes yes, sometimes no
Crawling: No
Feeds per Day: 5 bottles
Solids: Yes - dinner around 4pm however started her on breakfast this morning (Avocado - u should've seen her face! She didn't eat it all for a change lol).
Usual Night sleeps About 5pm - 5.45-6.15am
Teeth - Yes one is through but only about 1/2 way up. Another is cutting the surface I think. Top ones are about to as well.
KELLIE - Well done on the weight loss! What programme are you doing? Oh just read SureSlim! Good luck! Aww ... what a sweet story! The VIC brings backs heaps of drunken memories ... lol. I don't think it was too fast I knew I loved DH after a couple of weeks & knew we'd be together forever too lol. Much to my parents objections about him at the time ... but he has changed now they love him more than me LOL.
SARAH - Wow Mike's keen! I would've been fuming too!
I bought one of those mesh net things when E was about 3 mths old or less but haven't tried it yet. Might cook some potato later & stick a piece in it. Would u just boil it then stick it in there? With apple or manderine etc do you just chop a piece off & stick it in there?
TARYN - How was your trip aside from the driving? Did you have a lovely break? You will have to post some pics of your friend's little boy!
LL - I luv raw carrot dipped in salt!! YUM!
NIC - Glad to see you are able to get on more often now ... hehe. Work's gr8 for that lol. Hope Madi is feeling better xo No, Ella hasn't had rota-virus thing. Haven't been told about it?
LANA - How is Griff today? HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Sam for yesterday!
TEMPS - I have a digital one i was given & also a dummy one. I haven't used the dummy one yet as I weaned her from her dummies & not sure whether to take her temp using it or not.
MEL - CONGRATS ON SELLING YOUR HOUSE!!!!!!! Wow record timing!! You shuold move to Wello Pt & come to our MG & we can go for long walks 2gether!
I have all my pics of when I was little on my computer because dad did a 21st power point presentation for me a few yrs ago. I will see if I can upload to PB.
Bye for now :)
Hey Carrie! Bet you had withdrawals - lol. Ella sounds like she is doing great! I hope your diet goes well. I started the Tony Ferguson diet 2 months ago and lost 15kg, it's hard work but glad to have lost all that weight.
Here are some more pics of Madi

Mel, congrats on selling your house so quick! Good luck with house hunting, least you guys have some time to find the right one!
Sarah, hope Iris is ok, I didn't know what to look for when they had reactions! Madi ate some brocoli the other day and started getting some red little pimply things too. Will keep an eye on her
Kel, well done on the tax return, that would be a great surprise!

OMG Ella just did the most feral pooh & it took like 8 wipes to get it all off! She also soiled her first baby beehinds nappy :( Needless to say I put her down & went straight to the laundrey to rinse it off & put that & the other baby beehinds she had on earlier in the wash.
I am getting my (extended) order of baby beehinds on Monday so very happy to be getting them soon as I LOVE THEM!!! I also wanna order some more bumgenius pockets. Might do that now. Oops ... I said I wuold put my FTB on credit card each fortnight as down to last $800-$1000 (don't tell DH!). $76 won't make that much diff!
Nic - how adorable is Madi... She can sit really well - much better than Ellery. E's a bit of a gumby and sort of face plants on the ground - wish I were that flexible now!!!!!
Thanks for all the congratulations on the house. Has been a busy morning. Finding a solicitor - then making sure everything is right. Had the buyer and agent around this morning - as the buyer is going to add on a top story asap - and he is oversea's today, so he was taking heaps of pictures. Really nice bloke and there is not rubbish with the contract... So lets hope it keeps going this smoothly.
Ellery has been out of sorts late morning. She was really hot - tried to take her temp (no go)... I will have to get an easier one than the under armpit - just doesn't work with her. Little wriggler.
She's lying down now - don't know how long for though..... She did a ferral poo before too, all stuck to her backside (NICE) took about 5 wipes to clear and it was a replication of the pot and pumpkin she had earlier... NICE... YUK
Carrie - Glad you're now back online. Hope your babybeehinds come in on monday. It's always exciting getting new stuff.
With the net/mesh things. I put in little pieces of apple and a slice of mandarin or mushy banana. I haven't used vegetables as yet - but if you want, I'd just boil up some pot or pumpkin - let cool and put some small bit in there.....
Kellie - well done on the weight loss. It is one of the hardest things to do, I've gone up and down with my weight most of my life - and it isn't easy to lose..... Hope it keeps going well for you....:yelclap:

I think for the Secret Santa we should say what size clothes our bub's wear or will be wearing at that time in case our SS's wanna buy clothes.
I am buying 1's for Ella.
Yeah - I think 1's would be good for Ellery at xmas time too.....
Great idea! Madi would be a 1 too at xmas time, maybe not in length but width - hehe. I have already have sooooo many size 1 clothes for Madi and a few size 2. I packed up the biggest container of all her newborn and 000 clothes, there was soooooooo many of them. Felt a little sad when I packed them away, can't believe she's growing up!!!
Mel, I hope E is coming down with anything? Maybe it's her teeth? Poor bubba! yeah if you can you should get a no touch thermometer, they are great. How exciting about your house, are you still staying on the coast?
I am so bored at work today! I just wanna go home and cuddle Madi. We are staying up in Brisbane tonight at my mums house, 'cause I have tomorrow off work so we can spend the day with Nanny.
I feel really bad but I have taken up smoking again! How bad is that? I have to get some patches, bad habit cause we all go out for a coffee and smoke when at work. I had to share cause I feel really guilty and anxious about it.

I just purchased 5 more nappies!
I got 3 Peapods - a red with navy lining, a white with white lining & a pink & white.
And from Darlingsdownunder I got:
1 yellow bumgenius pocket (luv em) and
1 turqoise berry plush AIO. No extra soakers avail tho.
Has anyone else used these ones?
Poor ella has been ignored with my internet back & I feel bad! My wrist is paying for it. BUT my diet has been easier as i have had other things to do to take up time other than think about food.

Oh no Nic!
I used to be a smoker & have to admit I have had a couple of cravings when I have had a drink & it's hard when Dave smokes but I just look at Ella and can't do it.
Maybe take a pic of Madi with you when you will be tempted?
It's hard at work too cos it's so stressful. Maybe don't drink coffee? That helped me too.
I am going to buy some patches, I think I have been ignoring it as I always thought it was just one here and one there, but now I am buying packets!! Not good, very upset with myself. DH and I have been fighting so much lately to the point that we are talking about seperation so I just go have a smoke cause I am upset or angry, which is not the right thing to do at all!!
Sorry for all the :ecomcity: today
Nic
Can empathise - I gave up when preg, and have to admit - give into the cravings more than I would like. Have never said anything as I don't want to be howled down...
So, I am with you and know what you're going through..... We can be a bit of support for one another - the dreaded 'smokers'....

OMG! I thought I was the only naughty one out there. It's hard to admit to people or getting caught by family or friends. Great idea we should support each other and stop it.

CrawlingNo
Feeds per Day 5 or 6
SolidsNot yet
Usual Night sleeps around 10-12 hours
Teeth No
hello!
well i was meant to clean today but i went to my friends instead hehe! Al's not home for a couple more hours so i will do a quick clean-up shortly.
SECRET SANTA - H is still in 00 now so he'll be in 0 at xmas i reckon. but remember his big butt lol!
Carrie berry plush are beautiful! my fave 'show-off nappy' and soooo cute for girls under a little dress. i have 4 small (packed away now) and 4 medium. i wouldnt worry about extra inserts, they usually wee through onto the cover. they are also great as a cover for baby beehinds. peapods are ok, i only have small size that he's out of now. they are fine but i dont think they would last as long as a better-made nappy. sounds like you are well and truly addicted to mcns now!
Nic & Mel :shame: tsk tsk. nah just joking!! :D everyone has a bad habit or two! my friend just quit breastfeeding as she's back on the smokes too. i wouldnt judge anyone for being a smoker (well, unless they were doing it next to their kids!)
and Nic i'm sorry to hear you're having problems with your DH...

Mel - Thats great news about your house! Congrats!
Nic - Aww Madi is beautiful and her eyes are just stunning!
We are about to go out for dinner so just wanted to quickly let you all know how Griff is.
The doc thinks he may have an ear infection so he is on anti-biotics... at least they will help clear it all up so that we can ALL have a decent nights sleep again.
Oh, and on top of my cold i have also caught conjunctivitis off of Amity :banghead: Back to the doctors for us.

Mel wow CONGRATS on selling the house!!!!! That amazing sold in three days...you guys must be so happy. You really didn't get much time to get used to the idea of your house was on the market, how exciting now for you to go house hunting. What area are you thinking about???
Tennille How clever of Ta-leah to hold her hands out to be picked up
Nic Madi looks so precious in the photo of her sitting up, those big eyes...owhhhh sweet ohhh just looked at all the other ones at the zoo, she's so sweet
Carrie Yeah your back!!! Gosh you did lots of chatting today to make up for it :ecomcity: :D LOL Couldn't stay away hey. Optifast, is that the shake one you get from the supermarket??? I haven't tried that one but did try the chemist one, I joined and did it for nearly 2 weeks but just couldn't stick to it. I couldn't get my head around the whole drinks for 2 meals  Good luck with it :) The photo of Ella is oh so sweet. No wonder she got 1st place!!!
The expo was really good yeah I planned just to go in look at the mcns and maybe buy one and then go hahahha ended up staying about 4 hrs and buying 4 lol and want to buy more. Sounds like you got some nice ones from the expo...I do remember the lady and her mum you are talking about who made the wool soaker. I actually talked to her for ages, I bought an AIO from her and would have bought a fitted for night with a wool soaker but she didn't have any soakers left that I liked. Bubblebubs had such a gorgeous range of mcn's. I think they were all AIO's, I bought 2 from there (did you see my post with the photos on Sunday) they are so cute, he had one on today, just love it!!!! The natural stand was the first one I went to and the lady was just lovely and so helpful for this mcn newbe...she actually is on bubhub too. I did buy fom her another AIO with a booster and some of those flushable liners  I now need to go online and buy more more more!!! (mcn's that is not liners LOL) but still searching where to buy them from, I don't really want to use our creditcard so I have to see if the have alternative payment options??
Lana :hugs: for all you guys you seem to be having a bad time lately with sickness...I really hope everything clears up soon. When E is put on antibiotics I also give him Pentavite (sp) if you are not sure what that is, its like baby vitamins (drops) it helps rebuild the goodies that the antib. get rid off... Lana I see you going out for dinner and I thought to myself thats a little late but then I realised you guys are 2 hours behind (silly me), I often think you are up late too but I just realised the 2 hour delay (der fred)lol
Noah will be size 1 by chrissy too and I hope he stays size 1 until at least winter cause I recently went to pumpkin patch sale and bought lots and lots of outfits for next winter in size 1, I really didn't think he would even be in a couple of O outfits by now ahhh growing to fast......
DH is starting a new job on Monday so he's having the next 4 days off, looking foward to having him home with me. Planning to do something special over the weekend maybe stay somewhere for Fri and Sat nights??? Not sure where yet? Any suggestions...
Sorry if too long, I do blab on a bit and then realise how big the post is. ahhhh
Dh just said WA is 4 hours behind , not sure I thought it was 2....mmmm

Hi Chickies,
This will be a quicky of sorts.
Look what I got in the mail today!!! (http://www.bizztools.net/misc/sarah.jpg)
I thought it may be my socks I bought from One Item but even better I got a lovely present from SARAH! Thanks so much for the fluffiest frog towel and cute froggy and a cup that must have been for you????
Thanks so much for making my day.
Kel, Monty is already in size 1! In his swimming class all the other babies are around 11 months and he's exactly the same size and weight as them.
Enjoy home time with your DH.
Lana, have a fun night out, hope Griffin is ok very soon.
Carrie I'll try mail off your nappy for you tomorrow if I get time. Hard work looking after a toadlet and cooking Dad his lunches and din dins.
Bluegin.. I thought Kes had a tooth really early??
Monty toad has 2.5, and speaking of teeth guess what my horrid little child did today.
He was in his pram with his mouth wide open (ok, he was crying) and Dad motice his top gum was bleeding. I thought he may have itten on something quite hard. Later on he was in the Ergo putting himself to sleep and I heard an awful noise. He is grinding is bottom two teeth on his two top teeth which must still be just under the skin!!!
OOOWWW MONTY!!!
He's been the ost unbelievably smiley happy toadlet the last few days, just giggling the whole time. When we were on the train he was being smile sl_ut and everone opposite us had huge cheesy grins cause of him. Proud mummy.
M2B, good luck with the patches. Do you have Maddi in daycare? Not sure if it was you that said it. How does she find it? is it just to give you some time to yourself or for her? I was thinking aobut it for Monty Toad but I think I can get away with doing enough work while he is asleep.
Oh! How cute is Maddi too!!
Took my Dad to climbing tonight, I've been doing really difficult ones too. My muscles are getting very big from climbing and picking up the fat toadlet. Don't want to get too big. Dad said he could see all the muscles in my back when i was climbing and he could use me for an anatomy class.
Pic of Dad and toadlet. (http://www.flickr.com/photos/7918637@N06/1407376394/) (blasted ginger hair!)

Hollie who does Monty get the ginger locks from?? I though Frog was blonde.... Wow i cant believe Monty is in a size 1 already!
Kel - You are right, we are only 2 hours behind lol not 4. Dinner was really nice but Amity was really tired and a bit grumpy plus Griff spewed everywhere a few times...
MIL said to me at dinner tonight "On Friday why dont you just bring Griff to my house and go have the day to yourself (rather than working)" How nice is that!
Michaela - If you still wanted to catch up Friday for a bit we can now! And lucky me wont have any kids at all!
Ok all you Syndey and Melbourne girls....Im coming over!! I will probably be coming over within the next 2 weeks or so!! How very exciting hey!
Poor Sam has to sleep on the couch tonight because im having Griff in the bed with me. Thankfully Sam is one of those people that can sleep anywhere, anytime.
Well, everything is still going smoothly with the house sale. Got a solicitor and the agent came around last night to finalise a couple of things. All good!!! Max (buyer) is super keen, already instigated an architect for the double storey - so i don't think there will be any major probs. I have to inspections today 1 after the other. Firstly - it is the final for our own renovations (the builders have been slack and we threatened legal yesterday if they didn't get their a*%&#$ into gear) and then it is building and pest inspection.... AAGGHHH - all happening, but good. Moving forward at an alarming rate.... Max is a really nice guy and I gave him copies of our plans of the house as it will help him immensely with the reno's he's doing. He was really appreciative and I can see that we will be able to chat/talk to one another really easily in the future. We swapped phone #'s and emails if there are any questions or needs. So, all good.
My mum is coming down tomorrow morning (she has a day off work for fin.year nightmare - free day) so she'll be here all weekend. I am sure we'll be spending quite a bit of time in the car loking at other properties now.
We are looking to buy closer to DP's work (Mariner at back of Dreamworld at Coomera). We are thinking of even going to gated communities (never really looked at them) so maybe coomera waters or alike.... Also looking at Ormeau as I think it will be up and coming in the near future.
Lana - glad you were able to get out for dinner, but sorry to hear Griff had a few :barf: and everyone was a bit tired. maybe you could take the MIL up on the offer and have a bit of 'mummy' time....
Hollie - sounds like the climbing is doing you super well.... I'd love to have muscleds like that!!! I know, it takes alot of hard work and effort but you're a champ. Love the pic of your dad and Monty..... That dad of yours is still a looker!!!! I think the ginger locks are beautiful too! With his weight and size - he is just a very healthy, happy little boy.... He looks so happy in the picture... Hope he doesn't grind his teeth/gums too much....
Ellery's teeth haven't come through yet - wish they would as they are really bothering her... I keep checking but nothing in sight yet.
She has been good the last few days - going to sleep in her cot during the day! Sometimes for about 45 mins - others for 1.5 hours.. That's all new to me, the little wonder NEVER slept during the day, so it does give me some time to potter about. Just feels wierd after 6 months of not being able to do that.
Ellery is playing in her cot - so should go and check on her.....

Good Morning ladeeeeezz
In October i'm going on a shopping tour!!!! you know jump on a bus and go around to all the outlets...can't wait it's just in time for chrissy yeh. Morning tea and 2 course lunch included for $40. A whole day of shopping :smiliedance: I have to get one of those big red white and blue shopping bags to put all the goodies in.
Mel i can't believe how fast things are moving along for you. You are so lucky to have the opportunity to live near the water...I am totally a water baby, grew up in Forster NSW which is a coastal town right on the beach. I used to go to the beach everyday and there wasn't a day where I didn't see water. I miss it so much, it's so calming. I can tell you i'll be by the beach again one day - probably to retire hahaha
Hollie Do you constantly get people saying ohhh he's a big boy?, how old is he I thought about ?? mths?, what you feeding him? gosh I can't believe he 6 mths. Nearly everytime we go to the shop someone seems to comment on Noah size, phfff it's not like he has fat rolls everwhere or 3 double chins lol...just pees me off sometimes and I feel like I have to defend him...Does this ever happen to you with Monty size???? Great shot of Monty and your dad, it's one of those photo's that Monty will love looking at when he is bigger...
gtg get ready for the day, as I say to Elijah got to go get my day clothes on hehe
Ok all you Syndey and Melbourne girls....Im coming over!! I will probably be coming over within the next 2 weeks or so!! How very exciting hey!
Yay! Very exciting!
And Happy Birthday to Sam (very much belated!). You MIL sounds like such a legend Lana, I hope Friday is very relaxing for you. And that the poor kidlets get better soon (and your eye, gee conjunctivitus sucks, I hate it!!!)
Hollie-no, it's pretty funny actually, after the false alarm tooth (white bump, felt hard, blood) there has been nothing! LOL, the molar bumps are pretty big, and he gets grizzle relief from Bonjela sometimes, but nothing coming through :o
Toadlet clearly loves that Grandpa of his, that picture is gorgeous. I'm a bloodnut, it can be annoying to have red hair (luckily mine is more brown now) but little boys look so cute with it!
The only drawback I can see with Toadlet being so advanced in size is that you'll probably get more than your fair share of idiots making their idiotic comments... fun fun
Mel-congrats on the house! Great news, you must be super glad not to have to deal with any more showings!
Vickie-thanks mate!
LL-that is such a great photo, congratulations to your grown up sitting boy!
Nic-Madi is such a sweet little girl, I don't think I've seen photos since she was very tiny so it's amazing to see her now! She looks like a joy!
I'm going to a Mums and Bubs movie this morning, Hairspray! Yay! It does make an early start for me (everything for parents seems to be aroun 10-10:30 I find, I'm never properly in to the day till midday!) but looking forward to it.
Oh, and I got 2 (yes that's right ladies, 2!) tops the other day that don't make me look like a whale. I threw myself on the shopgirl's mercy, and she really came through.

Good morning!
Well I don't think I have lost any weight yet however my body feels cleaner & better like a detox. Having the internet back yesterday took my mind off it. The main reason I think I am finding my clothes so horrible to fit into atm is cos of my jelly belly which makes me still look like I have a preg belly in heaps of my clothes. It's so annoying.
NIC - So sorry to hear about your troubles, I hope that you guys can sort things out. David & I have nearly separated about 3 times since Ella was born but after a while things get a little better. I sh!t myself the day he really did walk out. I was hysterical, even though I'd told him to leave because I love him so much & I don't think I could do that to Ella. If you ever need to chat you're welcome to come over or give me a call/email etc. Hope you enjoy your day off with your mummy.
Also, you were talking about how it's hard to admit to friends & family, well when I was 19 (a smoke-aholic!) my mum & dad kept asking me if I still smoked etc & eventually one night I was craving one something chronic (you know how it is) and I was upset at the time & I said to them ok I smoke so I'm gonna go out the back & have one (they let Dave smoke out the back) and I was not allowed to! I was so cut I cos I had come clean and I was 19 at the time.
LL - Yes I am well & truly ADDICTED!!! LOL. Now I am a bit worried about the PP's ... maybe I should've asked you girls first what you thought. Oh well I suppose every bub is different & even if I only use those at home ... keep the good ones for out. Although I ordered a night booster I think for each one so I can always add those in the pockets when I am out. I am looking fwd to the red with navy lining as it'll look great under her denim dress which has red ribbon on the pockets, red buttons & a red & white striped tee underneath! I am trying to get more neautral colours now in case my next bub is a boy. I got the turquoise berry plush as it was on sale for $32 and it's a gorgeous colour anyway! I wanted to see the fuschia (sp?) but there was no pic & they were sold out anyway.
We tried out a night-time nappy last night (the Pooh one I got at the expo) and the wool soaker. I was fully expecting the mattress to be damp but OMG she was drier & did not stink as much as a disposable in the morning!!! I was absolutely AMAZED!!!
With the baby beehinds for night you put the booster between the nappy & wool cover hey?
LANA - I hope that your household is healthy again soon!! I had the weirdest dream last night ... I opened my boot & there was a new pram in there, Dave had apparently bought it when he & SAM had gone to TRU ... ROFLMAO!!! He said it was for if we went on a plane cos it's a ****tier one and only cost $150 so our P&T doesn't get ruined. He cracked up laughing this morning saying in my dreams!
KELLIE - COOL! I went on a shopping tour like that for my Bridal Shower. It was awesome! And I got some freebies being the Bride to Be!
Yes I certainly did heaps of chatting yesterday! LOL. Optifast is from the chemist too. You don't have to 'sign up' like you do for Tony Ferguson. I was actually told to do Optifast by a specialist to lose weight before I had my appendix out as a quick fix. I was tempted to try the TF one but figured I already knew Optifast worked, don't have to pay $60 to 'register' and it was recommended by a dr.
With the MCN's - you can buy them from Darlings Downunder with either credit card or deposit into her bank account. She is a lovely lady & you can email her whenever you like with questions etc & she always gets back to you straight away & is really nice to deal with.
I was looking on the Bubble bubs site yesterday as want to buy that shaggy pink AIO I saw at the expo but can't see them on the website :( Maybe I should email. Did you find they lasted for a while? Which AIO did you get? One of those bamboo ones with the fleece or velour or whatever it was on the outside? I LOVED those! I could've bought heaps!
I didn't like many of the soakers either & was just lucky she had literally just knitted this one we bought as it is lovely. I loved the stripy 'shorties' or 'longies' I am not sure! Hehe. I spoke to her for ages too. Let me know how those natural ones are. I liked that they did up at the back.
HOLLIE - What a lovely present!!! You lucky girl! Sarah, you did well :) Hollie, don't go out of your way to post my 'fluffy mail', I know you have a lot on atm! OMG Monty! DON'T grind your teeth! What a horrible sound, it gave me goosebumps reading & thinking about it! Hehe smile sl_ut... Haven't heard that one before but luv it! Luv them chubby, the chubbier the better I say! Ella was bigger than her boyf, Louie at Kindermusik who was 2 mths older than her! And the girl who was the exact same age looked the size Ella was at 2 mths haha.
Ok best be off to get ready. My friend & her bub is coming over at 11am and we are walking to where MG is meeting for lunch today (across from the strawberry farm so might have to stop there on the way home!). Hope it's not too hot ...
PS I was very annoyed watching Deal last night cos I registered like 6 times to be the home viewer & someone else got the $200k! How cutting! LOL.
hi girls its me :D
M had her op tuesday morning and is doing really well. she doesnt complain at all and has only been on painstop before meals.. she refuses it now so she's on panadol.
i have been skimming and trying to keep up but its frustrating when i couldnt post back.

happy birthday sam! lana i hope you're feeling better and have a great day tomorrow.
we were looking on ebay for a single pram to have at mums and found a bertini bidwell(old style) pram.. mums picking it up today(innaloo.. ages away!) im bidding on a toddler seat for it too.. coz they are no longer sold in baby stores.. postage is $20 i think so as long as i dont go over $100 i'll be happy coz thats brand new price hehe

Morning all... this is going to be a very "me" post, sorry.
Well I think i have tonsilitis!! It is tonsilitis that causes you to get the yellowy-white spots at the back of your throat and make you feel like you cant swallow? Poor M having to have gone through that so many times...
Anyway, im off to get dressed because MIL will be here soon to watch kids while i head down to the docs (again, 3rd time in 2 days).
Have a good day ladies and babies!

Lana gee you and Griff are realy in the wars at the moment! Owen took two weeks and 2 lots of antibiotics to get rid of his ear infection hopefully griff's ears clear up quickly! Oh and nice guess but my name is not Erin (hehe) it's Gemma:)
Mel congrats on selling the house.. wow it's moving along really quickly you must be so excited to buy a new one!!
Carrie Ella looked just adorable in her winning photo, I love her rolls!! Owen loves banana, orange adn grapes in his mesh dummy. Have you tried the greenkids nappies? these are my favourites.
Hollie you take the best photos! the one of Monty and your dad is beautiful!
Question: how do I know if Owen has had an allergic reaction to a new food? What should I be looking out for?
He spewed today after having baby custard the type you mix yourself and he was gagging while he was eating it. He never spews would this be becuase he was allergic to it? Sorry for the dumb questions but I have no idea! :o
Sunflower (or Gemma, but I like writing your username, so Spring-like!)- a super cautious way to test them out is to touch the new food to their lip the first day, and if no colour change or swelling occurs then give them half a teaspoon the next day, and gradually build up from there. That's more important for the allergy worries like egg and stuff, but I can see myself doing it for all foods :o
Defaipe- phew, so glad she came through OK, poor chicken, she's nearly through the worst of it now, and how great will it be next Winter not having to worry about her getting sick! THe pram sounds great, looking forward to a pic
Carrie-that night nappy sounds awesome! So that's the Sandman? Very cool.
The shakes sound like they're doing good things for you, I hope they help with the tummy... mine is still yuck... I look pregnant!
With the soakers and stuff, there are lots and lots of lovely WAHMs who make them for such a small price, you'll be sure to find some wonderful ones!
Lana- you poor thing! It does sound a bit like tonsilitis, the pus lumps on the tonsils are a fair indicator in my experience :barf:
I hope not though :hugs:
Movie was fantastic!!! Only 3 of us showed up, but the 2 others I get along great with so that was fine. John Travolta is so fabulous in it, I nearly cried with laughter a few times! As you can imagine, my little stampy jumpy man spent nearly the whole time on my lap, staring at the screen, and dancing in the songs, LOL, he looked so cute! He stopped for a quick snack, then jumped up again.
Nasty bit though: I put him in his pram to change his nappy as bogans kept pushing me out of the way in the baby room, and suddenly he started screaming! I thought he was just upset at being cramped, but when I picked him up my friend noticed bumps on his head... he was covered in bites! Poor little man must have had his head on an angry ant (I searched the pram but couldn't find anything, but we do occasionally have ants here) and had been bitten 7 times. Heartbreaking to think he was being bitten and I didn't rescue him. LUckily my friend is a nurse so that was reassuring, and they have gone down now so no nasty reaction (I am allergic to ant bites).
Nic-sorry, I didn't mean to gloss over the sadder part of your post, I'm sorry to hear you are having some tough times. I hope you can work through it! It's amazing how much pressure is put on us once we have another little person in the mix.
Oh, and for the smokers... I feel your pain! I was able to avoid the craving long enough (telling myself that even 1 ciggy would undo all my hard work) long enough to break the habit... or rather transfer it, to a food addiction. Not nice. But socially more acceptable, LOL, I hope you can get the strength to stop!

NEMOSMUM: You and your mum are both so talented, the little dresses are so cute!!! Little Iris will be the talk of the town in her beautiful dresses. Is the dress you made reversible?
nemosmum
20-09-2007, 18:47
yep that was my mums idea to make it more versatile:yes:
I am so thrilled with the zebra one its going to look so HOT on Iris:yelclap:
Sarah - What a clever mum you have - the two dresses look great and of course, Iris will just look a complete picture in them... She's so beautiful!
Sorry to hear about your mums accident - but glad she is ok.... Still would have given her a terrible fright though.
Gemma - hope you can work with owen and his food. If there doesn't appear to be a reaction as such - he may just HATE the taste of custurd... It is hard to know isn't it - and once it happens, you're then a little anxious when trying anything new... Hope he's doing ok though and not :barf: anymore.
Lana - hope the tonsills are feeling a little better. Sounds pretty bad with the white lumps and all.... EEEUUUWWWW....
Gin - glad you and Kes had a good time at the movies, but sorry to hear about the nasty bites on his head... Poor little man... Hope he's doing ok tonight.
Well, had 2 inspections today 1 after the other. The first was the final for the recent reno's we've done... I had a COMPLETE MOMENT - lost it completely as the certifier has a problem with the builder and was just being difficult - which doesn't help me when i've sold the place. So I said 1 interesting 4 letter word - he was in shock I think (as usually everyone is up their backsides to make sure their house gets clearance).... Once I said "$%(*%^($^%.... and I am just stuck in the middle of this barney with you and the builder... (Whilst they were there, we're good friends though) and I walked down the hallway so I would shutup... He said "Well, if you're going to be like that, then I'll leave" I said "I don't give a bugger what you do!"....... I honestly don't think he's ever had anyone say that!! ha ha ha.... Jerk.... So, after all that - it got passed and so did the building and pest... So really, there is nothing more needed doing apart from one minor request on the rendering.....
:smiliedance:
So, busy weekend of looking about on the weekend. My mum comes down tomorrow till sunday - so that'll be nice to have some time with her.
Ellery's in bed - had a moment this afternoon with her teeth but she went down to sleep really easily which is the main thing....
PICTURE TIME
Just some latest of Miss Ellery

Mel - Hehehe i think you shocked the guy into pulling his head out of his @ss! Good luck house hunting this weekend. The pics of Ellery are great, she has such a warm, happy smile.
Sunflower - oopsy :o I know that there is someone on here called Erin!
Well i feel like absolute sh!t. I had to ring Sam today and ask him to come home so that i could rest. My throat is so sore, it hurts just to swallow! Hopefully Mine and Griff's antibiotics will kick in soon and we will all get rid of this conjunctivitis (yep, Griff has it too now)
lana i hope you're feeling better soon!
M had panadol this morning but other than that she's had nothing all day.. still hasnt complained.. and is eating normally.. she's such a trooper!
just incase i've confused anyway.. im shezi under a new nick. they're going to merge both accounts for me soon.. its a long story, i just wont be using the girls names on here anymore or posting pics.
sarah the dresses are gorgeous! i can see where you got your talent from  how scary about your mums accident.

I'M SCARED - Did something bad happen? I am such a worrier when it comes to internet security. I hope all is ok...btw you did trick me hehe I didn't know who you were til you mentioned it :o
 Defaipe - hope all is ok... Glad M is doing well poor little chicken.
Lana - sounds like both you and Griff are having a bad time at the moment. Hope you are both feeling better real soon.... I guess, apart from the antibiotics - rest is the best thing you can do....
Regarding the house - thankfully, I am glad yesterday is over. Just chasing up the renderer to get some V-joint put in the new stuff.... It has been cleared (the house) pending that being done, but shouldn't be a big thing (hope not anyway)... So, DP and I gave a huge sigh of relief last night. The real estate agent we went thru for the sale is going to help us out with looking for new places. He'll get onto other agents he knows in the areas we're thinking about and save us a bit of rushing around.... I've tee'd up my sister in case we need a place to stay... Could be over xmas - busy time - but that is when prices sky rocket here on the coast, and urgent rentals for small amounts of time are short in avaliability - and you pay massive $$'s/week.... So, it could be a bit cramped - but it is bigger than mums house. She is looking forward to it (might change her mind after a week if it were to happen) but we'll deal with that if/when it happens. DP and I just need some sort of plan in place, as we have a feeling the buyer may ask to bring settlement forward and for many reasons, it would be good if we could do it too...
So, wait and see i suppose.:yelclap:
Ellery was awake early today - we're thinking she may be hungry. I gave her a bottle at 5.15am (usually it is at 6.15am) and put her back to bed. I think she's asleep. I'll give her some solids when she wakes. She was also suking inher lips and chomping her gums - so i think those toothies are playing up a bit too.
My mum is coming down today - probably arrive about 9am or there abouts. Looking forward to seeing her and she can't wait to see Ellery....
The weather has been great - but there were a few fires in the hills and it was rather smokey, and windy, yesterday afternoon... Set my allergies off a bit - so hoping they don't worsen... I am over a runny/blocked nose.
Have a good day all....

Hey girls!
DH ended up staying home cos his lift never turned up as didn't get the msg til too late ... although he picks him up every Tues and meant to on Fridays now as we have swimming & I just take him Thursdays. So ge gets to come swimming! He's annoying me a bit already though ROFL.
After swimming we'll come home to feed E & let her nap then I gotta go to the shops to get my Guess bag off laybuy as it was due yesterday, and get the heaps of things Dave didn't buy at shopping last night (deoderant, body wash, pads, ella's toilettries). Otherwise I'll stink for a week! BUT he managed ot buy things we didn't need as I can't eat such as CHOCOLATE!
Yesterday my friend came here first & we walked up to where MG was meeting for lunch & ran into another one walking on the way. We all agreed it was the best meal we'd had in a looong time! It is called Botanix and has been on tv etc. It's a nursery/shop/cafe. Then we walked the opposite way home through the park. My legs were sore lol.
LANA - I hope you are feeling better today.
DEFAIPE - Welcome (back)! I am intrigued as to how you came up with that username? Glad M's opp went well. Can't wait for a pic of the new pram!
Ok I gtg. Have a lovely day ;)

Hello everybody
Not much planned today just some shopping dammit gosh someones gotta do it hehe going to buy a new highchair and get my layby from target yeah....
I spent most of last night upgrading my internet security fun fun fun gosh it took forever!!!
I also bought 2 more nappies from cotton bottoms this time i'm trying fitted's with a booster. I still have to get some sort of night time set up any suggestions would be great!!!!
Also bidding on a few nappies on ebay, I haven't bought anything from there before so that will be interesting.
Sarah LUUUUUUVVVVV that little funky punky dress, I bet you will get lots of comments when Iris has that one on.
Carrie Jealous Guess bag - Nice show us some piccies, I've retired all my handbags til we are over the nappy bag stage. I do miss them (yes them)
Mel I was wondering the other day how it works when you sell your house and have so many days settlement and in that time you have to buy another house and then that has settlement time aswell. I thought what happens if the new house settlement is 120 days aswell or shorter, there might be a gap of time between houses iykwim lucky your sister can help you out if that happens.
Hope you have a nice time with your mum, I just spoke to my mum this morning. She's moving up here from Forster at the end of the year but she wants to come up earlier... she'll be staying with my brother til she gets set up, he just lives 5 mins away...
Defaipe Is that what you want us to call you??? Don't you just love buying a new pram...Hope your toddler seat fits, they are all a pretty standard size aren't they?? Shouldn't be a prob....
Lana Did you get the rest you needed when Sam came home early?? Hope you are feeling better and Griff aswell. Is it an old wifes tale about boobie milk in your eyes helps conjunctivitis (sp)??????
OK gtg this darn computer I should be getting ready while Noah is having his morning nap but NO im still on here ahhhhhhhh I just keep typing
STOP !!!!
Nooooooooooo
GOTTA GO !!!!
BUT WAIT ::::
No really gtg :D :D
defaipe! HELLO!!!! missed ya! good to hear the op went well.
and Harps won't roll after that one day weeks ago. i actually asked the doc (paranoid first time mum) but she said he is so strong in his legs and back and neck so not to worry, that he will most likely crawl from sitting and skip rolling.
Sarah super trendy punk dress, i love it. some days i really want a girl!
is your ma ok?
Carrie oh don't get me wrong, i had no problems with the peapods, no leaks or anything. i'm just thinking long-term that the elastic might go sooner or whatever. i used the trifold insert with a microfibre booster and they were good for ages. i agree with Gemma, greenkids are also very good and heaps of funky and pretty prints.
the baby beehinds, yep i put a booster between nappy and cover.
i copped a money lecture the other day coz blueberry diapers in the US had a sale on  i bought large tho! for the future... hehe. Al says LAST ORDER and GO SEW THEM!!!
Lana hope you're ok? guess i won't come see ya today then! hope you can have a nice rest on your kid-free day...
Mel hope you can get the house stuff all sorted and over with soon, i hate all that stuffing around and packing and cleaning... yuck. lovely photos too, she is so happy, smiley and gorgeous in the second one :)
well, Harper must be feeling better now the tooth is poking out. i had about 6 nights of him waking every 2 hours, it was doing my head in! but last night it was 12 and 5 and he's still asleep now. i might have to get him up coz we need to take the cat to the vet for another glucose test (cha ching visa card ouchies$$$) at 8.30
Al has gone to play golf with my brother as it was Cerin's birthday yesterday. he went to cirque du soleil and bought Harps the rattle that Al wouldnt let me buy coz it was a rip-off :D nice uncle/brother!
we finally got a highchair! the peg perego ones were sooo nice but we couldnt spend that much so we got this one (http://www.babiesgalore.com.au/view_product_new.php?productid=1325&returnUrl2=%2Fshow_product_search.php%3Fstart%3D67 2)but in a tan colour. he seemed to like it, we gave him dinner then he sat in there with some toys while we ate etc. i am hoping it will be a good way to keep him amused while i get some housework done.
we also turned the carseat around yesterday, it is SOO much easier now. and he loves it, we had our windows open and the wind was blowing on him - he was smiling and kicking and wasving his hands. he's a real outdoors kid, loves trees and wind etc.
WEIGHT LOSS well i am back at my preg-preg weight but i have the yucky wobbly belly too :( i bought some jeans which have a higher waist so they kinda hold it in but they're not as comfy as my other jeans.
sorry for the essay, ladies! :ecomcity: hope everyone has a great day, the sun is out here so i'm in a good mood!
Welcome back Defaipe! WOW, it sounds like M is doing really well after her op, that's really good to hear. The new pram sounds great too! I don't like mine, but we hardly use it so I can't get a new one. I am looking forward to buying a stroller, what age do they need to be to get one?
Sarah, the dresses are so cool! Iris is going to look so cute in them. Your mum is so talented! Can't wait to see her wearing them.
Lana, I hope you and Griff are feeling better soon. It's not good at all been sick, especially when it keeps passing around the whole family. That's what happens with us too. Hope you are having a lovely day off work today.
BG, poor K, that's no good that he got bitten on his head. Is he ok now?
LT, Yes Madi is in day care and absolutely loves it. At first it was really hard dropping her off but she adapted in no time. She enjoys all the attention and cause she is sitting now she enjoys playing on the floor with the other bubs. I love the pic of your dad and Monty, Monty looks so happy!
LL, I love your highchair, it looks really good. How much does Harper weigh now? I want to turn our carseat around but Madi only weighs 7.4kg but it is pulling herself up and hating the carseat at the moment.
Mel, sounds like you are really busy at the moment with all the house stuff. We live in Upper Coomera, so come up our way then the girls can hang out. Have fun this weekend with your mum visiting.
Kel, have fun shopping today! What highchair are you getting? I want one now too after seeing LL's highchair. Where abouts on the southside do you live?
All birssy and gold coast girls, what would you say to arranging a meet? I have meet the gorgeous Ella and Carrie but it would be good to meet up now the bubs are more interested in play time.
**** I have to get back to work, everyone is wanting something done and I am running behind!
Oh by the way - DH and I are talking again. I stayed at my mums house Wednesday and last night so haven't seen him but going home tonight after work to sort everything out, but things are sounding good.
I just have a question about solids, is this right for a 6 month old, cause Madi eats alot of food now:
How much food is your bub eating. This is Madi's meal plan for the day -
Breakfast - Madi eats a whole tub of the baby Vaalia yoghurt or half a banana
Lunch - a whole jar of Heinz Organic Veges + one small ice cube of green veges mixed together
Afternoon Tea - 2 grapes or a piece of apple in the mesh dummy or half a banana
Plus she munches on a teething rusk
Only having 3 bottles a day too. I think she just prefers to eat now, she loves her food and eats very well. She never did too well with her bottles, only drinking around 100ml at each feed, such a little feeder. But I am happy that she eats all her dinner. I also found she sleeps so good on this meal plan too.
Any other bubs eating 3 meals a day?

Nic - Before Griff got sick he had just started eating 3 meals a day and i couldnt get it into his mouth fast enough! If i took too long he would start to whinge lol.
Thanks heaps for all the well wishes girls... I am going to go have a lay down in a second and just have a really easy day.
Michaela - Yeah i dont think visiting while im so sick is a good idea lol, the last thing you want is for Harper or you to get sick as well. Once im better we will though ok. The high chair looks great and yay for turning his car seat around. It is sooo much easier hey!
Mel - Gee you're going to have a really full on couple of months arent you... Good luck with it all.
Ok i have no kiddies here so i am off to have a nap. I hope you all have a great day and i will try and pop on again tonight ( i dont want to get too behind!)

I feed my bubs about the same amount as you do, we have been a bit out of routine lately since being in Perth & she has only had 2 meals somedays. My bub however still has alot more feeds of boobie milk & a bottle at night about 7pm of 220mls approx. She will then continue to still have boobie milk after that. I'm surprised she is not HUGE with the amount she eats.
I started giving those baby yogurts too, the banana flavour ones, she really loves them.

Hiya. Just catching up on all the posts (8+pages)...
I caught a vomiting and diarrhoea bug on Wed arvo... it only lasted 24 hrs but really knocked me about.
Thankfully DH got home Tues PM but also left this arvo so our whole time together was dealing with me sick  . That said I don't know what i would have done if it had struck when he was away.
Thankfully the rest of the family seems to have avoided it so far.... :fingerscrossed:
Was not a good second week back at work though I only work Tues and Thurs..,.. had to leave lunch time on tues to pick up matthew who has a case of Conjunctivitis. Then had to call in sick on Thurs! Hate doing that!
Anyway back to the posts....
sorry girls i didnt mean to freak anyone out. theres no need for anyone to stress, its personal reasons so i cant really go into it. sorry. but definitely dont stress. i love bubhub :D i will still share pics of A from time to time.
Sharon thats terrible about the bug.. was it food poisoning?? seems weird that no-one else caught it.. gastro is spread so easily.. yuck!
sorry gtg.. D thought it'd be fun to poo in her knickers then take them off on the carpet!

Yes - we got one for Ryan for his birthday. It is not huge but that said its big enough for him for a long weekend. About the size of a domestic carry-on bag. Was a great hit at the airport with him either riding it or being towed along!

21-09-2007, 21:09
Defaipe - no don't think it was food poisening coz I'd only eaten cereal then a cheese sandwich for lunch. Both kids did have a small case of the runs so maybe it just hit me harder - I am a bit rundown at the moment so it is possible.
Secret Santa - Matt will definately be a size 0 by Christmas... he is already growing out of some of his 00s. OMG they are growing so quick aren't they! What happened to our little newborns?
Just a quick one- Sarah, that princess of yours makes me want a daughter! LOL, she is such a sweety, can't wait to see her in that hot punk dress either! Glad your Mum is OK, car accidents are such frightening things!
Lana- I hope you're better soon mate, is Sam being lovely and taking care of you? (I imagine he'd be great, he sounds like a wonderful guy)
A quick note on solids (going by my MCHN only as we haven't started them ourselves), I think the thing to remember is that until they're a little older (8months-1year) it's more about learning and exploring, and preparing the tummy (and iron!). I think that's why they say to offer the bottle/boob first, as they still need all those extra nutrients from their milk :)
Sharon- hope you're back to your old self now, that sounds like a hideous bout of sickness you had!
Hey Hollie, you must be super busy at the moment, have you had a chance to start on your Swap nappy? I have the wool for mine, but haven't started it!
Kel-you crack me up
Thanks everyone for your concern regarding Kes being bitten, all the bumps have disapeared finally, and he seems fine! Yay! We had a quiet day here today, my Mum came to help me build a fence, and I baked cinamon scrolls, yummo!
Well, what a fancy new website we have here! I thought I'd pressed the wrong buttone at first. Have to learn my way around again....
All is good this end. We went for a smallish drive up the north end of the coast looking at some areas, but today will be more serious. Haven't seen anything we LOVE yet - so hoping we have some more success today.
Kel - with regard to the selling/buying/moving - and the timing. That is the biggest pain - hence we've chatted to my sis and organised (in case) a place to stay. It's very difficult to get the dates to settle exactly right and living on the coast - cost of short-term rentals is completely ridiculous (for a basic place, if you can find one, you can pay as much as $1,000 for a grubby unit)... We could make a holiday of it - but the $$ spent is just not worth it...
My mum got down no worries - she had a great time with Ellery yesterday... We went for a walk to the shop and had a coffee then DP got home and we ventured out for a while. She was pretty good yesterday - but still sucking in her lips and rubbing her little mouth. No sign of teeth yet though.....:(
Sarah - Iris just looks too cute in the tutu.... She's adorable.
Defaipe - glad things are ok.. was a little worried. Glad to see you back on here chatting though....
Sharon- have noted Matthews size... He is around Ellery's - but I thought getting a 1 for her would be better for summer - so she's a bit chubbier than your little man....
Glad you're feeing better - those tummy bugs can be super nasty and drain you of all your energy.
Having read what others feed their bubs - I might not be giving E enough. She loves her food and I only give her 2 meals a day, maybe I should try 3 and see how she likes it? She hasn't complained, but also - hasn't been sleeping through the night as well as usual. Will give it a go.

Hi girls:wave:
Hope everyone is well and all bubs had a gd nights sleep:)
solids......the CHN said my milk must be A grade hahaha coz Iris is such a big girl and is only on apple/pear puree and booby juice
BUT I think they say that to all the booby feeding mummies to sorta give them a pat on the back and say keep going hahaha
which I am of course....no plans to stop for a long while yet
Defaipe...Sam emailed me saying you purchased a baby tutu for A which colour did you get???:yelclap:

A's still not on solids.. still hasnt rolled again.. not sitting.. not doing anything really :laughing:she does say dada & mummm. im not worried. they grow up too fast.

defaipe - hehe A will look divine in her tutu! At least it will arrive for the girls' party!
Mel - Hope the weather is nice there for you while you are looking at houses... have you seen an with potential yet?
I am feel a lot better today. My throat is still sore but a LOT more bearable and my eye isnt anywhere near as gunky or red. Lol Sam is home from work today though because he was up vomiting all night, looks like its his turn now!
Hi girls!
Long time no hear. Lifes been a bit hectic to say the least and telstra did a big upgrade and left us without network for several days  . Going to make a big effort to keep up this week though as things should be quietening down for a couple of weeks....... then it all starts up again with the arrival of my mother, our NZ trip and then my father and his partner arriving for a visit - finally ending mid November just in time to panic about Xmas.
Ok, so whats been happening?
Let see.........
My little man turned 3 last week. His grandpa is visiting at the moment - leaving tomorrow. We had a little party with his friends and the weather man put on a beautiful day so it was fantastic. So much planning for such a small event though not to mention the cost!
Leah turned 6 months the same week. Two big milestones in such a short period of time. Very hard on a mummy.
O/seas visitors coming out our ears. Sams also had a bit of illness and Ive had a tummy bug and cold myself. Leah got her first cold in the past couple of weeks too. Nothing major though thankfully, just runny nose.
Works been frantically busy. Have two clients ready to pop and one is rather demanding on my time. Been making some weighty decisions about my work as I feel Im sacrificing too much of my family to cater for the oncall and unpredictability of births. Still undecided if Im going to do nursing next year and start on the track to midwifery or wait till after #3. Decisions decisions.
Leah is still not sleeping through. :hair: Child is driving me crazy. Some nights aren't too bad - others pretty shocking. Cant see an end insight without putting my foot down really hard and dont have the energy to do it - real catch 22 but think Im going to have to do something soon as there is no end in sight. All in all though, shes a very happy smiley bub......... compared to her 3 year old brother. Who ever said "terrible twos" never had a 3 year old! We went to get some photos done this morning as we had some done with the same woman when Sam was Leahs age and he refused to smile and pressed his head to the floor the whole hour. Annoyed now but will laugh about it in years to come I guess. At least he has his own will I guess.
Sams also been toilet training. Been really successful with it too.
So thats about all thats going on with me.
As I said, will endeavour to catch up with everyones going ons in the following week as planning on taking it a bit easy.
Hope you are all well and those babies are making you smile.

Welcome Back Anna! Happy belated Birthday to Sam!
You poor thing i cant believe Leah is still not sleeping for you :hair: Well to Sam on his TT as well. Im really holding off on Amity until it is a bit warmer here so that she can just run around in knickers (less washing for me!)
defaipe - I hope your brother is ok and nothing happens... Hopefully they will seek help and sort some of their issues out before someone gets hurt.
I am trying to sort out my flights and accommodation for when im in Sydney and Melbourne... It is so hard to know where to stay when you have never been there before though! Any suggestions?

I wrote this before lunch time however I was disconnected & didn't bother reconnecting:
Good morning!
DEFAIPE - I realised in the middle of the night how you came up with that nickname!
Well MIL was meant to come over today, around lunch or so - about 1pm ish I guess. Anyway, she rings about 8pm & tells Dave they're coming at 11am since he's not working. So I got all cut up cos I have been feeling run down, Ella's not sleeping well, Ella was sick last night with a cold & eventually went to sleep on me on the lounge (must've been sick as she never relaxes and goes to sleep on me anymore) & I had planned to go back to bed in the morning after Ella has her 5.45am bottle. Then I was gonna do my cleaning, vacuum, mop, do washing, ironing etc so not in a rush but then as usual she changes her plans when we have planned the day around her!
So this morning I get up with E at 5.30, closed the blinds in the lounge to trick her, fed her & put her back down and she didn't even complain, and let me sleep until 7.30! So I rushed around doing a good clean and literally as soon as I'd finished (I was putting the Mr Sheen & Windex back under the sink) she called saying step-FIL has a sore leg so they're going to the dr's, thought she'd ring now & let me know so we could go out or do something else! At least my cleaning's done! When dh got up I did our room then did the floors.
I wanna do something today but don't know what as we're broke and can't think of anything plus Ella is still not herself - she is cuddling up to me here thats how I know lol.
Ella likes the mesh thing - she had banana for brekky in it yesterday, strawberries today.
Not liking this new BH look as it's too wide for my screen so changed the resolution but now every thing's tiny & I am getting a headache!
KELLIE - Yes I am lurving my new bag! I have never had a nice exy one before! I never planned on using one with the nappy bag either but it is easier than digging around in it for my purse or phone or lip gloss! Lol.
Also with the gap in settlements (I did conveyancing lol) most contracts are 30 days, you can usually get extensions with good reason if something happens or if Mel finds a house at least 30 days prior to the settlement there wouldn't be a prob. Some are unconditional 7 day contracts so it can be done.
MICHAELA - Dave took an RDO yesterday & I had said I may be getting a fluffy mail soon from LT and we got home from swimming & there was an express post pack from DD on the doorstep! I thought there was a 2-3 week wait on bumgenius so wasn't expecting it! I opened them & he was calling me a liar as I said I was getting 1 swim nappy! I said I never lied then he saw the invoice & was sh!tty I spent $67 on 2 nappies! I LUV the berry plush. The turquoise is a lovely colour! I GET MY BEEHINDS ON MONDAY!!!!!!! *HAPPY DANCE*
When I get those I will have enough to do full time.
But I can always get more ROFL!
NIC - Do you wanna come to the BH meet Mummy to Mason & I are organising for MONDAY 8 OCTOBER? PM me & I will give you the details.
All other local gals do you wanna come? PM me if you do. Hope you can! I have met Matthew, Cooper and Madi & would love to see how much they have grown!
Also NIC, Ella is only eating a main meal at 4pm (ish) of vegies or cereal & fruit and last 2 days I have given her fruit in the mesh dummy thingy for breakfast. I say do what Madi wants!
__________________________________________________ ________________________
6.08pm:
ANNA - HELLOOO!!!! Welcome back! Hope you can stick around for a bit, we've missed u! Sounds like you have had a very busy time. I hope that you can get Leah to sleep through sooner rather than later, for your own sanity! Is she still dummy-less? Your work sounds like it is going very well and keeps you on your toes. I bet it is very satisfying though, seeing all those beautiful babies being born & being a part of it.
DEFAIPE - I can't believe your brother has gone after her after what she did to him and their kids. How many kids do they have? I really hope he can help her get help.
Ella has just gone to bed. She has taken to screaming when she goes down at night & eventually I get her up again because she is so upset. I think it's a combo of her teeth & that she has a bit of a cold the last couple of days.
I think it's also because ever since last Sunday when Dave dropped me off at the shops (only for about 1.5 hrs) and went to mum's she was sooo upset and maybe thinks I am leaving her again. It's sorta nice to have a mummy's girl but it can get annoying with the constant whining. But I love her sooo much ...
Oh - Yesterday we applied for a loan so fingers crossed we get it! I paid one of Dh's debts which we had on the credit file as $1000 but it was now $1300!! The other debt was about $900 but we haven't paid that as the credit file says it'll be wiped from there on 20/09/07 so hopefully it won't effect anything as they'll call Baycorp not the company iykwim. We said we wanted $10-$12k but she said she had to put an amount down so after working out the repayments we went with $12k because you can buy heaps nicer cars for even $10500 plus we can use the extra for rego & insurance and either use the rest or put it straight back on the loan. For some reason I think we're not gonna get it, I feel like we'll never get a loan and therefore never get a new car & I worry about Ella and our safety in mine now.
Ok sorry this is soooo long. It is 2 posts together though!
Have a good night everyone!
PS I changed the font size and kept the resolution small and it seems heaps better now! I can actually read the text!

Hey guys (well girls but u know what I mean ...)
What's your opinion on this very important issue (lol):
http://www.bubhub.com.au/community/forums/showthread.php?t=123451
carrie made me laugh how you said you realised the nick in the middle of the night lol. hey is there any chance of your parents going guarantor for the loan? i cant wait to get a new car too.. nothing wrong with this one just sick of spending $720 a month in repayments & insurance! what a waste! im trying to get dp to sell everything lately lol
thats hilarious that you were sprung with the mail lol. damn mail man!! your man shouldnt whinge.. $67 is only 2 boxes of disposables and you wont need to buy them again ever! you're saving money.
hmm yeah with my brother theres more to it i guess.. he has things he needs to deal with too. on top of them both needing anger management. oh and carrie.. he has 1 son to an ex who lives with his ex's aunty(longer story but he's happy so thats all that matters) then his now gf has a 3yr old from a previous relationship but she knows my brother as daddy and then they have one daughter together. so 3 all up but only 2 live with them.
oh and A finally ate some baby food. not looking forward to tomorrows nappy! it was the chicken & sweetcorn jar.. gross. i can barely stomach the smell as this was D's fave but i was suffering with m/s with A while feeding D.. it brings back memories :barf:

Gin - I am in Melbourne from 30 Sept - 2 Oct... Thanks for the PM. That map is great! I just need to get some more paper so that i can print it out now lol. I managed to get a place to stay nice and central. How far away are you?
Sydney gals - I know how hard it has been for you to all make the one meet BUT i was wondering if there is a day within 3rd Oct and 9th Oct (i leave first thing on the 9th) that we could all meet up? I would love to meet you all!
Where abouts are you all?? You can PM me if you prefer. I will be in Castle Hill. Hope you guys know where that is cos i sure as hell dont! My Aunty said its really easy to get into the city though so that ok. Apparently there is a bus stop pretty much on their door step.
Carrie - Re Dave having a go at you for spending the money on mcn's just say "You can thank me in 6 months when i have saved this household $__ Mr Tight@ss!"
How annoying of your MIL to chop and change her mind like that. I would be mega ****ed.

Me Me Me Me Me Me
Had a nice day today, went bed shopping for Elijah. He had this king single base and mattress that basically was to big for his room so I wanted to get a single bed. We ended up half the day at Ikea Valentine We chose this bed that has a open section underneath for toy boxes or a bookcase. Kind of like a bunk but with no bed down the bottom and nowhere near as high as a standard bunk....We then spent the other half of the day putting the darn thing together?????? FUN (not)
We were supposed to go to MIL's for dinner tonight but getting close to the time we were to leave we had a storm so I rang and said we didn't really want to come out in the rain. MIL is pretty easy going so it was no trouble, then the rain stops and I ring her back up and say do you still want us to come or just to call in if you already had dinner. She said how about you and I go to the pokies.....I know it sound daggy to go out with the MIL but we actually get on really well, even better than my own mum (most of the time) anyway Love them or Hate them pokies here we come......so ended the night $100 Dollars down (dammit) and she broke even (so she says:no: ) but we did have fun and we don't do it that often and had a nice midori and lemonade mmmmmmmm
Now that I think about it I could of bought 3 or 4 nappies for that much Dohhhhh OH well
News about my shopping tour, it turns out it on the same day as my friends wedding so you can obviously guess which one i'm going to...........yep shopping tour  nahhhh just kidding, her wedding is on South Stradbroke Island NICE we catch a katamarang over to the island Very exciting hope the weather is absolutely lovely for the day. And of course no kiddies woohooo, they are welcome but mummy and daddy need alone time toooooo ;)
Tomorrow which is today??? we are having a bbq for DH's brothers b'day at the park across the road from BIL house. He lives at Hope Island so for those who don't know it's right on the water so that should be nice weather permitting
klafqipevoqojfvkmkjnvf   Time for bed I just nodded off while typing hahahaha

Kel~~ aww have fun at your BBQ today it sounds perfect....the only water im seeing today is the local pool when O has his swim lesson:rolleyes:

Lana - Castle Hill!!!! Thats where I live. I'll definitely meet up  . My mum arrives from NZ on the 9th so we are free as birds till then. If anyone else wants to come on out you are welcome at my place.
defiape - with the poo thing - I bribed him with Kinda Hippos. :D Very yummy and it worked! Now I just gotta get him used to going toilet while out and about. Sorry to hear about your brother. Sounds crappy.
Carrie - sorry to hear Ellas been off colour. She was dummy-less for many weeks but then Sam got really sick and woke her in the night and the dummy would put her back to sleep quickly and then she got sick and it helped her breath so alas, no, she isn't dummyless at the moment. Time to work on that one again but Im half wondering if I should just start unwrapping her and putting them around the cot and see if she will find them herself.:detective:

Good morning!
Lana - I am jealous you get to meet Gin, Anna, Sarah and everyone else. Actually, and also u are going on a holiday! LOL. Make sure you take loads of pics of all you girls & of course the gorgeous piglets.
Defaipe - (I nearly wrote ur 'aka' woops!) well anyway Dave soon forgot about the nappies after I was saying it's not a waste of money & trying to convince him to try for #2 at the end of the yr. I am trying to convince him by saying:
1. They can share the mcn's cos all are one size except berry plush & the beehinds covers.
2. Ella will be on cow's milk so if ff we only need one lot of formula not 2.
3. Hopefully I'll be able to breastfeed for 6 mths.
4. We have tried things out with Ella & know what works & what doesn't.
5. We have a stash of dummies so don't need more.
6. We have a changetable & cot, we'll just have to buy doubles kit for the pram & a new mattress for my old single bed (it has 2 mattresses that have been thrown out but 1 keeps it low to the ground) & add a rail.
7. If it's a boy we don't have to paint the other bedroom, just touch it up because it's already blue LOL.
8. If it's a girl we don't need new clothes!
AND ... 9. If we get prg next mth we can see the ob at 12 weeks, pay the fees (gone up to $2000+) and get it all back as we are on the safety net. ROFLMAO!
Unfortunately, as convincing as I thought my argument sounded Dave said I need a 'donor' :(
KELLIE - How good was that heavy rain? Too bad it didn't last long. Glad you had a good night I couldn't imagine being alone & going anywhere with my MIL! Wish I had a nice one like yours ...
MEL - No early morning post from you today? Have you been looking at houses?
ANNA - Wow I can't believe Leah is still being wrapped, E didn't like being wrapped & pretty much haven't wrapped her from about 4 weeks old when in the cot, only if quite cold. None of her wraps fit anymore cos I tried to settle her by wrapping the other day but she wouldn't have a bar of it! I miss my baby bundle *boohoo*.
Still on Optifast. Yesterday & today while DH home having lunch instead of dinner for my 1 meal. So much better cos I am starving by lunch & it fills me up so never feel like anything for dinner. Back to dinners tomorrow though when dh is at work.
Off to SIL's this afternoon as we haven't caught up for ages. I am so very tired from being online chatting on MSN all night. Ella work screaming at 3.30am & I ended up giving her a bottle so she'd sleep in LOL. She slept til 7.40!
Ok better get going.

If she breaks free sometimes she starts pulling her hair (YES she has a hair fetish already....:hair: hahahaha) and tries to pull her ears off too
I had to give her 1ml of phenergen for her allergies yesterday after speaking with O's allergy speacialist on the phone and it looks like she has a slight case of rhinitis like O
she seemed heaps better after i gave it to her so :fingerscrossed: it works
O had a ball at swim class...he loves it!
I would love to take Iris to a mummy and me class on sat. (when O is at his dads) BUT I dont trust the cholrine and her allergies....might take her to my dads in summer instead

Anna great to hear from you. life sounds hectic! Harper's still up twice a night too, only for a few mins tho, thank god. and his saving grace is he sleeps in til 8.30 nearly every day! (Mummy loves that, not a morning person here...)
Carrie LOVE the 4runner, we want to get similar or the hilux surf next year. i convinced Al that was way better than a ute like he wanted.
so when do you want to get pregnant? soon?! i want to try from december. yay little newborn nappies HAHA! and hopefully we can be preggo mummies together again. i don't want to be a march mum again, it was wayyy too freakin hot last summer!
Kel we don't have many pokies here but i think they're fun! love how you're thinking in terms of how many mcns you could buy now!! everyone is turning into nappy addicts, woo hoo :D
Hollie how did Monty go with the yoghurt? is he ok with dairy? weren't you scared to get it on your skin?
i'm sh!tty with Al, i went out with H for the arvo and he was meant to clean up but he slept the whole time!! laze-o
we're going out for dinner soon with bro, his gf, our stepmum, and our cousin and her hubby. italian mmmmmm
the thing i went to today was a ~Mystic Party~ i had my tarot done which was interesting. i bought some incense and oils and those ear candle things. the guys were laughing about the "hippy party" its all bit of fun!
anyway the tarot cards were pretty good, interesting advice. i don't know if i believe or not but i will look back in a couple of years and see if it was true!

Have decided we're wanting to buy in Coomera Waters - had a couple of houses we super liked yesterday, but having gone back today we're not too sure. So, we aren't in a hurry by any means - so just take out time. I am really tired though... Buzzing around all the time.... Ellery was a good girl though - she was super tired and grouchy tonight, but understandable. She's been a real little trouper....
You're right - that is why i haven't done my usual early morning post. E woke up about 5am today - but mum was here, so i took her into the spare room to lie with Nanna for a while.:smiliedance:
I have gone through the 4 pages of posts I had to catch up on.... LOTS OF CHATTER LADIES...
Kel - glad you had fun with your MIL playing the pokies. I don't do it often, but when i do i always enjoy it....
Carrie - hope the loan goes thru so you can get your nice, new car.!!
Michaela - sorry Al annoyed you this afternoon, but hope Italian Dinner was nice and made up for it (even a little bit...) :)
Sarah - hope the kids allergies don't worsen. Always hard when they are so young. I know i suffer with allergies and they can be quite debilitating at times - hope they're doin fine though.
Anna - Nice to know that Leah likes to be wrapped still, so does Ellery. I am trying to wean her off it - as summer is on its way, but I lie a light rug under her - then wrap her arms in and put the rug back under. Works 80% of the time, much cooler than a proper wrap.... If her arms are free - she will not sleep.....
Well, have to head off now. Very tired and need to do a few things.....

BG - thanks hun. Yeah pretty much feeling better now.
Lana - glad you are feeling better and i hope Sam is okay now too...
Anna - great to hear from you. Sounds like life is pretty hectic. Sorry to hear Leah is still not sleeping through. I have the same problem with matthew. I also really need to take a hard line but just don't have the energy. Good luck with your decisions re work and study. its always a hard juggle.
Carrie - have pm'd you re the 8 Oct meet.
Mel - good luck house hunting.
LL - Ooh Italian, YUM. How does H go when you go out? Is he usually up late anyway or does he just sleep like a doll in the pram?
Not much happening here - i really should be doing some work since i missed out on so much last week but just can't seem to knuckle down.

Hello
Had a lovely day at the bbq, lots of yummy food, nice weather, little bit windy but great for the kites. Kids loved them (& daddy tooo)
Nic About the high chair I haven't really looked properly at any yet...but I do know I want one with wheels cause we have tiles in the kitchen/living room.
I am at Crestmead which is just near Browns Plains. Gold coast-brissy meet sounds great!!! I'm in.....
Lana How you feeling? Are you getting better? Too bad Sam is sick too, but it is nice for your family to be sharing...haha You must be soooo excited to meet all the girls, have fun!!! Lindt cafe SOOOO JEALOUS.
Sarah Love the new aviator, Iris in her tutu, so cute!!!!!!!!!! Oh And Iris you are Australia's Next Top Model LOL (georgiamoo)hehe
Sharon Sorry to hear you were a bit sick this week, hopefully u r feeling better
Gin mmmmmmm yummy cinnamon scrolls
Anna Happy B'day for DS for the other day and Happy 6 mths to Leah aswell :) Congrats on the sucess with toilet training...it's fun isn't it.
Defaipe Too bad about your brother, I have one of those 'different' ones aswell. Gosh he's normal in every way except for his #$$@^ girlfriend...You would not believe the sh#t she has put him through OMG I will give you one example; she was pregnant with his or maybe not his baby (thats another story) he thought it was his the whole way through the pregnancy, so he had just moved up here and she lives 7 hours away. One day near the end of the pregnacy she TEXTED him and gave him the news that the baby (boy) had died during delivery and that she didn't want him down there to see her, that she was ok and her mum was there to help her. OMG as you can imagine my bro is heartbroken, in shock, devasted you name it...to cut this very long story short...she gave birth to a healthy baby girl two weeks prior and the reason we knew she was full of sh#t was because my cousin saw her down the street pushing a pram. She later went on to say that the baby in the pram was a baby she had just adopted from a friend 2 days after her baby had died. Also when my bro found out about the death we rang the hospital to find out what happened and spoke to a nurse who let it slip that the pyscho b#*ch had given birth 2 weeks before. Can you imagine my bro's reaction and all the emotions he (and we) went through that weekend AHHHHHHH This story goes on & on & on but I better stop now....
Mel Yeah I noticed too that bubhub had a makeover...I haven't really had a look around yet. Are you over house hunting yet???lol I bet having the net handy makes looking so much easier gosh I wish we used it when we were house hunting...I was nearly 8 months pregnant, in the middle of summer with swollen porky piglet feet. We settle one week before I was due...mind you he was 12 days late...
Carrie (just when I typed your name Rove said Carrie oohhoooo)
How did you go with the loan? Finger's crossed for you. Love the 4 runner surf. Paint work looks so shiny and no dints...Did u chose your new name yet? I liked BubbaElla and Carella  Good Luck trying for #2 How exciting....Yeah too bad the rain didn't last to long, but enough to make me panic and run out and get the towels and mcn's off the line.
Michaela Mystic Party Sounds like you had a nice time...I am not to keen on tarot readers, they make me nervous. I don't want to know the future especially if it's something made up...who knows hey, im sure a lot of people love them....dinner sounds yummy hope it was nice.
Sorry for the loooonnnggg post BUT you girls just talk too much LOL :D

Lana - were you asking about the trunki? Oneitem.com toddler has it up on sale at the moment for $10 off rrp.
Yep it was me! Yeah i saw them on there and thats why i was asking you about them... im still not sure though... I think i would rather be able to have a look at one in person first.
Kel - OMG! What a lunatic! You guys must have been so confused by the end of it all. Love the pics of the boys. Elijahs bed is very cool.
Michaela - OOh Italian hey, yummy! Bloody men! Has he apologised for this arvo yet??
Mel - I bet you guys are exhausted. At least you know you can take your time though which means you can wait for what you want not just 'right here, right now'.
Im getting all excited about my trip now hehehe BUT i have never been on a plane on my own before so i am also a little bit scared.... (god i sound like a wuss hey) Especially with the plane crashes that have been on the news lately... i know it is probably just me getting myself all worked up though... deep breaths lana.....
Hi. Back to early posts... E woke up about 3am and I was up to her 2-3 times, but she is settled again. I just had to tuck her in about 15 mins ago.
I am feeling a bit weary after our busy weekend looking at houses - it is exciting, but not easy with a 6 month old either. Thankfully Mum was down so she could sit in the car if E was tired and only got out if we were super interested. I think it'll be a lazy day today. Haven't seen anything we LOVE - thought we had found the one, but after thinking on it, probably too much we don't like (if that makes sense) and it is up in price for what we're wanting to spend.... At least we don't have to rush and we have options of where we can go etc.... so, we can take our time which is great.
Lana - I'd be excited also about the trip. Know what you mean about being a little nervous, but the excitment will take over and I am sure you'll be fine..
Kellie - Noah does look like a blueberry - ha ha... and Elijahs bed is very cool... You're brother ex g/f sounds like a complete lunatic? People like that make men very cautious of the female race. I personally cannot understand why she would carry on like that? Sorry it is such an awful situation for everyone.
You mentioned about looking for houses whilst pregnant - well we were in the middle of major renovations during mine. I grew and went through it all with workmen here.. haha.. They were really nice guys and we became good friends. Our bedroom wasn't finished - no tiles, flooring, painting and some walls werent' in 3 weeks before i was due. It was completed by the time E arrived - but just. Thankfully she wasn't early!. Very stressful though and I think that has taken the shine off it being completed as it was damn hard to go thru whilst pregnant....
It is cooler here this morning. The wind was bad yesterday whilst looking at houses. Had Ellery in a hooded jacket and warm pants - she looked like she was going to the snow, but the wind was terrible. No wind around at the moment - so hoping today will be nicer.

Sorry i haven't been able to keep up with you girls, my P.C is out of action as my Dp stole my video card as and my RAM as his Video card died, so until he gets a new one i dont have my own P.C .
Meanwhile you girls are chatting away 5 pages LOL.
I will endeavor to stay on track as of now.
Hollie - Got your emails and love your logo etc , is that the 'actual' one? If so LOVE IT!
BG - Any updates on the Zoo trip? I am still interested in coming.
Oh Hollie, i tried Antonio on yogurt 2 days ago and gave it to him straight from the Fridge and he loved it.
Lana - Hope you are better now, i had Tonsillitis last week, and chewed down enchinacea (sp?)as i get sick of taking Antibiotics and it worked a treat. One day it was so bad i was gagging because that wiggly thing in the back of your throat was swollen too. :barf:
Antonio update :
I got him a jolly jumper last week - loves it.
He can sit for a bit longer now but still likes to throw himself backwards.
He has said hello twice well, ewwo anyway HEE HEE. Says papa, dada more than mumma now *cry*
His new thing is to say bababababababababababab all day LOL.
Sigh he is growing up way to fast... he is really starting to get some attitude these days too , can be a real Turd. LOL A sign of things to come perhaps? HA HA.
Oh and he is on mashed/lumpy food now not sloppy. Which surprised me. He even eats the Heinz baby museli for brekky which according to them should be for 9mths plus but he loves it. Only brought it as he has been fun with lumpy's.
Anyway must go as he just woke up for brekky.
Have a great day all and sorry for the me post again.

Morning!
Wow lots of posts to catch up on! Sounds likes lots have been happening over the weekend.
Kel, I drive past Crestmead every morning to drop Madi at kindy at Browns Plains - LOL. Kel I was in the same situation when I was preg and house moving. We were building while I was preggers and moved in on our own, no one helped us and then I had Madi 6 days later due to high blood pressure. I was huge and sooooo swollen, it's funny now when I look back on it but at the time it felt like the end of the world.
Mel, Coomera Waters is nice hey. Stu and I were going to build in there last year, but liked it more at Sommerton Ridge behind Coomera Springs. It's great you get to take your time with it all, it's very exciting.
Carrie, I hope Dave gives into you and you guys can start trying for number 2! My DH said I would have to get a donor too - hehe. We are not having another one for 3 years, that way I will not have to go back to work next time. I would love to come to one of your meets but work on Monday's, I only have Thursday's off work. So if all the Brissy and Coast girls wanna meet one Thursday I would love to do that?? Carrie, I also like 'giggles' and 'bambaloo' for your new nick name
Hollie, Madi eats her yoghurt straight from the fridge too. They love it cold. I bought the Vaalia baby yoghurt in vanilla and the one with banana - they smell so good! They are 60ml tubs which are a great size for bubs.
Madi was non stop with her meals on the weekend, she eats everything now! It's very impressive, and she knows it too and gives us a big smile when she's all done! I had to buy another mesh dummy, I now have the Sassy brand one with the mesh refills and also the Tommee Tippee one too. I fill them with green grapes and apple and when she finishes them so chucks them - cheeky monkey!!
Lana, that's exciting about your upcoming trip! It great having something exciting to look forward too! I hope you guys have a great time!
Sharon, great to hear from ya! I hope you are over your sickness!
Anna, so nice to hear what's been happening! Wow Sam is a big boy now, 3 years old! That's great. Leah looks so cute in your av. pic.
Well I better do some work before I get caught - hehe........Hope everyone has a nice day! Desperately missing Madi today
Nic
We had a quick look at Sommerton Ridge. Are their local shops there????? Is it setup like coomera waters - like its own community, or is it more of a suburb than a gated community?
I don't know the areas too well - but like coomera waters - open to other suggestions though in the district.
Mel
Mel, Coomera Waters is lush, I say go there!! We still wish we built there. Sommerton Ridge is building shops at the moment - well 2 shopping complexes, it is an estate but I am not sure it's a gated community. We built in SR cause we are high up and have a view to Surfers. Coomera Waters is so nice, are you looking at building or buying on a water block? There are so many new areas on the coast now, but I have heard only good reports on Coomera Waters so you guys will love it there!

Hi girls!
Sarah - I will have a look at that site after this!
No, I haven't heard re the loan yet but it wasn't gonna be processed til today. Fingers crossed!
I sent the link to mum & dad and of cours I had an email back today from dad obviously saying do I realise the car is as old as mine, fwd's are more expensive to repair & gets parts for, it's done more km's than mine etc etc. I know all that I didn't say we were buying it! I said we were maybe gonna go look at it. AND we wouldn't buy a car without our mechanic looking at it first.
AND no matter what he says we're getting a FWD (if we can get a good one in our price range).
That car has done heaps of km's & is pretty much as old as mine (1 yr younger) BUT it is in very good cond, is at a great price for a Toyota and has extras plus logbook services etc.
Anyway ...
Mummy to Mason has just added some recent photos from the other day and this morning (this morning's of E in her bunny suit for last time prob) onto her album you should check them out! So cute!
M2B - Discovered E loves yoghurt too as had it last 2 days for lunch. I just do natural yoghurt mixed with one of her fruit jars (apple last 2 days). I've been having spoons of it too - it's soo yummy! AND MESSY!! LOL.
She has pretty much gone to 3 meals a day now - Banana in the mesh thing for breakfast, yoghurt for lunch, vegies for tea. What a guts! :)
Mel - Sounds like you are busy looking at houses. I hope you find your dream home!
LANA - Lindt cafe?! That is def motivation for a hol down there LOL.
LL - My Peapods arrived this morning! Red & navy is beautiful! Even the night boosters came in their own bags. My beehinds didn't arrive & so she has been calling the head office as were meant to be here ages ago. Should get them this week though.
The night nappies I got are Nappy Chappies Sandman made by Sustainable Hemp Products if you're interested.
Sorry I only skimmed pages.
Oh KELLIE - I feel so sorry for your brother I can't believe what she did to him!! Who lies about things like that?!
Ok gtg. Ciao for now! xoxo

Ok. I've obviously missed something really good - Lana (or anyone else) what is this website with all the cool items on it? Can anyone give me the link.....
All good this end. We are giving Ellery more solids to see if that keeps her sleeping thru the night like she use to. So today, instead of 2.5 meals - she's had 4 (night one very small in comparison, but still some vegies in her tummy). Wait and see how she goes I guess.
Michaela - hope harper likes swimming lessons. As we're moving, i will wait until we're settled then get Ellery into it big time. We're moving from being right on the water - but the new place has alot of water around and also, will probably have a pool...
Sarah - glad you were able to get the skirt you liked.... Guess it pays sometimes to just ask for what you want. Good that they're paying the postage too!.:smiliedance:
