Hi all,
A close friend of mine has suffered 2 quite bad ectopic pregnancies over the last couple of years and has had to have both of her fallopian tubes removed. She still has her ovaries and uterus so as far as she knows can still use her own eggs and carry a bub but is not sure if she can use an IVF program for her situation.
Is there anyone who has been in a similar situation and has IVF worked for you?
Thanks.

:) Yes, your friend can do IVF even though she has lost her tubes! This is her best chance at having a family!! I hope it all works out for her! What a nice friend you are!!:p :o
Absolutley! IVF places the fertilised egg into the uterus, no tubes required. Wish her the best from us :)

Thanks for your replies. I was telling her about you all and she feels better knowing that other people have 'done it'. She is excited and scared about going through with it but is speaking to a fertility specialist about the whole thing at the moment. Fingers crossed.

Yes she can definatly have a baby through ivf i have very badly damaged tubes and cannot concieve naturally. I had ivf treatment last year and now have a beautiful 7 month old boy through my first attempt it is a scary process wondering if it will work but when it does the pregnancy is so special as you are having a miracle baby. I hope it works out for your friend best of luck.
