Not sure if there is already a thread for this, but I was wanting to know who of you are finding out the sex of your bubs before the birth?
It would be cool to know if you are finding out or not and to know who is having a boy or a girl!
DH and I have been told two different scenarios.
First time they said they were two boys, then two weeks ago when I had a US after a bleed that it was a boy and a girl!
Im 18 weeks now and going for another US on Wednesday when I will basically be 18+5 weeks! (That if my dates are correct as I have been given two different dates!)
I can't wait to find out for sure! Hopefully these bubbas will behave themselve and give a us a good look! lol

Hi :)
I didn't find out with #1 but am definetly finding out this time so whats the bet they won't be able to tell.
I hope you girls get to find out for sure without the run around and maybes.
I figure if they can't see bubs sex when I have mine that I will just take that as a sign that I'm not meant to know.
But in saying that I really want to start shopping and organising its wardrobe ;)
Take care and I can't wait to hear what you are having.

we had no desire to find out with DS #1 & DS#2...
BUT, we have changed our minds this time around to find out at the 20 week scan only if it was definite answer.
WELL, when i went for my nuchal scan at 13 weeks i asked could you tell the sex of a baby at this stage - not actually asking what the sex of my baby was and was told no too early. BUT then 20 minutes later the sonographer said he'd give it 60/40 that its another boy....? so there goes my definite answer!
Absolutely!!!
I am desperate to know, if hubby was home at the moment I'd be figuring out some way of getting a scan so we could tell.
Bring on the 27th of September!!!
(Having said that, I really only want to know if they are pretty definate, so we'll see how it goes)

We had a surprise with DS, and will do it again this time.
I'm curious about whether it's a boy or girl of course, but have no desire to find out before the birth.
If we found out, the medical skeptic in me wouldn't trust it anyway. I've had a couple of friends who were told one thing and out popped the other. Very expensive and time consuming mistake!
I loved the surprise at the end anyway. Wouldn't swap it!

I can't wait to find out on the 1st October, if they're sure of course. :fingerscrossed:
I've got the strongest vibes it's a boy!

definitely
this is our first bub and a lot of people are asking me what colour to buy for christmas!
my partner wants a daddy's girl, but i don't think i can decide between a princess or a soldier.
my GP booked my "20-week" scan next week...but i'll only be 18 weeks and a few days along, so i hope i can still find out, and i hope it's a definite answer too.
i'd just love to refer to to bub as a he or she instead of "bub" or "baby". (i refuse to call my baby "it").

We want surprises. We're actually not having any ultrasounds, for a bunch of reasons and one of them is that I'm not comfortable with the idea of someone else knowing my baby's sex but not me. But I have to admit it is sooo hard to stick to my commitment to surprises  Coz I'm impatient and have been getting vibes its a girl and wanna know if I'm right. But luckily I've got DH to help me stick with our original plans.

We won't be finding out this time.
We decided not to find out the sex with DD, but we were so desperate for a girl that, when I was sent for a scan at 39w 5d, I asked to know the sex.
I have always regretted not keeping it a surprise (especially being so close to the end) so this time we are definately not going to find out. I really don't mind either way this time so I dont think I will get so impatient.
i'd just love to refer to to bub as a he or she instead of "bub" or "baby". (i refuse to call my baby "it").
I agree, but I keep changing my mind as to whether we should find out or not! I really like the idea of knowing the sex so that bub seems a bit more like a real person than a "thing". I think it will help me bond with them during the pregnancy. But then again I also like the idea of a surprise at the end!
I've got 2 weeks to make up my mind, as my next scan is booked for 18th Sept (I'll be 19 & a bit weeks by then). If we decide to go ahead and find out, I dread the idea of being given an uncertain answer rather than a definite answer. Imagine spending the next 6 months thinking it's likely to be one way but not really being able to plan around it just in case it's not! I think it would drive me crazy! :hair:
