quick note before bed.
we've been away all week and big changes in josh during that time.
He's now crawling, he's dropped back to 4 feeds a day (ok, so 4 1/2 some days), he's awake for up to 4 hours at a time (was 2 hours before we went away), he's loving sitting up now (cause he can do it himself and get down and crawl when he wants), he started saying dada tonight (ok, so it's a sound like it, but not necessarily related to his dad being in the vicinity) ... and he's getting to bed as early as 7pm at least half of the time (much better than 10pm).
trolleys ... I first sat josh up in one about 4 months ago when I couldn't find another sort of one. He loves sitting up in the trolley (no trolley mate, just the belt thing) on a regular basis for at least a month. Ironically I felt that doing a big shop with him was great for the budget cause I had my list and I just had to grab the things on the list, not stand around and look at what was on special and buy things I probably didn't need. I did a full shop in 30 minutes, which is at least half the usual time.
books ... I should read to josh more. he also loves eating books at the moment. we got given some little books the other week and he loves chewing them. My MIL wouldn't probably be thrilled that her book present is food now. For older kids my favourite book of all time is Diggingest Dog. I love it. I've got an old tattered copy that I love reading to my friends children.
Resettling overnight ... josh has been going to bed for the night anywhere from 7pm til 10pm, but then he wakes up every 45 minutes and needs resettling for up to 3 times. This only started a couple of weeks ago, before that he would sometimes need 1 resettle at the 45 minute mark, but no more. Any suggestions? He gets hysterical within moments of starting to cry, so leaving him to resettle himself is not an option. It's usually easy to get him back to sleep, but I'd love for it not to happen.
