quick note before bed.

we've been away all week and big changes in josh during that time.

He's now crawling, he's dropped back to 4 feeds a day (ok, so 4 1/2 some days), he's awake for up to 4 hours at a time (was 2 hours before we went away), he's loving sitting up now (cause he can do it himself and get down and crawl when he wants), he started saying dada tonight (ok, so it's a sound like it, but not necessarily related to his dad being in the vicinity) ... and he's getting to bed as early as 7pm at least half of the time (much better than 10pm).

trolleys ... I first sat josh up in one about 4 months ago when I couldn't find another sort of one. He loves sitting up in the trolley (no trolley mate, just the belt thing) on a regular basis for at least a month. Ironically I felt that doing a big shop with him was great for the budget cause I had my list and I just had to grab the things on the list, not stand around and look at what was on special and buy things I probably didn't need. I did a full shop in 30 minutes, which is at least half the usual time.

books ... I should read to josh more. he also loves eating books at the moment. we got given some little books the other week and he loves chewing them. My MIL wouldn't probably be thrilled that her book present is food now. For older kids my favourite book of all time is Diggingest Dog. I love it. I've got an old tattered copy that I love reading to my friends children.

Resettling overnight ... josh has been going to bed for the night anywhere from 7pm til 10pm, but then he wakes up every 45 minutes and needs resettling for up to 3 times. This only started a couple of weeks ago, before that he would sometimes need 1 resettle at the 45 minute mark, but no more. Any suggestions? He gets hysterical within moments of starting to cry, so leaving him to resettle himself is not an option. It's usually easy to get him back to sleep, but I'd love for it not to happen.

Mim: As good as Katie has always been sleep wise we have just been through a really bad patch (3 weeks) It was her teeth, Could it be teeth too?
She just would not have a bar of going to bed alone and had to be cradled and sang to and even then sometimes with a fight on my hands, many wakes early on in the night too and redo all over again as she would just get inconsolable!
Is about the only thing can think of as sounds similar. oh and Nuforen when we had lots of wakes worked a treat, would be all quiet after that...Maybe try something and see if it helps, if it does at least youll know whats up?

Charis: YAY your here lol. Glad alls well, cya tuesday! Wont chat much here as we will have nothing to talk about!

tiredmummy: DP got me on to Californication here as well! Must agree is a great show, very very funny!

wildatheart: Glad your nights are much better. Yep sure does make a happier baby which in turn a happier mummy

Must go, am pooped! Been up to Gingin for the day at the iL's and even though only a hr + drive away it always feels draining after lol

yeah, could be teeth. I was convinced it was teeth last weekend. I ended up going away a day late cause dh was gone and I couldn't put josh down long enough to get stuff ready to go. then he settled down during the week. Mind you I haven't actually poked around in his mouth for a few days, there could be a new tooth in there that I don't know about - i'll check tomorrow.

My my it has been a while for me. Have not caught up on the posts yet thought I would take a breather from cleaning as we rent the house out this week for the race weekend.
I have been really busy this week with the last week of school. I catered for over 100 people on Thursday night for the yr 12 farewell dinner then got up and catered for the the year 12 morning tea on Friday- much work goes into these events, it has really buggered me. On thursday i left home at 9:30am and did not see Bridget all day as when I got home at 9:30 that night she was asleep- She coped ALL DAY without me!!

Bridget is going well, still a bit chesty but alot better than last week. She really gets about now and stands up by pulling herself up on the furniture. She has been crawling a while and has only just started moving about in her cot. I put her down and she crawls around until she goes to sleep.

Trollies- Bridget sat upright in one for the first time last week at bunnings- the look on her face was priceless as she is usually reclined. She sat there like she was Queen of the bees!!

Better go will check in again sooner this time.... I hope- do hope you are all well.

Tabby...I think it'd be worth baby proofing a bit for Tuesday. TJ is everywhere all at once. I'll do my best to keep my bully under control, but no garantees.
Mim...good luck with the night settling. TJ's never been good, but when her teeth were giving her curry she was horrid. Nurofen is my best friend some nights.
Charis...I think Mushrooms and Asparagus are ok now. TJ's been having them for a while. But then again, this time around I'm really slack on checking when TJ should be eating what. It's more what's convenient, when.

Not a good night last night, think TJ had tummy pains. :fingerscrossed: tonights better as I've been digging in the garden and everything seems to be hurting.

Good night, sleep tight,
Lisa

yep have started baby proofing, there isnt a lot really left to do and only a small house so they cant really get out of view which helps.

Hope you have a better sleep tonight xx
