Parking in the city [Archive] - Bub Hub Pregnancy & Parenting Forum

DH & I have to go to the city on tuesday & was wondering if anyone can tell me some places to park the car for the day. Also, the costs involved.

We need to be in Martin Place by 8am, so local to there would be great.

There is a good parking station on goulbourn (sp?) st, can't remember how much but i think its pretty cheap. Parking at broadway is free for 3 hours and u could get a bus or taxi to martin place. Parking at queen vic building is about 30 for 1/2 day i think. They are all fairly exe...

There is parking under St Mary's Cathedral (not sure of price), there is parking at the Opera house, but it is very expensive ($35 for 3hrs) - ouch!
If your not going to be there long, try and get meter parking as this will be a bit cheaper.

Tis no where near Martin place but you could park at St.Vincents hospital I think they have an early bird rate $10-15 and then catch the 380 bus on oxford street goes straight to Martin Place ;)

We were actually going to spend the day in the city seeing as we very rarely get there now days. If it was the weekend we'd park in the QVB, but I imagine it'll be more expensive during the week?

I'm starting to think we should just brave the trains :o Just hope the peak hour commuters dont mind :cool:
