I'm having heaps of pregnancy symptoms!
Just need to get them down:
- sore boobs (I am BFing, but they're not normally sore)
- feeling hot
-feeling tired
-feeling sick
-bloating
-lower belly cramping
- more frequent toilet trips (both kinds)
I had symptoms of O about 2 weeks ago, so I very well could be now. I got a :bfn: on Wednesday, and haven't tested again since. And I still haven't had AF back since DS was born.
I just wanted to get that all out, so I can come back and see and add to it as more things come up, thanks for letting me get it off my chest, it's been driving me crazy going through my head:rolleyes:

I did another test on Saturday (not FMU) and it was negative:thumbsdown: and then yesterday, I got Mastitis which got really bad really quick, I got antibiotics and am getting on top of it now. But maybe that explains the symptoms I was experiencing?

thanks, funny it's the first time I've had it after about 18 months (combined) of Bfing! It's a lot better today, my b@@b just feels really sore like it is bruised, feeding doesn't hurt, only when he whacks or headbutts me. But I was soo sick and sore yesterday, I couldn't move all day.

I'm feeling so much better now:thumbsup:
I had a lot of cramping around my right ovary again today..weird, because it is just over 2 weeks since I had the same cramping on the right side which I thought was O:confused: oh, well, I guess we'll just have to wait and see how it progresses.
this is kinda turning into a TTC diary, I didn't want to do one because, we aren't really trying, we're just not not trying:p anyway, it will be good to keep track of my returning fertility and see what happens

thanks Naomi:hugs:
I'm feeling almost 100% better today, so it was only bad for 1 day, that's not too bad.
well, today, I still have lower belly cramping and nausea and a feeling like AF is about to come...this may go on for months yet:rolleyes: I think that's what happenned after I had DD, I started getting symptoms when she was about 5 months, then didn't get my first AF until she was 11 months!!

this right ovary pain is still happenin and it's driving me nuts! It's just soo confusing to have the same pain 2 weeks ago, then nothing for 2 weeks and then the same thing again:confused:
Hopefully you get your :bfp:
I am going through similar things at the moment I think I have a week till Af is due but I am having a few little signs which I dont want to read too much into in case its just pre AF symtoms, I am really bloated have been for about 3 days but today I have some new signs, AF type cramping which I have to keep checking as I am also feeling wet down there, feel groggy, sharp tingling pains in my boobies - mainly my left one? and have a couple of times today where I felt nausea

today, I still feel pain in my lower belly, I also feel really yuck, run-down and emotionally flat. I actually feel like I have AF already, that tired felling and also increased discharge. I've had one AF in almost 3 years, so my memory is not the best:rolleyes:

well, I woke up in the middle of the night and again this morning with diarhea (never know how to spell that one:rolleyes: ) which is weird, unless it is food poisonning. When I was pregnant with DS, I woke up like that most days, it was my form of morning sickness.. so, there might be another sypmtom:rolleyes: this guessing game may go on for months! I think I will do a hpt every Saturday, seeing as I did one last Saturday... and see what happens, I bought 10 cheapies off Ebay:o

well, I woke up sick again this morning.. I was going to test on saturdays but really didn't feel pregnant at all or any need to test. Throughout the day though, I strarted feeling faint and weak, I was turned off foods and smells were really strong and making me feel sick, and I had a bad headache (symptoms I had with both DD and DS) so as it got to the afternoon I was more and more convinced that I should test. I did the test and it was :bfn: , man this is confusing!! I am happy to be or not be pregnant, but I'm frustrated because I'm just trying to figure out my body and it keeps playing tricks on me. The test was a little funny though, it had pink streaks through where the positive line should be for the whole ten minutes and as only now faded away after half an hour:confused:

I have have EWCM yesterday and today, DH and I BD last night, so maybe I'll be testing again after 2 weeks;)
well it's now 13 days since then. I tested 2 days ago and got the faintest faintest line, I saw it before 10 minutes and it is still there (but really faint, don't know if DH will be able to see it)
I tested again this morning FMU and another really faint line, this time before 5 minutes.
I'm not getting my hopes up, because they really are very faint.
But it is 13 days after EWCM and BD. And last time with DS I got a very faint line at 14DPO

YAY! i just read your post all the way through - mostly because you sound exactly like me at the moment! Congratulations!
I have mostly typical AF symptoms but i am only 23 days into my cycle (8 DPO) but i didn't realise some of them can be preg/implantation symptoms, and there are a few i've never had before...
Cramping (mild)
dizzy
nauseous
incredibly sleepy
really full feeling breasts
lower back pain
increased appetite.
if it wasn't so early in my cycle i would 100% believe it was AF, but i am TRYING to keep positive..... your :bfp: gives me hope!

I've come down with mastitis, so we went to the doctor this morning, I've got antibiotics, so hopefully, we've caught it early.
It was a new doctor and I told him everything that has been going on with me as well. He was much better than the last doctor, he said that it is impossible for me to get a positive hpt unless it detects hcg. So, he was confused about the negative blood test. I did another blood test today and will get the results tomorrow. He also is testing for thyroid and infection and hormones I think. If it is negative, he will send me for an ultrasound and take it from there. There is obviously something happening with me and he wants to sort it out. I feel much better this time, and I'm happy to be on my way to getting some answers. Oh, and this doctor is also trained in obstetrics!

Just got back from the doctors. The new doctor had just finished his shift before we got there so we saw another doctor, and he was not very nice.
My blood test showed I'm not pregnant and everything is normal except for I have a slightly elevated cholesterol level. He said I need to lose weight, about 30kgs:eek: I didn't think I was that big:gloomy:
I asked him why I was feeling so sick all the time. He then checked my blood pressure and it was low 100/60, so that's why I feel faint and nauseas all the time
We went to a health food shop next to ask how I can lose weight and they were surprised the doctor told me to lose weight when I was breastfeeding. They told me some tings I can do that will help. So, we are going to make some changes in this house now

On, a positive note, now that I'm not pregnant, we are back to 'not preventing'. I noticed slippery CM today and had some cramps on my right side and we BD'd. I'm struggling a lot with waiting until Tuesday before I test. Part of me wants to do it right now, but another part wants to wait as long as possible. I feel so strongly that something is up that I wouldn't be surprised if it is a BFP but pretty upset if it is BFN. I don't want to be in this position, I want to be happy either way like I was before. I also have a feeling that I could be further along after ovulation by 1-2 weeks, I remember a time when I had heaps of EWCM and we BD'd, but I just can't pinpoint when that was.
I only have one internet cheapie test left and I'm planning to buy more if it's BFN or buy a confirm brand one if BFP, to confirm and as a keepsake.
So, now I don't know if I should test tomorrow or hold out until Tuesday, what to do, what to do:confused:
borntobemummy
31-12-2007, 07:07
I tossed and turned this morning whether or not to test today with my FMU, I ended up deciding to test and I ordered more tests from Ebay. I reasoned it out that by doing the test, I wouldn't have all this anxiety until the new ones arrive. Anyway, the test is pretty much BFN at this stage as expected, however, I do see a shadow of something on there. So now, I can relax and wait until the new tests arrive, by then I should be able to know for sure.
I dont think you will relax lol I have been reading your journey so far and it seems like you really want this  the trouble is what if you start giving yourself symptoms because you think about it so much? I have heard you can do that. I think you should get a different brand of test if you have not already as you seem to always get shadows and faint second lines. I like first response, they gave me a positive at 3 weeks pregnant according to my scan :) good luck :fingerscrossed:
I only had shadows on the internet cheapies but when i got a better brand there was a definate line straight away Good luck:fingerscrossed:

thanks girls for taking the time to read and offer support. I'm wary of buying proper tests at this stage as I still haven't had my first period since having DS and I'm just guessing what might be happening with my body. The plan is to keep using the cheapies until I see another line, then buying a more expensive test.
So now, it is good I don't have that test sitting in the drawer daring me to take it. I am forced to wait until the new ones arrive, I feel very relaxed about it. I've got the framework in my mind now that I'm probably not pregnant, so either way is ok with me..that's the place I like to be.
Last night I felt like AF was just about to arrive, a feeling that I have almost forgotten (I've had only one AF in the last 3 years:eek:). But no blood, just more CM. I don't want to read too much into things, but something definitely is going on as I believe it was in October when I had those false positives. I think it takes the body a few months to get back on track.
Right now as I type I feel like I have AF (but I don't), weird:confused:
Anyway, I'll be back to update soon;)

- We BD'd yesterday and my stomach cramped up at the end like it used to when pregnant.
- oh and I've been super thirsty for water and I usually don't drink any water, but I can't seem to quench this thirst
why can't preg symptoms only show when pregnant?! It would make all this a lot easier:doh:

I think I got a false positive again this morning. I really didn't want to test but my BBs have been soo sore and covered in veins and I've been getting that quick stretchy feeling when I stand up too fast.
The line was faintly there straight away, but as the test dried, it revealed a couple of indents at the bottom of the test region. the line is barely visible now:no:

I know I know... I just don't want to waste money unnecessarily. I will buy some if I become really convinced I could be pregnant
you seem to be wondering all the time though. and testing all the time too. If I were you I would wait til acouple of days before your period and test with a decent test every month or whatever. all this testing has got to be doing your head in.

 for the most part I don't think about it, really I don't:p It's just when different things happen within me or I start feeling really sick that I take notice. I don't know why I need to know anyway, it wouldn't matter if I found out a few weeks into it anyway... I really should relax more.
Another reason that might explain why I want to know is that I've had 2 unwanted c-sections, so the next one will be a VBA2C which is very complicated where I live. I will need a lot of time to prepare and fight just to give birth:rolleyes: I am preparing now by researching, but yeah, it will be tough when the time comes.

Hey, 'borntobemummy'. it sounds like your body is playing tricks on you while it is getting back to "normal" cycle.
I went off the Pill end of August & my cycle has only gotten back to normal this month.
I'm sure with having had a baby, your body is racing with hormones & prob telling your body silly messages.
I too thought I was pregnant last month, but I talked myself into a few of the symptons cause I was wanting to be preg for Xmas.
I would also check with your GP about the diaherra thing, cause that doesn't sound natural. May be it is something your eating that your insides are sensitive to.
My sister got a few of the symptons you were saying, sore boobs, temps, cramping, when she got mastitis. Just check that you don't have infection.
Also, it seems like you're thinking too much about all this, so that would be making you stressed. Which is where some of the symptons could be coming from - diaherra, cramping, tiredness.
Don't worry so much & take care of yourself.!!
(may be if this all happens next month, take it as if your body is having its period. However, for some reason you're not bleeding.)

I'm sorry you got a BFN :hugs:

Wishing you luck for #3!

thanks:hugs: I'll have to see what that would involve, I don't want to get too tied down as we are not really trying, just not preventing. But it could be helpful:detective:
Check out fertility friend. It would involve taking your temp at the same time every morning and then entering on a chart.

another BFN last night. It really feels like the first AF is making her way very soon.....we'll see:cool:
Borntobemummy- just wanted to say I feel exactly the same as you atm, my AF is due today or tomorrow, I have been having mild cramping for the last 3 days, I can smell heaps better than what I used to, feel sick, not hungry, weeing like every 30mins & I had a dream last night that I gave birth to a little boy named Sam. I have resisted the urge to test so far, I will wait until the weekend and see how I go, trying not to read too much into things, however this month I have felt a lot more calm in myself & more positive. I really hope someone gets a BFP soon!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :fingerscrossed:

more symptoms I thought of:

This happened to me recently, with many symptoms including a 4-day-late period... but without a BFP. It's so annoying!

I'm feeling so frustrated lately that the chance of falling pregnant is so slim now because I don't have my periods back. DS is starting to sleep through the night a bit more often lately, so hopefully that will trigger things in that department. I'm freaked out at the prospect of another child knowing how hard it is with just two, but my desire/yearning for more is just so strong. I just did a hpt now when we got home and it was BFN. When I went to the toilet to take the test, I noticed a big glob of discharge on my undies (a little bigger than a 20c coin) I smelt it and it didn't smell like urine.
So, something is really going on wit my body, maybe AF is coming really soon!

DH was even bugging me to retest! I tested this afternoon with a pregnosis clear and not even a sign of a line at all:no:
The cramping is continuing as with most of the other things. I've also been peeing very frequently and not drinking much.
Not wanting to be a downer....but I felt like I was pregnant for a few weeks before AF returned after Tayla (she was around 13 months I think.) I had cramping and tightening for ages and my tummy would get all bloated and I would wee heaps and even feel sick...it must have jsut been the hormones....I also had the discharge:o

I'm feeling a bit better today. Yesterday I had more cramping and I felt like I was going to vomit for a while. Hopefully AF is just around the corner. DS has been sleeping through the night more often than not so that should help things get back on track. I got AF back at 11months after DD was born, but she was only on 2 BFs a day at that stage, DS will be 11 months next week but he is still on at least 6 feeds a day. I don't want to be consumed by this, I just want to be able to learn how to read my body effectively.

I got a new packet of Ebay tests the other day, I just used one then (not expecting much, but it's kinda my tradition to do the first one when I receive the package) and it was BFN. The test line was visable as a white "not there" line which just shows where it would be pink if positive. I much prefer that then getting false positives with almost every test, so hopefully this is a better batch.

no, I don't think I need to, they were dudd tests. I had 6 months of this sort of stuff happening before my first AF after DD was born. It really feels like things are just coming back to life, so the waiting game continues, I'm not anxious about it much anymore, but I would like these pains to eventuate into something soon though.

I'm so excited! I'm really glad I had been keeping track of all my symptoms in here because it's been really good to look back on. The bleeding is still very light pink, we'll see what happens. So this is my second AF since November 2004:eek: I'm kinda freaked out now at the reality of actually getting pregnant and having another baby, but I'm excited about the prospect too.

Well I think it is day 4, would I count Monday as day one even though I got it at night?
I'm feeling less icky today than I have been the last couple of days. The bleeding has slowed down now too. I used to have AF for 5 days, so we'll just see what happens this time around.

I think AF is nearly finished, I hardly bled at all over night and just a little bit throughout the day. Looks like I still have a 5-day bleed.
Now I have to keep my eye out for O symptoms. Hope it's not an overly long cycle. When I fell pregnant with DS, I got my BFP at something like 44 days, so it was quite a long cycle, maybe this one will be a similar length. Or maybe not, since my PCOS is now gone!:D

AF ended up finishing last night, so it went from Monday night to Saturday night, does that count as 5 days?
So, today I'm feeling pretty good. Had a hard day with DD, so I am quite freaked about the prospect of another baby. There is a lot of prep do do with the next birth too. We sure are in for quite a challenge with a VBA2C in this area.
It is both scary and reassuring to be able to just let God take care of our family planning. We trust that He won't give us more than we can handle. So far, He has been faithful. So, we believe the next baby will come at the best time God has decided and that is an exciting way to look at it.

No surprises, it was BFN:o Oh well, at least that is out of my head now and I can focus on this cycle. I don't think O is coming yet, I'll keep watching CM. We BD'd yesterday.:o

Still no CM at all. I just read in another thread that you can O without EWCM! I didn't know that!! Maybe DH will just have to BD more often;) (I say as he is sitting right next to me reading over my shoulder).
I still have a feeling this will be quite a long cycle. I was hoping to be able to announce a BFP at DS's 1st birthday which is on the 18th. But unless I O tomorrow and we catch the egg, it will take longer then that.
We conceived DS the day before DD's 1st birthday and got the BFP 2 weeks later. So we could end up with the same age gap again.
I'm feeling a lot more confident about being a mother of lots of children. I'm getting back into the swing of things with housework and daily stuff that I wasn't able to do since I broke my arm in November.
We do make beautiful babies, it would really be a shame to not have as many as we can:p

DH and I were just reading back over it yesterday, well he wanted to see what personal stuff I've been writing about him and I read over his shoulder:o It is really educational! It will come in handy for next time for us too, it's interesting to see the processes the body undergoes after and before having a baby. Maybe I should start counting it as 2DPO (??) There hasn't been any CM since 2 days ago, I have a feeling it's not quite enough to come out so I can see it when I wipe (which is the way I check it). So maybe there is CM going through different stages but it's just not reaching the exit? Don/'t know if it works like that:confused:
Yesterday and today I've had some pretty painful bloating and cramping in my lower belly due to gas. It hurt so much, I don't normally get that unless I'm pregnant and then I get it very often. I ended up in hospital when pregnant with DS when it got so bad I couldn't move. So it's really strange I'm getting it now.
I'll keep observing and look forward to testing in 12 days (21st of May) if I go by the 2dpo thing unless I get more definite O symptoms.
eta: oh and I forgot to mention we BD'd last night again. I feel so embarrassed saying that but it will be helpful to look back on when trying to work out when to test. Sorry if it's TMI :o

I'm going with the 7DPO thing for now and I will test on 14 DPO. I only had that watery CM for those couple of days and then no more CM. I've read that that can happen. I just realised I tested on the day of DD's first birthday party/dedication (Sunday) and it was negative and then I tested on the Wednesday after and got my first BFP! The Wednesday after DS' birthday/dedication will also be 14DPO (well possibly O anyway), that's a pretty cool coincidence:p

At the risk of offending... borntobemummy, if you read all the way back through this thread again, I think you'll notice that a lot of your signs and symptoms that you hope are preg related, and that you also say are "not normal" for you, seem to actually be quite normal for you, as they are a recurring theme since the beginning of the the thread. Maybe they weren't normal for you pre-baby, but certainly post-baby they seem to be, just from reading this thread over the last 6 months or so.
I know you say you're not *actively* TTC, but the way you seem to be focussing so intently on all the little possible signs makes me thing you really need to start charting, so you'll have a definite record of all the things you experience and have a good clear visual sign of which signs are actually unusual for you. Your cycle obviously isn't in sync yet, but I do believe if you start charting your CM and temps, along with noting all the other things (like ovarian twinges, nausea, trots and pimply skin) you'll save yourself a fair amount of time and money and emotional upheaval that constant HPT's are costing you.
I've been there and done that as far as "not trying to prevent" preg, and believe me, you'll have a lot more fun trying or not trying, if you can just relax and not be so minutely focussed on every little thing your body does, and instead just worry about the BIG signs of fertility and conception when they happen, which is what a chart may give you the freedom to do (not to mention the fact that by charting you'll have a better idea of when to test, and thus avoid a while lots of BFN's and the disappointment that goes with them. You might also find that without being completely self focussed on your body, it will decide to sneak in a pregnancy of it's own accord. I conceived the month after I gave up *not actively TTC but wanting to*, and I've heard that this happens a LOT.
At the very least, perhaps you could read back through this thread and make a chart of your own with all the symptoms you mentioned and the dates you noticed them, and you may start to see some sort of pattern yourself, without having to do any "official" charting at all.
I do hose this hasn't offended you... my only motive here is to perhaps save you some of the constant worry you seem to be having regarding what your body is or isn't doing, as stress is, IMO, the #1 factor in not conceiving easily where there are no physical probs.
borntobemummy
18-05-2008, 14:55
thank you for that, no I'm not offended, I often think the same things myself. I'm really not as stressed as it may come across in this thread. I'm just deliberately trying to record every different thing that I experience so I can look back and see if there is some sort of pattern. It has been very helpful, as I noticed earlier that before my AF returned, I experienced a bunch of different symptoms every 2 weeks for approx 6 months leading up to that time. And the same thing happened after I had DD too, so it just helps me learn how my body works a little better. As for charting, I kinda am charting in here by recording what I notice in CM and other things. I don't think I could do the whole temp thing, I would forget too often and I am up a few times in the night with DS. As for the tests costing too much money and worry, the ones I get are 60cents each and even though I have gotten my hopes up at times, it is worth it just to know either way.
I think I'm in a good place now. I am struggling not to think about it too much or want a baby too much. But it is a huge part of my nature to be clucky. If we are leaving it all to God though, I need to stop worrying, so that is my battle.
DS' birthday and dedication went well today, we had lot's of people come to celebrate with us, he was a little over tired, but really handsome ( I spiked his hair up). And I forgot to test this morning hehe... doesn't matter:p

Last night I had a really sore stomach on the lower right side, not near the ovary this time. It was really painful, like a deep burning feeling. I burnt myself just above that area the other night when I leaned over the cooking pan to reach something from the cupboard above. It felt like the same burning pain, but about an inch under the skin and lower than where the burn is. I was thinking it could be an internal burn (not sure how that would be possible). Or I was thinking appenicitis, now this morning, I'm thinking it might be a torn muscle, I carried DS and DD for long periods in the Ergo yesterday.
Now, today, I have some O type pain around the right ovary and some slippery CM yesterday and today. DH and both kids are all sick and I'm not today, so the chances of BD if it is O would be pretty slim:(
And thanks MilkOnTap, I think I was about CD 45 when I tested positive for DS. I'm expecting a long cycle and I know they can take a while to regulate. I'll just continue observing and recording stuff in here.

I went to the doctor this morning and told him I had BFPs at home and he said congratulations. He asked me when my last period was and I said April 14, he asked me if I was sure or if I wanted to check it. I said, I'm sure when the LMP was, but not sure when I conceived because it was my first period after DS. So he got me to do a pee test, he waited about 30secs until the ink moved across the window and said it's negative:crying: Why do doctors do this?! He said come back in a WEEK:eek: if my period doesn't arrive first and he'll do a blood test!!
I came out and told DH, dejected. I was still hopeful after 4 positives on 2 different brands though. I decided to buy a confirm brand test rather than wait a whole week and I went and did it straight away in the toilets at the shops...it was :bfp: after a minute and it is darker than any of the other tests.
DH was all fired up and took me back to the doctor to demand a blood test, at first the doctor tried to say again to come back in a week, then I showed him the test and he was like "oh, ok, come through". And I did the blood test and I might get the results back at 6pm tonight or tomorrow after 9:30am.
We're pretty sure it's positive though after 5 obvious positives on 3 different brands!!!:smiliedance::D

A lady from the doctor surgery rang last night under exceptional circumstances. We went out to youth group with the kids, usually, DH just goes by himself. Apparently she tried calling all night and for some reason DH's mobile wasn't receiving the calls. Anyway, DH decided it was time to take the kids home earlier than expected. About 5 minutes after we arrive, the home phone rings (it has been broken for months and we can't receive incoming calls, so no idea how that happened) and DH picked up and passed the phone to me... and she confirmed that yep I'm pregnant!!!
Thanks everyone for joining me in this journey so far, I hope this thread will be useful for other TTCers

going by all the info in here, how far along would I be? my best guess is EDD Jan 29th. I think I will do a dating scan at some point to find out for sure.
There is so much to think about now, I'm so excited!! And freaked out a little too, but all will be good!
Congratulations so happy for you.:yelclap:
