What do you do when kids are in daycare?

Hi There,

I was just being nosey really and was wondering what any SAHM's do when they put their kids into daycare or playgroup?

My son is an only child and craves attention from other kids so he goes to daycare Monday, Wednesday & Friday's from about 9am to 4pm.

This is what I usually do :

Mondays - Spring clean the house from top to bottom

Wednesdays - Other household stuff such as grocery shopping, do all the washing & folding, strip and change all the beds etc and go out with my Mum if she has something planned, general shopping really .

Fridays - unless it's a birthday, wedding or funeral I don't leave the house :D I spend the entire day pampering myself from head to toe!

What does everyone else do??

DD goes 1 day a week and I do the books, accts etc for our family business. I have the music really loud, I chat on BubHub ;) , I usually get all the washing done, folded & put away, I change the sheets, do general household chores. If I have any time left I go shopping in peace, or run any erands that I need to do. :thumbsup:

My DD is the same although she only goes Monday and Thursdays. I am studying at the moment so Monday is a very big study/assignment day as for thursdays....well.....I stay in my pyjamas all day...watch some great shows my DP downloads me.....Pig out on chocolate etc....then about 30 mins before DP and DD are due home i quickly run around and do the obvious housework so it doesnt look like ive been lazy all day!!!!

Hmm thinking how nice it would be to have a day like you ladies have :) even if i did put dd in daycare i would have this one LOL so ask me in 4 years what i would do LOL

I work to pay for it :p

I'd love to have the day at home. I still consider myself a SAHM even though I work the day DD is in care. I do it so she can get the interaction with other kids. I'm not a Mother's Group type ;)

both kids go on tuesdays. I go food shopping in peace and look at target etc then sewing usually

on the holidays (when he's in and I'm at home) I call them my "pee with the door closed" and "have a shower without a little one climbing in or bashing on the door" days :p

I study and work on setting up my business.

Oh and clean the house and enjoy it staying clean for a full six hours LOL.
