Does anyone out there have any solutions to prevent thrush? I have suffered many times, always when pregnant, but at other times also. I have tried just about everything and researched on the net but nothing really works. Any brilliant ideas?

Regularly taking acidophilous tablets (like inner health from chemists) is meant to help.........

Do you eat bread?

Yes probably 3 slices a day. I eat whole grain and try too avoid too much starch.

Reason I ask is that a naturopath I used to see (very good one) took yeast out of my diet for reoccurring thrush.
Bread being the main one. I now use Moores "yeast free" bread, which tastes alright, but is much nicer toasted rather than plain. For lunches I use corn or rice crackers, you just got to be a bit more creative! ;)
Maybe it's worth a try if you have tried everything else....................

Try cutting out any sources of yeast and white, refined flours for a while. Stay away from refined sugar as well...
Also eating yogurt is good too.

Hi,
Try switching to shower gel that is soap free and use Hydrozole cream. I was told this by a women's health clinic and its worked for me. Use the cream when you feel the symptons coming on and it prevents it.
Good luck

A jar of the really good youghurt like Mundella always clears it up - you will notice the difference after just a couple of bowls. Has to be good yoghurt though - yoplait etc have buckets of sugar in them which makes it worse:)
