Which is better to use after applying an iron on applique? The paint would probably be easier but what is better?
I brought a buzz lightyear applique to make a buzz night pull up/ nappy for DS2.
I wouldn't use the paint, I think that the amount of washing a nappy gets it would wear off sooner rather than later.

when i iron on appliques with clothing i always zigzag stitch around them :) makes them last so much longer i know its not nappies but same concept really :)

I used paint to do some eyeballs and and the poor buzzy bee looked like it had a black eye after a massive paint blob came out, luckily it washed out... but it shouldnt have!
Zig Zag or hand embroider.

Ok, so here it is:)
It was a little wonky in a few places but I think I did ok for my first applique:)
I'm not brave enough to try making my own from scratch yet though!
Bailey is going to be so excited when he sees it tomorrow! He'll be looking forward to bedtime for once:yelclap:

That looks fantastic:thumbsup: Your DS will LOVE it!!
How did you go with ironing the applique onto the MM fleece? I want to try it but I'm too scared I'll burn the fabric:o

I put a tea towel over top of the fleece and ironed on top of that:thumbsup:
Then topstitched:)
