 I am having real trouble looking after my doggie, she is a lovely purebread whippett that requires attention that I can't give.

I feel sorry for her as she used to get run with a ball in the morning and afternoon and be happy but now on my own it is hard to do this and if I try to take Tyger for a walk she howls the whole time I am away because she wants to come too, she is fine off the leash but I get annoyed as she runs off ahead and I have to keep calling her and chasing Tyger too. She also gets so excited that she spins around in circles, letting off steam but I have to watch that she doesn't knock Tyger over.

I am thinking about giving her to a family with perhaps kids that are a little older or someone that is at home that can walk her and play ball and has the time she deserves.

I don't know what to do really because torn with guilt/love for the doggie and my sanity and her wellbeing.

Hi Debster

Its so hard when tryng to look after pets and children, especially by yourself.

Im not sure if this may help you, we live on five acres, properly dog fenced, you are welcome to have your whippet stay for a day or two, whenever you need to, to burn off some energy, we have a 9 month old lab x, she is full of energy and loves other dogs.

If you really need to find a home for your dog, I can run it past my husband.

HI DebSter

I know its hard looking after a pet with kids aswell. but have you tried taking him to the dog parks that way they can run with other dogs and cant get away. And you can have your little 1 their by your side i take our dog and kendall every afternoon as he will not walk with a pram and if you would ever like to join us or if you would like me to take your pup with me that would be fine.

I haven't got the time to drive to a dog park  ,i have a pretty full schedule except the weekend and i struggle to keep on top of home duties and garden.
