A NICE but CHEAP hotel in Brisbane

DF's birthday is next month and we are going out for the night in town! He want's to go clubbing so that is what we are doing! But I thought it would be nice to go to a hotel for the night afterwards- but I want it to be a surprise.

I'm spending a fair bit on his present so I'm after a cheap but nice hotel in the city area of Brissie (or somewhat close to the city)

Any ideas? :)

Have you had a look on wotif or somewhere like that? You'll usually get the cheapest rates there. :)

I find the secret 4 star hotels on last minute to be pretty good and reasonable....

try anything in Spring Hill it's a suburb just on the city fringe and you can walk to and from there. Some of the hotels are quite reasonable - let me think of some....

The Mecure and Ibis are very nice too - they're at North Quay. All my interstate friends stayed there for my wedding and said it was quite reasonably priced.
