I am thinking about putting Hayley into occasional care one day a week (well for 3 hours either every Monday OR every Friday) a lady at playgroup was telling me theres a center up the road from me that her youngest child (3.5) goes each week from 9am to 12pm and its $10 for the 3 hours (you pay each time you put them in each week) but the thing is because we are wanting to get out own place (maybe in 6 months maybe in a year who knows) we would probably move further away from the center anyway, do you think it'd be a good idea to put her in even if its IS only for 6 months. It might be good for her to get some friends (we go to playgroup each week to) and have a break from one another. Would other people put their kids in or not?

A lot of people I know use occasional care off and on with no problems - some are studying, some work, some just need time off!
I haven't heard any child having problems....

Thanks for that. If I DO put her in she'll be 3 and I'd want her to stay there for a year at least (then on to 4 year old kinder) I would probably put Skye in at age 2 or 3 too (I think shes a bit too young at the moment) so I can do whatever (get my hair done or shopping or something) for a few hours with no kids around.
