Hi,
I am choosing between Dr Siri-wardena or Dr Gayer at Westmead Private. Has anyone got any feedback on either of these two?
Thanks in advance!

I am 34 weeks and seeing Dr Siriwardena. He is a really lovely man. I have had some issues with my pregnancy in the last few weeks and he has been excellent, monitoring me closely and really reassuring me. Obviously I haven't been through the birth with him yet but he is a very calm man and that is something I find comforting too and sure I will at the birth as well.
One of the girls in my antenatal class is seeing Dr Gayer but I can't give any feedback as I don't have experience with her.
Hope this is helpful :)

I haven't personally seen Siri-Wardena but my girlfriend did and she thought he was great.
His wife is our family DR and she is lovely
All the best

Thanks for the feedback Grace3 and erinp. I would feel more comfortable with a female however have a lot of great things about Siri-Wardena so am leaning towards him.
I have also got the name of Dr Tien Huynh. Has anyone got any feedback on her.

I had Dr Gayer for my DS, and I cannot rave about her enough.
She is a woman of few words, but is very thorough and if you have any questions has no problems answering them thoroughly.
Since having her, we have moved out of the area, but I would travel to see her again if I am ever in need of her services.

I too had Dr Gayer (for IVF and as my obstetrician) and found her fantastic. I felt 100% relaxed and confident throughout my pregnancy and birth knowing she was there.
As someone said, she is a woman of very few words, but she is extremely knowledgable and experienced in her field. My sister also had her and both of us were very happy.

One thing to consider...who is the back up for Siri Wardena? You never know he may be away when you are due.
If the back up is Dr Jenkins I cannot recommend him. I am now almost 5 months after delivery and still in great pain, needing repair work. Mind you, he is not keen in fixing the problems and I have had to seek help elsewhere. Avoid him completely.
One problem with Siri Wardena is that he was the back up for Jenkins when I was due and then he went on vacation last minute as well, even though for 6 months the sign on the wall said Siri Wardena would be available. Pretty disappointing they are not upfront about absences.

Hi There, I know that this is a little late, but I know that others thinking about chosing Dr Siri Wardena will read this later on so just wanted to make a note.
I have had him for both of my children and other girly probs and found him nothing but fantastic. I also see his wife as my GP (currently at Glenwood) and know for a fact that he puts his patients as utmost priority.
With mention to the post eariler about him not being around while another Doc was on hols, I think you'll find that his father passed away and it was totally out of his contol that no prior notice was given.
He lives only 10 minutes from both Westmead Private and The Hills Private too........for those "in the middle of the night" surprises
Best of Luck
