Im trying to plan ahead for christmas and I really have no idea what Matilda will be interested in or play with or even have the ability to do!

My little girl loves:
Cars (Disney movie 'cars')
Bob the Builder
Polly Pocket (not the tiny tiny ones)
Farm animals
Dinosaurs
Activities:
Playdough
Puzzles
Crayons
Paste
Fuzzy Felt
Indoor cubby (tent like a princess castle)
Dress-ups
SHe's not really into dolls or soft-toys (she has one fave soft-toy which is a panda)
My little one is about the same age and I'm thinking things like jigzaw puzzles, tricycle, etc. My DD also loves role playing so things like gardening set, kitchen set, laundry sets etc (she copies me a lot)!

Blocks, puzzles as bigglet said, also magnets are great fun too you know the abc whiteboard etc ones
forsome reason dd always goes back to her peek a boo blocks shes constantly gone back to them since she was 12 months old found it was a good investment
what about a little animal farm?
My DD is 23mths now and she plays with blocks, shape-o, puzzles, stacking things, magnets, dolls (loves, loves, loves her "babies") and books, loves books!
She also has that New McDonald Farm thing and plays with that all the time, making the animal noises and knows exactly where each animal goes!

DD is 21 months old now, and some of her favourites are:
Fisher Price Little People (we have the bus)
Books - a must for her!!
A tea set
Puzzles
Colouring pencils and books
Playdough (I just make it at home)
Razor Scuttlebug (http://www.coolscooters2.com/scuttlebug.html)(she has the pink one)
Peek-a-blocks are a hit here still - DD has the farm house and the crocodile, and loves to pull them out.
Puppets are also fun, and she understands that she needs to make Cookie Monster talk - its hysterical!
hiya. my daughter is almost 22months. her faves are painting, lego blocks(the big ones), and her latest are these bead thingys.. check out the toys r us catalogue im not sure which page but its a cube with the beads on top and four different things on each side of the cube.. on sale for $50. great gift

:hugs: Thanks guys so much!! I was thinking the Little People might be worth a go, they have some pretty cool sets out there!!
Rach - The Scuttlebug looks awesome, does ur little miss ride it easily enough? Matilda has a 3 wheeled trike, the low ones with the big fat plastic wheels but her feet keep getting stuck against them! You rekon its worth a shot?

Yeah, she loves it!
She got it for Christmas from her Aunties, so has had a while to practice on it:D
But its her favourite toy at the moment.
It's also foldable, so it is easy to take along to the park etc:thumbsup:
