We are taking a 3 week road trip with DS (who will be 11.5 months old) in March and to make life a little easier i was thinking that we may be able to give him cows milk in a cup with his lunch. I plan on having him fully weaned around 12 months and at the moment he is having 1 b/f when he wakes up, either b/f or formula after lunch and formula before bed.

He has been having cows milk on his cereal for over 3 months and has not had any reaction to it.

What do you think??

Go for it.

I offer Andrew an inch(ish) of cows milk every so often after lunch, before his b/f to try to get him used to it. He doesn't like it much (don't blame him, i hate it myself) but I keep offering it.

Maybe you will have more luck, seeing as yours is used to formula?

Good luck!

Hi Angela
It's so close, I'm sure he's fine. You'd already know if he had a big dairy problem. Just thinkof it like this: if full term is 40 weeks gestation +/- 3 weeks, when you do your trip he'll be 12 months old ( +/- 3 weeks) ;)

What do they say: lies, d*mn lies and STATISTICS

Cheers

I'd say go for it too. 2 weeks isn't going to make that much difference, and as you say, he hasn't had a reaction to it....Makes life that bit easier huh? :)

Thanks guys! You have put my mind at ease!!:)
It will certainly make life a bit easier while we are away. Although i think i will try him on it a few days before we leave just to make sure that he will actually drink it!! LOL
