Two missed periods but not pregnant?!?

Hello. Long time viewer, first time poster.

I have to beautiful cherubs. One age just over two years and one about 10mths.
Dh and I have recently decided to try for a third child. No probs rights?

Well we started TTC in January (this year) but I haven't actually had a period since November last year. I missed Dec and missed January. I have done multiple pregnancy tests and still no positive results. I am starting to worry that something is seriously wrong. There is known obvious reason to me that I missed my period in Dec and I was hoping that I missed my period last month due to pregnancy but alas it appears not. I am not engrossed about trying to fall pregnant so I don't believe it is the whole mind over matter thing either.

DD1 was born naturally but DD2 was born by C/S. There was no complications with my C/S and everything has been fine until now.

I am seeing my GP tomorrow but I guess I am after other people opinions and experiences.

i had a similar experience last year when my period was absent for 3 months with no explanation. multiple pregnancy tests were negative as well as an ultrascan which came up with an empty uterus and the doctor was clueless too. i was on the pill too. it finally came back after 3 months and i still don't know what was going on.

Are you breastfeeding? Are you stressed?

When my ds was about 10mths old i had a 53 day cycle! I tested and it was -'ve, had blood taken and still negative. It was just one of those things. I chalked it up to bfing and i had pnd too so i was pretty stressed.

Ovarian cyst? An ultrasound would diganose it.

I had been TTC #1 for nearly 2 years when I was diagnosed with an ovarian cycst. Sometimes a cyst will make your period go AWOL, othertimes it won't.

I'm not on the pill or anything else. I'm not breastfeeding. I have had fairly regular periods since bubs birth. I do get pretty stressed out at times but it has been no more than usual. If anything I have been less stressed than usual.
That is why it is sooo weird. I just can't think of a reason.
I had an ultrasound about 7 weeks after DD2s birth as my uterus was still a little big but everything showed up as fine.
I have felt rather exhausted lately but that has only been in the last couple of weeks and not the last couple of months.

I guess I will have to wait and see what the Dr says. I think I am just so worried that there will be no number three bub in our family.

Just a quick update. My GP is not too concerned yet as I have only missed 2 periods. He has prescribed a hormone that will cause a withdrawal bleed. I have to take 3 tablets a day for ten days after which I should have a period within 2-3 days. It said it should help "reset" everything for me.
If I don't have a bleed after this it could mean I have either just this week fallen pregnant or I have low estregen levels. (Please excuse my spelling). It also said the treatment won't affect the baby if I am pregnant.
