Anyone been to or live in Bundaberg?
If so, what is it like?

Been there, had a friend live there for a while. She said there were lots of old people in Bundy... but i suspect there are plenty of families too.
Where do you live now? I lived in Gympie for a while and I think it is probably a similar size? It was good.

No, Gympie is a lot smaller :D
I have lived in both and my preference would be Bundy. It is close to beaches, has ok shopping, relatively cheap affordable housing, lots of families, lots of opportunities for chn in the way of sporting/cutural etc. There is a bit of a feral element but you can find that anywhere.
PM me if I can help, we lived there for 11 yrs.
Bundy is nice my mum lived up there in '04 i used to go up all the time for weeks at a time:D she lived at Bargara beautiful place, beautiful beaches and the people arnt too bad either if i could live anywhere it would be there:yes::D

I lived there for the first 24 years of my life and it is a pretty good place to live.
It isn't too big, but it isn't small (especially these days it is getting bigger).
The beaches are close and there are a few to choose from. Don't get extreme stingers like you do further north. You get surf.
You can be in Brisbane in four hours.

My DH is from Bundy and his family still reside there. Most young people can't wait to get away from it but think maybe that's the allure of the big smoke. A few of his friends have drifted back when they started families because it is still pretty much like a big country town.
Glorious beaches, but still a fair amount of farm land too. Great train service to Brissie. Housing still fairly affordable unlike bigger towns/cities.
Think unemployment is still very high there compared to a lot of other places but always something if you really want a job.
I couldn't live there because of the heat so would suggest a house with air con as a necessity.
Nothing like Gympie IMO, many more amenities and services.
Our family is in Kepnock which is sorta halfway between beach and town, mix of families but fairly quiet and nice.
