Hi there! Any one have any suggestions on how to deal with this? He is 3 months old and is keeping himself awake at night because he cant breathe properly. Poor thing!
Thanks!
DS is the same due to his little cold.
At the moment I'm using a vapouriser in his room and baby vicks rubbed on his chest before bed. So far so good.
Another tip is rub some baby vicks on the soles of bubbies feet, then put socks on. The warmth and smell will help them sleep also.
:fingerscrossed:

Hi, yeah baby vix is great, but also a ummm dunno the proper name for it but a snot sucker LOL
They are amazing for removing mucous from the nose.
Good luck
I have a 'snot sucker' thing which helped when DS had a cold. And steamy bathroom seems to help :)
Our paed recommends nasal spray. It's just a saline solution called Narium, which suitable for all ages (including babies). It can be used as much as you need it. I'd highly recommend it!
Vaporisers are great, as is some vicks in an oil burner during the day.

yup, we had that problem, used euky bear rub on her feet each night plus some on a swab in a hot water bottle with cover (so just in the top of the cover) a top of cot at night, a couple of steamy baths with mumma, fresh air several times a day <it does help, even if it is cold just wrap bubs up well>, elevating the cot head, elevating changing area head and neck (euky bear swabs there too for daytime doses), lots of shoulder time when DH is using goanna rub, and also being BF I found eating chicken soup cooked old-style and other flu-fighting soups and stews helped too as she got the goodness in the milk. hope your bubs is breathing better soon

I agree, those snot suckers (aspirators) are wonderful! You can get a pack at the pharmacy called "Fess Little Noses" it comes with saline drops that you put in the nose, wait a while and then suck the boogers out!
