Hiya all you Perth Mums, I want to share, with you all, an bad experience I had with a Children's Hair Salon located (NoR).

I took my 2.5 daughter to this salon (who pride themselves on being "child-friendly") for a fringe trim as my daughter is terrified of having her hair cut. Whilst we were waiting we saw another little girl who had just finished having her hair done, get a lollipop from the hairdresser - so, seeing this, as any child would do, my daughter also wanted one. I assured her after she had finished getting her hair cut, she also would get one (a nice incentive for a frightened little child).

My daughter was absolutely brilliant, no tears or tantrums, I was extremely proud of her, she sat quitely through the full 2 minutes the hairdresser spent on her. After which she politely asked the h/d for a lollipop - the so called "h/d" absolutely floored me when she refused my daughter - telling my 2.5yr. old it was only for children who "actually have their hair cut". Can you believe it?

I know at the end of the day it's only a 5c lollipop, but it's the principal, either all the children are presented with the lollipop, or non at all!

It's pretty poor for a salon who "apparently" pride themselves on being child-friendly have absolutley no idea about children whatsoever! There is one last thing I would like to add, it is my believe and pretty apparent from the experience I have had first hand that this salon is not interested in your or your child, they are more interested in getting your money!

Hopefully, should you visit this place you are now aware and this kind of thing does not happen to you or your child.

Thanks for reading/listening

Have a great day

I know, I have decided I'm not taking my daughter back. It was the first and the last time. I also the h/d in question an e-mail indicating my dissatisfaction with the whole thing and I have yet to hear back from them.

good on you for sending an email that was so rude of the h/d. Did you go and buy her a lollipop as if it was my son he wouldn't stop talking about it if he was the kid.
you should complain and let them know they've lost a potential client

Hiya Sugar and Spice, yes I did as my little girl was upset by the whole thing. I did complain, I sent them an e-mail advising them that I won't be back. To date, have heard nothing.
