There was a regular mothers group meeting at Aspley (I think) last year, I don't know whether they are still going, but that would be the place to start.

How old are you children? I would be interested in a get together in Albany Creek every second Wednesday. Next week the 16th. My oldest is at pre school every second Wednesday and I have a 2 yr old also. Melissa PM me if you are interested in coming to my place next week for morning tea, chat and the kids can play. There is a group of us northside mums that meet up every second Friday and every other Wednesday for those that can't make the Friday. We usually meet at a northside park around west chermisde, mcdowall, aspley areas (anywhere that has a good park really) and you guys are most welcome to come along, just pm me with your email address if you are interested and I will pass it along so you can be added to the contact list.

I have just started going to a playgroup on a Tuesday morning at Bridgemen Downs Baptist Chursh on the Albany Creek Road (where it joins Beckett Road).. it is also on a Thursday morning.

If you are worried about it being too churchy....as I was..... don't be... it isn't at all..... they have some craft things going on, painting, playdough etc and some great outdoor play equipmant as well as loads of inside toys too... (airconditioned). The last half hour is spent having a story and a few songs.

It is only $2pw, you get morning tea for that just bring along something for the little ones, the children range from babes in arms to preschoolers although there are quite a few around 2 years.

PM me if anyone would like to join me... or just turn up, there seems to be new people each week.
