Hi - New here

Hi all, I'm new to Canberra. Actually I'm new to Australia as we arrived last Thursday! We're living in Acton and I need to know where I can find some mother and baby/toddler type groups. My ds is almost 15 months old and he's getting bored with just my company during the day. We would be relying on public transport so suggestions for anything local would be appreciated. Any ideas?? Thanks!

im Kim an di have a 6and a 1/2 month old DS his name is Riley, and we are in tuggeranong, i have no idea where action is, but if im close to you i to am limited to transport, id love to catch up for a coffee though.. all of the girls on here are great fun and we are actually planing a get together for a girls night ou#2 in the next few weeks so if your interested let me know :yes: :p i think we might even have a few meets over the next few weeks, like a few of the girls are heading to the movies for a mums and bubs session its on every 2nd thursday i think so thats on this thursday coming, and yeah... if i can help with anything please let me know id love to be of asistance,

My names Nadya and I too live on the South side of the city.

I have a little boy named Raza who just turned 1 on the 15th August! WooHoo!!

I also came from abroad, UK, to be specific, so I know how u feel initially! But, as time goes by, u get used to it.

The BubHub ladies are friendly and as mentioned, we have meets now and again, so sure do come along.

You can PM me if you have any q's about anything. I'm not really too sure about the public transport here, but all I know is how to get a bus from my place to the city!

Acton is pretty central so you could go to the story times at the museum, or to one of the library story and craft mornings. Im 21 with my first bub due September and live in Tuggeranong area.

I have found Bub hubbers to be amazing with advice and great for a chat, especially if your new to town and feeling isolated.:thumbsup:
