My three month old DD seems to have developed a preference for one breast over the other, to the point where sometimes I have to 'trick' her into thinking that she's feeding from the 'good' breast by feeding her twin style on the 'bad' breast.
Has anyone else had this happen to them?
A few weeks ago I was having some problems with supply in the 'bad' breast, and sometimes my let down wasn't so good on that side, so I could understand her being a bit frustrated, but sometimes now she won't even try it before she starts struggling and crying. But if I turn her around twin style and put her on that same breast, she starts sucking and is fine.
Anyone have any thoughts?
I hear ya load and clear!:p
I have had the same problem and like you, just trick her by feeding footy style.
I know that the midwives in hospital told me that nearly all babies develop a favourite boob... (usually the side that you write with apparently???) my DS definately prefers that side (has more supply too ..)
I just tend to offer him the least favourite side first more often - when he is hungry he'd drink from ANYTHING ... I figure that way that side's supply is less likely to dwindle...

Indy definately prefers the left side, which is weird coz im right handed and i would have thought was veve said was what would happen.
i think coz i can get her into a much better position and she more comfy on the left. so with the right i try (when i can) lay down and feed her from the (bad) right side . then she nice and happy.

My little boy has always preferred my right breast... and recently my left one almost completely dried up!! I had to do some serious work to build the supply back up again... I was looking very funny and lopsided... 'A' cup on one side... 'C' cup on the other  !!
They seem to be about even again now, and I am making every effort to get Bub to appreciate my left breast!!!!
Glad to hear that it is an apparently common occurence!
