Royal Doulton put out bunnykins figurines every year - each year has a special theme and these figurines are only made in that year, for that year and usually you can only buy them for a limited period that year.
This year the theme is Scouts and there is Girl Guide Bunny as one of the four 2007 Bunnykins figurines. Or if you are willing to spend a bit, you could get the set.
They are a little pricey - but certainly something special that can be passed on over the years and will always be a special reminder of the year they were born.

I've bought both my girls a silver charm bracelet. On it goes a charm to commemorate all their "firsts".

They both have a silver heart set with their birthstone to commemorate their births and then we have charms for their first Christmas, Easter, baptism, birth of sibling, walking , first day of school, first holiday etc. It's like a timeline of their little lives.

Cheers

A time capsule (can be purchased from Myer)

A framed photo of the sunrise or sunset on the day they were born, to be put away for when they're older!

My best friend bought Ella a charm bracelet for her dedication. She got a cross charm for that occasion & is going to buy her a charm every birthday for it. I thought it was a really nice idea. :)
