Hi
Well I really want to get my son christened before he turns 1 so I'd better get my skates on!!!
My only problem is I have absolutely no idea where to start.
I have just left a message at my uni (Australian Catholic uni Brisbane) to see if they hold weddings and christening s there cause I'd really love to hold at a place that means so much to me. I'm also hoping campus ministry will be able to perform it for me :fingerscrossed:
But besides that I don't know what to do to organize it :o
So I guess any help at all will be great
Thanks

Pls anyone???
I know its a bit of a hopeless request but any help at all would be good...
You really have to wait until the minister get's back to you. Then you'll have a date and time.
you could start organising guest list's, cake, christing outfit, godparents and where or if you want a party/bbq afterwards.
ummmm...sorry if this isn't much help. Why don't you have it near his birthday, then you can combine the party afterwards
We went to the church and asked... there was a 3 and 1/2 month wait at our church... but just go there

Just organise it as you would for any celebration, close friends and family, and a lunch afterwards. I'm organising my daughter's 1st birthday party and we decided we would include a naming ceremony on the day. We're keeping it simple, I've got the wording from a website and a good friend of ours will do the ceremony. We're doing the 'beads of wishes' thingy, each guest writes a wish for her on a card which is placed in a box, then they pick a bead for her, at the end I'll make it into a bracelet and it will also go into the box as her keepsake. I hope that makes sense. :)
