Well last thursday I think it was, I was on the way to work. I kinda just needed refreshing and thought I would just turn on the christian radio station whciih really never has anything good on it... usually the old 80's christian Toronto Blessing typo stuff... not that thats bad just over that when I was a kid :barf:
LOL!!!
ANYWAY back on track... When I did I was hearing the end of Focus on the family, so I was a bit disapointed when Bob Gass's "Word for today" came on I was like YAY YAY (wheres that verse I know what you need before you ask???)
anyway here is the word that was on the radio and that was SO for me! if it was for anyone who was listening it was FOR ME!
He is there!
GOD IS VERY PRESENT...IN TROUBLE PSALM 46:1
In a dream, a man once saw Jesus approach three praying women. He knelt beside the first with great tenderness and love. At the second, He just placed His hand on her head and gave her a look of approval. He passed by the third without even stopping. The dreaming man was totally confused so Jesus explained, 'Without constant assurance, the first woman would stumble and fall. The second woman's faith is stronger; I can count on her. But the third, is being trained for the highest calling of all. She knows me so well that she doesn't need a pat on the back or special attention. Life doesn't get to her because she knows that ultimately she can trust me.' Being sinful, we fail. Being human, we hurt. Being mortal, we die. Pressure wears us down. Stress gives us headaches. People scare us. Criticism offends us. Disease worries us. Death haunts us. What's the answer? 'God is 'very present...in trouble' (Psalm 46:1). Never doubt in the dark what God told you in the light. He is with you day by day on your journey; this amazing God has everything under control and without you seeing or understanding, every detail He has planned will happen to perfection. When we hit rough spots, our reaction is to feel abandoned yet the opposite is true, 'cos at that moment we're more than ever the object of His love and concern. Yes, even when our vision gets blurred, our thinking foggy and we look up and think He's vanished, He is there! Don't ever forget that.
MAN I am SO that third lady!!! Ive been havin SUCH a rough time latley and its just SO good to just know God is there but I didnt even think he wasn't, you know...
