I just wondering if any August Mums to be, have started any type of exercise, and if, so what type? I was thinking of doing ante-natal Yoga, as I'm not a big fan of swimming and it's been too hot to walk lately. Don't get me wrong, I'm not a fitness fanatic or anything, would love to believe I was:p but, thought now that the sickness is abading it might be time to look into some form of exercise.

I do antenatal yoga,..and I did with Scarlett too,...... it was excellent!! I did it right p to 38 weeks when I went into labour......
Yeah, now that I feel better I need to start doing something too. Otherwise I am going to be a whale.
Might join up at the gym down the road and just walk or something.

For the Brisbane girls, apparently the Mater has some good exercise classes that you can do from about 14 weeks I think. I'll probably look into that.
I agree it's too hot to walk. Before I was pregnant I would walk every day at 5.30 but now my sleep is more important and by the time I get up it's too hot or I'm rushing to work.
I've never been a big swimmer but have heard it's great for when you're pregnant. There's a pool at the end of my street that does aqua aerobics (not sure how good that is for pregnant women  ) and masters swimming every night so maybe that's the go for me.
Oh right, these bl**dy Brisbane girls again...as long as you Brisbane girls are allright then everything's all right then.
:p
Don't worry about us fat tubs of lard south of the border. WILL ya?

Hi Monique
They are gentle aerobics classes on Saturdays at 8 and 9.20 and Mons and Weds at 5.30. Cost is $12 per session or $50 for 5. You need to call 3840 8787 to book. Maybe I'll see you there.
