hi everyone, i am trying to organise a (nonreligious, more earthy/ spirit) ceremony for my little girl. I have only been to one and would like more ideas to inspire me. I don't want it too formal, i like a natural ceremony without a celebrant. If anyone has some inspiring ideas or know of great websites please share. thanks

Although my husban and i are religious we didnt want a christening for our son, so we had more of a welcoming ceremony for him. I wrote a poem about his birth/ his personality and the joy he has brought us and read it out. my husband wrote about his hopes for cooper and the type of father he wants to be and the life he wants us to have as a family and he read this out. w eprayed for him and the life that lay ahead of him and his godparents(lifeguides somepeople say which i think is nice) promised to always be there for him and inspire and try to influence him. and then we all shared a lovely meal prepared by my mum, me, my grandmother, mil etc. It was a lovely way to welcome him into the family :)
ps for my daughters i am thinking of writing a song and getting my fil to put it to music and play guitar. hope some of these ideas help :)
