View Full Version : Birthday Gift Ideas
Hi everyone
DD1 is turning 3 in May and I am looking for suggestions for any girl toys. The problem is that we seem to have so much stuff already (in fact I am constantly falling over toys left lying around  ) We have stuffed toys coming out of our ears. Besides a couple of barbies which she likes and some new clothes I am stuck. Any suggestions greatly appreciated.

Easterlily,
Age three is a great age to start some arts & crafts. A really popular thing at the moment is scrapbooking. Kids love looking at photos of themselves and find it very amusing and almost baffling to see themselves as babies.
Maybe you could buy her a little scrapbooking starter kit and get colour copies of photos made so the two of you can work on a special little album together. It can get a little bit messy at times but if you keep it all in a special box and bring it out only when supervision is close at hand then I'm sure it will be fun.
Failing the arts & crafts I know my little nieces love jewellery such as bangles, beads and those little plastic rings. And we all know a woman can never have to much jewellery!!
Good luck finding the perfect present!!
Hi Easterlily,
my recomendations would be maybe a tent like a colourful beach tent or a chalk board. I got a chalk board for my daughters 3rd b'day and it's still a hit (she's nearly 8) I have also gotten into the habit of buying her bits of pretty matierial or scarfs and such she still spends hours playing with bits of matierial, it's amazing what they come up with, anything from capes to nappies to picnic rugs. :) Just don't be to dissapointed if she likes the pretty ribbon tying it up best! :D
Thanks for the suggestions girls :) I think some jewellery and a chalk board are things that she might really like. Thanks again.

hi ladies,
just thought i'd add, fisher price little people are great. our daughter (almost 3)loves them and she has an awesome imagination when she plays with them. its so cute to watch her having conversations in all these different voices and she sits there for ages with them. they even come in the bath sometimes !
