I've been asked to make a decorated cake for my neices kitchen tea which is on Sunday.
We are hoping for something fun like a stove top design or something else resembling kitchen products.
I've been searching the net tonight for ideas but can't find anything. Does anyone have a book or a photo of a cake similar to what I'm after?

What about a tea pot? You could just make a slab cake & cut out the shape os a tea pot & ice it real pretty.....

Ooh snap, I was going to suggest a tea pot shaped cake too!!!! Great minds think alike!!
.....or a plain shaped cake (circle, square) with little tea cups on it. Have you seen those little tea cups made of marshmallows! So cute! You just grab a marshmallow and attach half a lifesaver for the handle, a choc bud on top for the tea and a freckle on the bottom for the saucer. You attach them with icing sugar. Fiddly but looks amazing!

This site has some great teapot cakes (pictures and recipes) on it. They look fantastic but I have to admit that Nan's idea seems a lot simpler. Good luck!
