hi I'm pregnant and due in October (so not long now)
and I'm interested in having a trainee doula/midwife with me as I'm attempting a VBAC but could end up with a C/Section.
I'm having bubs at the Northern at Epping

I'm looking for a student as i don't have the $ but i am willing to cover costs for traveling/parking etc

I also live about 45min north of Epping

Thanks:ecomcity:

Rachael, it might be too late for a midwife, I think for follow through you need to be less than a certain week to do the follow through with you, but can certainly help with a doula.

Hi Rachael,
I'm due in October too and having my baby at Epping Hospital as well as attempting a VBAC.

I've finally found someone in the same situation as me....I was also considering getting a trainee doula but I'm not sure if it's too late.

Anyway my question to you is, did the midwives tell you that you weren't allowed to go over 40 weeks? otherwise I will have another c-section.......

confused.....

SEA, it's definitely not too late yet. I know doulas who have taken on clients in labour! Post your request everywhere you can - most trainee doulas are desperate to attend as many births as they can!

Wow.....Does anyone know if she did get her VBAC....I really hope so, but regardless of the outcome I just want to wish her and her new bub well and hope everything is ok :)
