Changing Boosters

I'm just learning about these new fitted cloth nappies & don't know how absorbent they are.

Do you need to change the nappy each time bubba wets or just the boosters?:confused:

No matter what brand of fitteds they are you do need to change the whole nappy and separate cover each time you change bub. So you have to start fresh.

As for how absorbent fitteds are, they vary on brands and what materials are used. Ie, Bamboo is more absorbent than hemp.

but for nappies like itti bittis, you can just change the boosters - because the cover is not absorbent at all, and all the absorbent layers are snapped in; so you can reuse the cover.

anything that gets weed through/on or holds wee, should be changed. generally this means that only covers can be reused.

absorbability - anything with bamboo or microfibre is generally a winner, hemp's not bad but less abs.
and nappies vary as to how much of the absorvent material there is - eg the whole nappy is absorbent (fitteds, AIOs), or just the booster (pockets, snap-in AIOs).

i tend to need to change ds every 4-6 hours, but in a full fitted bamboo nappy (eg baby beehinds bamboo) i can go 14 hours.
