DD is 9 and half months old. She has 3 bottle feeds a day of 210 mls. 1 first thing, 2nd after lunch and 3rd before bed. Lately she has only been drinking about half the first two bottles and three quarters of the last bottle. Is this normal? Should I be cutting a bottle out somewhere? If she is eating enough solids during the day does she need bottles? She sleeps 11 hours of a night for me without waking.

heya :) Christopher is the same age and is also cutting back on his bottles... I think it may be teeth... or else he is enjoying his solids too much as you suggested. He is also a great sleeper so I am letting him take the lead on this. I am however keeping an eye on his weight and behaviour. Any changes and I will have to change what I am doing. As I said though he is happy and healthy and sleeping. Apparently at this age they need between 400 and 550ml of milk a day and my magoo is probably still getting that even with his cutting back. Don't stress I guess. I will keep tabs on this thread to see if anyone thinks it's a tragic thing to do...
Aren't I a great help?? *laugh*

My bubs did this around that age also think it was mainly teething etc.
So just after he was only taking 1 good bottle of 200mls & then 2 bottles of about 100mls if i was lucky he has done a complete turn around ! He is now having anywhere from 4 to 5 bottles all 200mls !!!! Go figure !!!!
Just when you think you have them all worked out ........
As long as bubs isnt becoming lethargic or unlike himself, has wet nappies dont stress ! They dont let themselves starve just as they wont let themselves dehydrate unless they are sick which is a different matter !
If you become concerned take bubs straight to the doctor !
Good luck :)

my DD is 7 months old and she has never drunk the correct amount she is happy growing and putting on weight so i gave up stressing about it. she drank next to nothing when she was teething so i just gave more yoghurt which appearently has double the calcuim and some custard. as long as your bub is wetting nappies and growing then i was told not to worry.
