yes i put down four preferences
QUT Nursing/Midwifery combined course 4yrs (there are no pre requisites)
ACU Bachelor of Midwifery (they have two listed)(pass in English or STAT test)
and if cant get into them though i would also put
EEN Logan TAFE (no pre requisites)
i am hopeful to get into one of the courses that have middy in and the Doula course will give me higher assumed knowledge. i wont know if i have gotten in until early January.
Hope this helps

I guess one thing I would suggest is to go into the course with an open mind. I am doing the BMid through ACU, and when I started I had this little fantasy that all midwives were warm and fuzzy and caring ( most are LOL ) and that birth was nutured and women were in control. Well, I cam crashing down to earth when I did my 1st placement. Be aware that there is aspects that you NEED to learn, you may not agree with the concepts, but it is about being prepared and well educated to support women and empower them to make decisions, safe decisions for themselves and their babies. Good luck :)
Being a midwife is the most amazing and rewarding vocation. I think, live and breathe birth, breastfeeding and parenting.
I wouldnt change it for the world.
Good luck
