easier/harder second time around

I feel pregnant really easily with DS. I came off the pill, and a month later two blue lines showed up.

I have a feeling i might have to do a bit more work this time.
Just wondering if you found it harder to fall pregnant second time around.

We fell pregnant with ds 2 months after coming of the pill, we have been ttc our second now for 1 year, so i would have to say its harder at least for us but have no idea why its taking so long this time......

I personally found it harder.

I think it depends a lot on your age. There's only two years between TTC my first and TTc the second, but the variations were *huge*. Just two years and one small jump over that 35 yr mark had a marked difference on my ability to produce follicles (we went through IVF both times) and their ability to fertilise.

Also, I guess, your body is different after giving birth once.

Although, having said that, some people tend to fall pregnant more easily after one... so I guess that doesn't help much at all.

#2 is only just with us now.. I am 6 weeks along on Monday.

It was insanely hard for us to get this bub (over 12 months) and techincally we shouldnt have been able to fall with DD as I was still ment to be covered by birth control !!! Yet less than 2 weeks after having a practise go at TTc I got my first BFP.

We where ment to be starting IVF this week but i got a BFP at on one last natural attempt that wasnt really an attempt !!!

Longer ttc for me second time round, went off the pill with jacob only got one period and i was preg.. so i was off for 3 months"shocked" this time its 4months already(which i know isn't long) just feels it! ha ha waiting for period now... did a HPT- neg.. 33 days since last period, not regular at all.. annoying, funny yest i had some very very light brown stuff when i wiped(sorry TMI) came to nothing.. preg test was done in arvo thou, last time i had sex was 2 weeks ago was ovulating around that time, but didn't have sex as much as DH was sick with a cold... hmmmm perhapes its still coming i had a few twinges here & there but nothing as yet, the longest my period has been is 37 days, perhapes I'll wait till next sun it will 40 days then do another HPT... ANY THOUGHTS ANY ONE????? :wave: sorry i went off track abit hahaha:laughing:

It was shorter for Second time round for us.

With our first it took 8 months to conceive her and with our second it took 2 months to conceive him.

Im hoping third time round is as easy as second time round.

Longer. Ds was a wonderful surprise as we weren't even trying (I had insanely long cycles due to pcos, so didnt think I was even ovulating). We're on 11 months now trying for #2.

My first I fell while still on bc, my 2nd it took just on 3 years and a lot of heartache and we've just been blessed #3 coming and that took just on 9 months!! So go figure!! I think that when you are trying it doesn't happen as quick but when you least expect it, bang, there it is!!

dd was a surprise pregnancy :) , with ds it took us a year !!

It took us over a year to conceive DD, mind you we weren't really 'actively' trying, just not doing anything to prevent it happening. We got married in November, and I fell pregnant with DD 5 months later :yelclap: when I'd practically given up on the idea of having kids.

We had been TTC#2 for 2 years exactly when I fell pregnant in January this year, but unfortunately I miscarried in March so now we're back to square 1 :banghead: :mad: :hair:
