So tonight is the 2nd time I've put DS in his BBB's.

I'm still a bit nervous and not very confident on the leakage situation.
This time he has the small snap at the back, then a booster, then the large snap at the front folded, then a microfleece liner. After doing up the nappy I've put another booster then the PUL cover.I used the large PUL this time too just to make sure everything was all tucked in securely.

The first night was a bit ho-hum as the nappy seemed to have wicked and I used the medium PUL so maybe it wasn't fitting properly.

So :fingerscrossed: what I've done tonight will stop the leakage if any. I noticed though that the BBB doesn't really snug his legs properly though, they're not a close tight fit like the sposies are IYKWIM.

:fingerscrossed:

We'll see.

good luck I was paranoid the first few times i put kenz to bed in cloth
My favorite night time for a few weeks was berry plush hemp with a bamboo booster but she got a leak the other night and i tried a green kids with a bamboo insert pluss a bamboo booster pluss a micro fleece insert as well and i have to say i was SO impressed 12 hours later no sign of a leak and she was as dry as couldnt beleive it so that is now kenzees new night combo which is great cause it means i can save ehr berry plush for day time and show them off:)

Unforunately my combo didn't work.
DS was dry when I checked him at 3am whilst he was having a feed, but by the time he woke at 7am.....he was saturated all up the front of his clothes through to his sleeping bag and he had a small pooh leak out the sides of his legs on both sides

This is the 2nd leak we've had. There is so much boosting in there it's not funny, he can hardly get around with his big bubble butt.

I'm not sure now if I want to try for a 3rd time. I'm a bit disappointed.

Sorry to hear that it didn't work out for you & bubs. :hugs: I know when we started using BBBs for night, i found that putting the booster inside the nappy made it gape too much around the waist & legs & i could only just do up the snaps! Maybe if you think you need both boosters, perhaps try putting them both on the outside of the nappy? That should help with the fit around his legs. If you still feel unsure you coyld still put a sposie on over the top of the BBB (i know it would be fat!) - some mums find that works.
Maybe try them during the day instead for a few days too if you only have a few & use sposies for a couple of nights till you feel up to giving it another shot. Good luck whatever you decide

Also do you think they've been prewashed enough times? And i haven't tried using PUL at night, instead i put DD in a lanolised wool cover & find that works really well.

Have you tried putting a mircofibre booster or folded cloth inbetween the mircofleece liner and the rest of the nappy? They are so thristy! I use one on my bubs and the rest of the bb bamboo nappy is still relatively dry still in the morning:yes: .

I don't know how much more I can fit in there ?

With all the boosting it was hard enough to do up the nappy as it was and I think that's how the pooh leaked too, there was a gap around the legs due to the thick layers of boosters.

J'Dore what is the total combo you use ?

I've washed them 4 times so maybe it's not enough?
I did look at the lanolised wool covers. I will keep that in mind if I go for the trifecta !
